Abstract: The present invention provides a laser processing apparatus having a laser oscillator for outputting a pulsed laser beam; deflection unit for deflecting the pulsed laser beam to irradiate a object to be processed with the deflected pulsed laser beam; a mounting base on which the object is placed and which is movable in an axial direction or two-axial directions perpendicular to each other; and local shielding unit for controlling an atmosphere around the surface of the object to be processed which is irradiated with the laser beam. When a thin semiconductor film with a thickness of 1 ?m or less is formed over the surface, minute convex portions are formed, which causes a problem that characteristics of TFTs vary among elements. Minute particles generated and adhered to a main surface of a substrate through a laser processing, which is difficult to remove in general surface cleaning, become preventable by the invention.

Abstract: In a welding power supply, a feedback circuit senses electrical signals from the power output studs and from remote welding sense leads. The feedback control circuit scales the electrical signals and converts the signals to binary numbers having magnitude bits and a polarity bit respectively. The binary numbers, representing the signals, are simultaneously shifted into a logic processor for calculation of a feedback signal based on the digitized input. The feedback signal is calculated based on the polarity of connectivity of the remote welding sense leads as represented by the binary numbers. The feedback signal is then fed into the power supply output controller for automatically adjusting the power output of the arc welder.

Abstract: In a dispensing system and process for dispensing a warm wet wipe, a wet has an aqueous solution and microencapsulated delivery vehicles including a temperature change agent capable of generating a temperature change upon contact with the aqueous solution. An activating device facilitates rupturing of the microencapsulated delivery vehicles as the wet wipe is removed from a wet wipe container to allow contact between the temperature change agent and the aqueous solution of the wet wipe to thereby dispense a warm wet wipe. In another embodiment the wet wipe in the container has an aqueous solution. A lotion having the microencapsulated delivery vehicles is disposed in a lotion container free from contact with the wet wipe. An applicator in communication with the lotion is operable to apply the lotion to the wet wipe while the wet wipe is disposed at least in part within the wet wipe container.

Abstract: A fluid dispenser includes a diluent fluid inlet; a fluid-driven proportioning air pump in fluid communication with a diluent fluid inlet, the air pump being driven by fluid from the diluent fluid inlet and having an air outlet isolated from the diluent fluid inlet; a fluid container having first and second openings, the first opening in fluid communication with the pump air outlet; and wherein the pump creates air pressure and flow to evacuate the container of fluid through the second opening. An associated method of evacuating fluid from a container includes supplying a diluent fluid to the proportioning air pump through the pump fluid inlet; delivering a volume of air from the pump air outlet to the container in order to displace a similar volume of fluid and evacuate that volume of fluid from the container; and diluting the evacuated fluid with diluent fluid from the pump fluid outlet.
