Abstract: A laser beam despeckling device including a laser diode for producing a laser beam having a central characteristic wavelength. The device includes diode current drive circuitry for producing a diode drive current to drive said laser diode and produce said laser beam. High frequency modulation (HFM) circuitry modulates the diode drive current at a sufficiently high frequency to cause said laser diode to produce spectral side-band components about the central characteristic wavelength, and reducing the coherence as well as coherence length of the laser beam. An optical beam multiplexing (OMUX) module is provided for receiving the laser beam as input beam, a generating as output, a plurality of laser beam components that are recombined to produce a composite laser beam having substantially reduced coherence for use in illumination applications where a substantial reduction in speckle pattern noise is achieved.

Abstract: The invention discloses a touch-stop safety device for the shredder opening. A protection board is pivotally installed on both sides of the opening of a shredder housing. The protection board is adjacent to the switch. When the protection board is under a pressure caused by an inserted finger, it rotates clockwise and touches the switch to power off the shredder. The shredding blades thus stop rotating so that the user is not hurt.

Abstract: A shredder holds a cutting blade assembly including a motor and a gear box inside its case and has a trash bin for collecting paper chips underneath the cutting blade assembly. A swinging board is provided in the vicinity of the paper outlet of the case. The swinging board is connected to a transmission axis via a shaft. One end of the transmission axis has a passive gear for receiving the rotating power from the cutting blade assembly via gears. As the transmission axis turns, the swinging board is driven by the shaft to perform a reciprocal motion so that the paper chips falling from the blades are evenly distributed over the trash bin. Paper chips accumulate in an even way to maximize the space in the trash bin. This prevents the formation of chip mountain and thus the problem of paper jams.

Abstract: A trash bin of the shredder consists of an inner bin and an outer bin. When the user inserts the inner bin into the outer bin, a bolt assembly combines the inner bin and the outer bin. An energy storing element of a pushing mechanism stores energy to push the inner bin out. The user can trigger the bolt assembly by depressing or stepping to release the energy stored in the energy storing element. The inner bin automatically jumps out for the user to clean trash paper therein.

Abstract: An overend take-off crosswound bobbin and a method for its production are designed in such a way that the density of the finished crosswound bobbin is increased and the run-off characteristics during further processing are optimized. For this purpose, in one variant parallel windings are introduced at intervals. In another variant, when the bobbin diameter is small the yarn is wound on at a smaller pitch angle than for a larger diameter. Furthermore, a traversing stroke which is reduced by comparison with the bobbin width is displaced along the bobbin width.

Abstract: There is provided an apparatus for secure display of a portable electronic device wherein the device has an attached electrically conductive cable that is integral to the device and essential to the operation thereof, the device cable having a first end connected to the device and a second end, and an intermediate section, the apparatus comprising: device support means normally supporting the device and means for extending and retracting the device cable. The means for extending and retracting the cable includes pulley means having a first set of pulleys having a fixed position and a second set of linearly movable spring loaded pulleys. As the device is moved from the device support the second set of pulleys is urged towards the first set of pulleys thereby extending the device cable against the resistance of the spring loading, thereby creating retractive force for retraction of the cable. When the device is released the cable is retracted to the device support until halted by a cable stop.
