  • Patent number: 7410300
Abstract: An adjusting structure for adjusting amount of lubricant applied to a linear guideway comprises a self-lubricating oil tank, a positioning board and at least one adjusting board. The self-lubricating oil tank is fixed on the slide block, and the self-lubricating oil tank has an oil-storage space and a lubricating unit. The adjusting board and the positioning board are superposed and arranged between the oil-storage space and the lubricating unit. The displacement of the adjusting board can change the size of the aligned apertures of the positioning board and the adjusting board, and can precisely adjust the amount of lubricating oil transmitted from the oil-storage space to the lubricating unit. Therefore, the present invention can use the adjusting board to change the lubricating effect at any time, it not only can save lubricating oil but also can improve the lubricating effect.

  • Patent number: 7410336
Abstract: The tool for rewinding winch belts has a C-shaped member having a pair of parallel arms, a transverse portion joining the arms, and a shaft extending from the transverse portion away from the arms along a rotational axis thereof. Each arm has a boss protruding therefrom, with both bosses protruding toward each other along a working axis. One of the bosses has an inclined end defining a straight side facing a working direction and an inclined surface facing a releasing direction. In another aspect, a clevis and a pin extending through a diameter of the shaft define an articulation axis of the tool, extending at right angle from the working axis and the rotational axis. The articulation of the pin and the articulation of the bosses in the holes through the socket of a winch jointly define an universal joint along the tool's rotational axis.

Abstract: The invention relates to an arm exoskeleton comprising a moving system of joints placed in parallel with the joints of the human arm, the exoskeleton comprising a shoulder exoskeleton, an elbow exoskeleton, and a wrist exoskeleton. In all, the exoskeleton has sixteen joints providing sixteen degrees of freedom. A support worn on the torso of a human operator comprises a rigid front plate and a rigid back plate. The shoulder exoskeleton has its proximal end fixed to the front plate, whereby the front plate provides a fixed reference for all movements of the exoskeleton, and the wrist exoskeleton is fixed to a rigid glove worn on the hand of the operator. Active joints are controlled by flexible cable tendons bridging the exoskeleton, said tendons themselves being actuated by control units disposed on the rigid back plate. Inflatable cushions prevent the wrist exoskeleton and the shoulder exoskeleton from moving relative to the arm of the operator.

  • Patent number: 7410339
Abstract: The invention relates to a transfer plant, especially for loading and unloading ISO containers from container ships at seaports, comprising a vertical support which is propped up on the land side and on which a horizontal extension arm is braced. Said horizontal extension arm, along which a horizontal conveying device can be displaced, protrudes across the ship that is to be unloaded on the sea side. The horizontal conveying device cooperates with hoisting and lowering devices which pick up and put down the containers. The aim of the invention is to create a redesigned transfer plant and a method for loading and unloading containers, preferably ISO containers, from container ships in seaports, which allow the transfer rate to be significantly increased and consequently the lay times of the container ships at the pier to be substantially reduced. Said aim is achieved by disposing at least two horizontal conveying devices (9, 10) on the horizontal extension arm (1.4, 1.5, 1.

  • Patent number: 7410341
Abstract: The invention relates to a system of shaft sealing for a turbine engine. Carbon-ring seals placed on pressurized bearing compartments are adapted to operate on ceramic runners which are cooled by lubricating fluid. The runners are closed at one end so that fluid does not enter an interface between the runner and the seal. The seal is held in place in a cylindrical seal housing with an inwardly projecting seal retention wall. An internally cooled seal housing is provided having an enclosed annular cooling groove is formed in the wall. Fluid is circulated through the groove to provide cooling of the seal housing and the carbon-ring seal. The circulated fluid is provided from the same source as fluid that is circulated to lubricate bearings on the engine. However, a separately controlled fluid delivery system is employed so that a rate of flow of fluid to the seal housing can be specifically controlled.

Abstract: A reciprocating pump includes a drive section and a pump section. The drive section has a reciprocating coil assembly to which alternating polarity control signals are applied during operation. A permanent magnet structure of the drive section creates a magnetic flux field which interacts with an electromagnetic field produced during application of the control signals to the coil. Depending upon the polarity of the control signals applied to the coil, the coil is driven in one of two directions of movement. A drive member transfers movement of the coil to a pump element which reciprocates with the coil to draw fluid into a pump chamber and expel the fluid during each pump cycle. The pump is particularly well suited to cyclic pumping applications, such as fuel injection systems for internal combustion engines.
