Abstract: A cap has a recessed side wall which receives an indicia bearing card. A transparent plate covers the card. With this arrangement, the card is protected from the weather and may be swapped out for a different card. The cap may be configured to cap a wheel stop but may also be placed along the periphery of a tee-off box on a golf course. In the latter instance, spikes with golf-ball like heads may be used to moor the caps in place.

Abstract: A toy device unit that includes a pair of stacked transparent plates coupled to a housing. A user can write images on each plate. Mounted to the housing is a first light source aligned with an edge of the first plate and a second light source aligned with an edge of the second plate. The unit has a switch that can be moved by a user to illuminate either the first plate or the second plate.

Abstract: A light box display for use in a retail environment includes a light box, a graphic, and a graphic cover. The light box includes a first member and a second member configured to collectively house a plurality of light sources. The graphic cover is selectively coupled to the light box with at least one of static build up and friction fit to secure the graphic between the light box and the graphic cover such that the graphic is configured to be backlit with light emanating from the plurality of light sources. The first member of the light box includes a first member side wall and the second member of the light box includes a second member side wall. The second member side wall generally fits around and overlaps a substantial entirety of the first member side wall. Associated methods are also disclosed and provide additional advantages.

Abstract: A printed flexible magnet constructed of a flexible magnetic sheet of material includes a first portion and a second portion that are divided from each other by a primary line of weakness. The first portion may include one or more printed advertisements on its front and/or back surface, and may be separated from the first portion at the line of weakness. The second portion may include printed coupon on its front and/or back surface. According to another embodiment the second portion may be divided into a plurality of segments by secondary lines of weakness. According to such an embodiment, the segments may be detached from each other at the secondary lines of weakness and may be detached from the first portion at the primary line of weakness. The magnetic sheet may be have any of a variety of shapes, such as circular, rectangular or triangular, and the first portion, second portion and segments may have a variety of complimentary shapes within the magnetic sheet.

A nut is fixed to the frame and an axle has a rear end threaded to the nut and extends in the cylinder. The axle has a collar trapped in the front chamber by the diaphragm. A first spring around the cylinder, has a front end abutting the slide and a rear end abutting the flange. A second spring extending at least partly in the rear chamber has a rear end abutting the nut and a front end abutting the diaphragm. A third spring in the front chamber, is shorter in length than the front chamber. A recoil adjusting plug is used with or without the recoil mechanism.

The sheath is bag-shaped and is slipped over the cartridge magazine upside down so that the rim of the sheath will contact the region of the bottom of the cartridge magazine.

Abstract: Presented is a modular illuminated fishing lure having an electronics module, a bait attachment module, and a bait module. The electronics module has a light source which transmits light through fiber optic cable strands in a predetermined pattern controlled by an electronic control module. A power connection on the electronics module allows the selective connection of a power plug to close an electrical circuit, and provide power to the light sources and the electronic control module. The power plug is disposed on a retaining module so that when not connected, the power plug is held away from the power connection. The bait attachment module may have a connector allowing interchangeable bait modules.

Abstract: An elongated device with a self-contained vibration generating mechanism including a battery driven motor and eccentric weight and means to vary the vibration that can be easily attached to an ordinary fishing rod having a reel and line mounted thereon to cause the fishing rod shaft to vibrate in a manner to cause a bait or lure attached to the line to vibrate in a selective manner to attract fish, without passing the fishing line through the device.

Abstract: A bait fish-holding type fishing lure having a lure body in the form of a turbine member mounted rotatably on a longitudinally-extending axle member is arranged for securement at its front end to a fishing line, the lure body turbine member formed as a substantially hollow headcap member which mounts a rearwardly-projecting bait fish body support rod arranged to support and secure a bait fish during operation of the fishing lure, the lure body turbine member including at least one peripheral, outwardly projecting, longitudinally curved turbine fin member arranged to cause rotation of the lure body and supported bait fish on a substantially consistent and steady axis of rotation on the supporting axle member upon relative movement of the lure and surrounding water during fishing operations.

Abstract: This invention is a fishing device that is used in its preferred embodiment to trap bait between the hook and the line, within a boundary formed between the eyes. It eliminates the need for complicated knots, when using organic or otherwise fragile bait. It also prevents unnecessary damage to the bait during normal fishing activities.

Abstract: A rodent killing trap includes a case having front and rear sides. A plurality of electrodes are operatively coupled to the case and exposed adjacent the case front and rear sides so as to electrocute a rodent upon contact. The rodent killing trap may be connected to an electrical power source and includes a switch for selectively actuating the plurality of electrodes by electrical connection to the power source. The device may only be activated or deactivated using a tool or implement so as to be safe from use by children.

Abstract: A fruit fly trap whose exterior shape represents a piece of fruit such as an apple, orange, banana or the like. The trap housing includes a bottom base portion and a top cover portion. The cover contains various holes through which fruit flies can gain access to the interior of the trap. The trap also includes a locking mechanism for securing the base and cover together. Located inside the trap is a natural product attractant stored within the interior of the trap. The construction of the trap is such that the liquid or powder attractant is retained inside the trap so it will not spill out. Also, a disabling adhesive is located on a glueboard insert and/or on the interior walls of the trap. Thus, when fruit flies enter the trap they will get caught in the adhesive or simply die because they cannot escape.

Abstract: A mechanized system for exterminating and several embodiments thereof are presented. Steam is generated and transported to a movable applicator. The applicator is positioned over a designated area of ground and the steam is applied exterminating the insects on and/or under the designated area of ground.

Abstract: A novel fuel for the gasoline-powered internal combustion engine and an additive for the diesel combustion engine is provided by producing an Ethanol/Coal synthesization that approaches the BTU content of Gasohol. In one implementation the synthesizing process is performed by extracting hydrocarbons from the coal using a release agent and synthesizing the extracted coal hydrocarbons with an ethyl alcohol product to produce a fuel suitable for use in an internal combustion engine.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a power generation system, which includes a source of a seed oil, a source of alcohol, and a reactor in communication with the source of seed oil and the source of alcohol. The reactor produces a biofuel product. The system has a power source that operates on a biofuel energy source to produce heated exhaust. The power source is in communication with the reactor to utilize a portion of the biofuel product as its biofuel energy source. The system has a heat transfer mechanism that transfers heat from the exhaust manifold to the reactor. The power source also converts mechanical power into electrical power. Also disclosed is a system that involves extraction of oil from an oilseed product. A method of extracting oil from an oilseed product, a method of making a transesterified seed oil, and a method of making a biofuel are also disclosed, as are products obtained thereby.

Abstract: An artificial firelog of the invention includes as constituents (a) a combustible cellulosic material and (b) a combustible non-petroleum wax, wherein the relative proportions of the constituents are, by weight, from about 30% to about 70% of (a) and from about 30% to about 70% of (b) for 100 parts of (a) and (b). In one form of the invention, the combustible non-petroleum wax constituent may include one or more combustible materials derived from plant oils, vegetable oils, animal oils, fats, rosin, pitch, waxy materials and combinations thereof. In another form of the invention, the combustible non-petroleum wax constituent may include a formulated blend of individual non-petroleum wax components. In yet another form of the invention a combustible binding agent can be added to the blend of materials resulting in reduction of the portion of the more costly combustible wax component.

Abstract: An artificial firelog according to the present invention may comprise as constituents a combustible cellulosic or fiber material, a non-absorbent combustible oil- and/or fat-retaining material, and a combustible binder/fuel or wax in appropriate proportions. A combustible binding agent may be also be added as an additional constituent material to allow a further reduction of the combustible wax component. Certain naturally occurring agricultural by products and synthetic filter materials contain oils and/or fats that provide increased BTU value beyond the cellulosic or mineral components of the material. When these oil- and/or fat-retaining materials added to a blend of firelog material, the non-absorbent properties and additional BTU content of these alternative raw materials allow the amount of higher BTU wax material to be reduced without a dramatic reduction in fuel content in the finished mixture.

Various alien substances are not introduced through the blade scars 6 formed in the flexible soft rubber, and insect control liquid and water is ejected without any clogging by water pressure to ensure effective dripping of water, nutrition liquid and insect control liquid to the culture medium layer of a mushroom cultivating plate.

A cover includes a top panel with side and end panels extending downwardly from the top panel to form an envelope shaped to fit snugly over the stacked material. The stacked material is arranged in a shape of predetermined length, breadth and height, and the envelope is configured to have a corresponding shape. The envelope surrounds the stacked material without enclosing the pallet. The length and breadth of each panel of the envelope corresponds to a respective portion of the shape of the stacked material. In addition, each panel comprises a flexible material that is impervious to moisture. An outside surface of each panel is light and heat-reflective to protect the covered material and an inside surface is non-reflective. One or more of the panels includes promotional and/or information indicia on an outside surface thereof.

The riser is attached within the circumferential wall and includes an upper end and a lower end. The reactor also has a discharge opening for the discharging of the product gas. The riser is fastened to at least one reactor wall. The base wall of the reactor has a through-opening through which the lower end of the riser movably extends.

Abstract: Procedure for the use of glycerine as biomass, for the production of energy by means of a spray gasification process, based on the use of a mixture of oxygen, vapour and atmospheric air as gasifying agents, which are introduced into a Gasification Chamber at temperatures above 900° C., so that the gas produced is transferred to a Reformer wherein, also at temperatures above 900° C., the different partial oxidation/thermal cracking reactions in the presence of metal oxides are completed and, subsequently, hot cycloned to retain ashes greater than 5 microns in size, whereupon the gas is sharply cooled using a basket-type Evaporator.

Abstract: A method and apparatus, in one example, relates to a system and method for the generation of very low-tar, high-energy synthesis gas from a large variety of carbonaceous feedstock, including those with higher moisture levels than conventional gasifiers. The system comprises a gasification reactor wherein a portion of the energy of the output syngas of the reactor is used to heat the gasification zone of the reactor via an annular space surrounding the gasification zone of the gasifier, to maintain a temperature condition above 800° C. The maintenance of a long, quasi-uniform high-temperature gasification zone reduces the amount of input air or oxygen, reduces bridging within the gasifier, cracks pyrolysis oils, increases the conversion of char, minimizes heat losses from the bed, and converts moisture within the packed bed into a gasification medium. This results in a very low tar synthesis gas with less nitrogen dilution and higher energy content than conventional gasifiers.

In one exemplary embodiment, the a door is connected to a door frame, such that the door is moveable between an open position and a closed position. In another exemplary embodiment, a door is coupled to a door frame by a hinge. The hinge is configured to move the door in translation as the door is rotated from the open position to the closed position. Abstract: A tool, such as a monolithic ceramic round tool or ceramic inserted round tool fabricated from materials containing silicon nitride, is used for machining composite materials, plastics, and graphite. The tool contains at least a ?-silicon nitride phase and a grain boundary phase that is composed of rare earth element oxides such as zirconia, yttria, ceria, and compounds that contain elements such as aluminum, magnesium, silicon, nitrogen and oxygen. The tool is formed by consolidating powder components at elevated temperature. The consolidated ceramic has a porosity of less than 2 vol. %.
