Abstract: An air conditioning case houses an evaporator for an air conditioning system and a blower unit. A drainage hole for water that condenses on the evaporator is located between the evaporator and the blower unit. An extension wall shields the drainage hole from the air blown by the blower unit. A shielding wall shields a water channel located between the evaporator and the air conditioning case from the blower unit. A partition wall located within the water channel extends from the air conditioning case to the evaporator.

Abstract: A can shaping process in which container preforms (F) are mounted on a table (16) which is rotated so a preform is moved from an initial loading station (P1) to a molding station (P4). A molding unit (20) includes a two-part mold (20a, 20b) split vertically in half, with inner surfaces (56) of the respective mold halves shaped to produce a desired container profile. Once the preform is in place, a pressurization unit (102) is lowered into place from above the mold onto an open, upper end of the preform. The mold is then closed and pressurized air is introduced into the preform. The air pressure forces the sidewall of the preform outwardly against the inner surface of the mold to conform the shape of the container to a desired profile. After the shaping operation is complete, the pressurized air is withdrawn from the container, the mold halves are moved apart from each other, opening the mold.

Abstract: The invention proposes a method for the integral moulding of a flange (5) onto the end of a round or oval pipe (11) of thin-walled sheet metal. This method takes place in two stages. In a first stage, for the purpose of accumulating material, a sectionally circular or spiral-shaped bead (17) is moulded on by means of a pre-forming roller tool (9), comprising a combination of rollers (13 to 15) (Figure a). In a second stage, the moulded-on bead is compacted with the aid of a final-forming roller tool (18), comprising the rollers (19) and (20), to produce an at least partly solid flange (5) (Figure b).

Abstract: The pressures provided by several wheels or rollers (18, 20, 22, 24, 30, 32) on various members of a metal panel are controlled to produce a curved panel of desired radius with little or no distortion. Predetermined pressures are used to achieve the desired curvature and increased pressures provide smaller radii of curvature. For metal “U” panels pressure is preferably applied on two members. For seamed metal panels pressure is preferably applied on three members. Additional curvature may be obtained by use of a curving bar (82). Motors (34, 36, 38) drive the wheels, which urge these panel members through the wheels, the wheels having a separation distance less than the original thickness of the metal. This results in the metal of those members being elongated, thereby curving the panel with little or no distortion. Repeatable results are also provided.

The diameter of the taper portion gradually increases from the head end of the taper portion to the tail end of the taper portion where the diameter is D1. The taper angle on the surface where the diameter is D2 is larger than or equal to the taper angle on the tail surface of the taper portion following the point where the diameter is D2. Abstract: By constructing clamping jaws, which are employed for applying the desired force to the rings to be crimped, and mounting the clamping jaws in a plane which is substantially perpendicular to the plane in which the handle members are positioned or constructing the clamping jaws for arcuate movement relative to the handle members, an easily employed, force generating, crimping tool assembly is achieved wherein the clamping jaws cooperatively associated with the handle members are positioned at a fixed angle relative to the handle members, or are constructed for being arcuately pivotable relative to the handle members. The crimping tool assembly of the present invention is able to provide the desired crimping forces to rings mounted in areas in which access is virtually impossible to achieve using prior art tool assemblies.
