Publication number: 20080232241Abstract: Methods and systems are provided to generate digital coefficients for a filter. The generation of coefficients relies on a Fourier transformation of an impulse response in time domain that is zero padded, e.g., zeros are appended to an array corresponding to a sampled input signal of length M. A unit prototypical filter is generated through a frequency domain response of length NFFT=NS+M?1, wherein NS is a sampling length of the incoming signal. The unit prototypical filter is then circularly shifted in order to generate a band pass filter centered at a desired frequency. Circularly shifted filters are point-to-point added to generate a set of composite digital coefficients to filter the incoming signal. The reference frequencies for the composite filter are extracted from a message received from one or more base stations associated with one or more service providers. The composite filter typically operates on a frequency repeater.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2008Publication date: September 25, 2008Applicant: QUALCOMM INCORPORATEDInventors: James A. Publication number: 20080232254Abstract: Network circuitry and a method of operating the same in establishing and deleting a service flow in a wireless network. A network station receives a request, from an initiating network station, to establish a service flow. The network station receiving the request issues a response to that request, following which it expects an acknowledgement from the initiator. Upon absence of such an acknowledgement, the receiving station transmits a message, to the initiator, to explicitly delete the service flow. This ensures that the initiator is not placed into an ambiguous state of transmitting payload traffic to a receiver that is ignoring or not receiving that traffic, in the case in which the initiator is also the transmitter of the payload traffic. This circuitry and method also ensures that the initiator is not in an ambiguous state, in the case in which it is the intended receiver of the payload traffic.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2008Publication date: September 25, 2008Applicant: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATEDInventors: Harshal S. In addition, the UE requests resource allocation in a different form from the base station depending on the type of traffic, and the base station performs scheduling according to the resource allocation request.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2006Publication date: September 25, 2008Applicant: Electronics and Telecommunications Research InstituteInventors: Geon-Min Yeo, Byung-Han Ryu

Publication number: 20080232262Abstract: Improved network topology discovery techniques are disclosed. For example, an automated method for discovering a topology of a network, having a plurality of nodes, includes the following steps. A first traceroute process is performed for a given source node and one or more destination nodes listed in a target list so as to discover one or more paths through one or more intermediate nodes between the given source node and the one or more destination nodes. The one or more intermediate nodes discovered during the first traceroute process are added to the target list. A second traceroute process is performed for the given source node and the one or more intermediate nodes discovered during the first traceroute process so as to discover one or more paths through one or more additional intermediate nodes between the given source node and the one or more intermediate nodes discovered during the first traceroute process.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2007Publication date: September 25, 2008Inventors: Alina Beygelzimer, Shang Q. Publication number: 20080232268Abstract: A transmit signal second-order inter-modulation (IM2) canceller for a portable handset using a full duplex mode of operation (e.g., WCDMA) is used to controllably reduce IM2 introduced by a transmit signal that appears in a received signal in a receive channel of the portable handset. The transmit signal IM2 canceller includes a delay estimator and a digital signal adjuster. The delay estimator receives a first input from a receive channel and a second input from a transmit channel. The delay estimator generates an estimate of the IM2 that the transmit channel introduces in the receive channel. The digital signal adjuster removes the estimate of the IM2 before forwarding a modified receive channel signal to a baseband subsystem of the portable handset.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2008Publication date: September 25, 2008Applicant: SKYWORKS SOLUTIONS, INC.Inventors: Masoud Kahrizi, Jaleh Komaili, John E.
