Abstract: A printing method realizes good reproducibility of an ink pattern and facilitates both the alignment operation between a printing plate and a blanket and the alignment operation between the blanket and a substrate, enabling the printing with positional accuracy as high as the TFT substrate can be fabricated. The flat portion of the printing plate and the flat portion of the endless belt-shaped blanket are contacted in the state where the said flat portions are opposed. Then, the said flat portions are detached, forming an ink pattern on the flat portion of the blanket. Thereafter, the flat portion of the blanket and the flat portion of the substrate are contacted in the state where the said flat portions are opposed. Subsequently, the said flat portions are detached, transferring the ink pattern to the flat portion of the substrate from the blanket.

These three features increase sailing efficiency and reduce both hydrodynamic and aerodynamic drag on the sailboat. This sailboat incorporates a rigid sail with sail-mounted ballast to balance the rolling moment and pitching moment produced on the sail by the wind. The rigid self-supported sail increases sailing efficiency by eliminating the need for supporting wires and structures and by taking advantage of the superior aerodynamic characteristics of rigid sails over flexible sails. Abstract: The present invention provides a film or a sheet-like moisture indicator that allows one to visually recognize moisture by changing from a non-transparent color such as white to transparent when it is moistened. The present invention also provides a film or a sheet-like time indicator that allows one to visually recognize the passage of a predetermined length of time by becoming transparent when it is moistened. The indicator of the invention has a water-soluble, non-transparent layer formed of a non-transparent, dry film composition, which comprises a water-soluble cellulose derivative, as well as a water-soluble compound containing at least one metal selected from the group consisting of monovalent, divalent, and trivalent metals. The indicator may further comprise, on the water-soluble, non-transparent layer, a water-soluble transparent layer, a water-insoluble support layer, and/or an attachment layer (an adhesive layer and a release paper therefor) for attaching the indicator to a test target.

Abstract: A method of growing silicon single crystals with a [110] crystallographic axis orientation by the Czochralski method is provided according to which a silicon seed crystal doped with a high concentration of boron is used and an included angle of a conical part during shoulder section formation is maintained within a specified range. It is thereby possible to grow large-diameter and heavy-weight dislocation-free silicon single crystals with a diameter of 300 mm or more in a stable manner, without the fear of dropping the single crystal during pulling up. Therefore, the method can be properly utilized in producing silicon single crystals as semiconductor materials.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for applying a sticky coating to a rim of a drinking container to add flavor to a drink and/or facilitate applying a granulated flavoring material to the rim. The apparatus includes a bottle containing a sticky liquid which may be flavored, and a removable applicator. The applicator includes a handle which may serve as a cap for the container, a stem, and a swab. The swab is immersed in the sticky liquid, and wiped round the rim of the drinking container. When desired, the drinking container is then inverted and the rim pressed into the granulated flavoring material to coat the rim with the granulated flavoring material. The drinking container may then be placed upright and filled with a liquid drink. The applicator may also be used to apply a flavoring to an inside edge of the drinking container to directly add flavor to a drink.

Abstract: The subject invention is directed to a rack for supporting at least one article during a vacuum impregnation process with the article having treated and untreated surfaces. The rack includes a metallic body defining at least one nest for accommodating the article, the nest being configured to support the article under vacuum impregnation conditions. Also, non-metallic bearing surfaces are disposed on portions of the nest. The bearing surfaces are configured to contiguously contact the treated surfaces of the article during the vacuum impregnation process with contiguous contact between the treated surfaces of the article and the metallic body being avoided. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a metallic rack may be utilized which avoids damage to the treated surfaces of an article undergoing vacuum impregnation.

Abstract: A coating machine is capable of reducing VOC and CO2 by atomizing a paint to increase depositing efficiency without lowering production efficiency and the rotary atomizing head of the coating machine. The coating machine includes the rotary atomizing head in which a paint chamber receiving the supply of paint is formed on the rear side thereof. A plurality of rims formed in a roughly truncated conical shape for extending the paint flowing out of the paint chamber by a centrifugal force and atomizing the paint at the tip thereof are fitted in the rotary atomizing head overlappingly at specific clearances. The clearances are opened to the peripheral surface part of the paint chamber. Accordingly, VOC and CO2 can be reduced by reducing the total jetted amount of paint to enable the atomization of the paint at low rotating speeds so as the increase the deposit efficiency.
