Abstract: A cleaning glove includes a waterproof glove body having a front surface, including a palm portion, and multiple finger stalls cooperatively joined together to fit a wearer's hand. A water absorbent material is bonded onto a front surface of at least one finger stall. Preferably, the water absorbent material is bonded onto the front surface of each finger stall, as well as the palm portion of the glove body. An abrasive type scouring material is bonded onto the front surface so as to be adjacent to the water absorbent material, typically substantially surrounding the periphery of the water absorbent material.

Abstract: A toothbrush includes a head having a bristle carrying surface formed from a thin resilient flexible dome shaped membrane. An air space is located between the base of the head and the membrane so that the membrane is capable of flexing to alter its original shape during use of the toothbrush and then recover to the original shape randomly during use. In a further practice of the invention the head and/or handle have elastomeric portions at least partially surrounding an open area. These portions are readily deflectable under pressure during use to improve handling of the toothbrush and orientation of the cleaning elements. Alternatively the toothbrush includes a longitudinal hinge collinear with the longitudinal axis of the toothbrush head so as to separate the head into a pair of side by side longitudinal sections, each of which has outwardly extending cleaning elements.

Abstract: A toothbrush with a safety device includes a brush body and an annular spacer. The brush body includes a bristle portion with a plurality of bristles and a handle portion contiguous to the bristle portion. The annular spacer is flared and includes a smaller end and larger end having a diameter greater than that of the smaller end. The smaller end of the spacer is tightly mounted around the handle portion below the bristle portion. The annular spacer avoids the toothbrush from being swallowed and prevents spit and bubbles generated during brushing from coming into contact with a user's hand.

Abstract: A quick release detachable brush includes a disk having a first side and a second side. The disk has at least one brush attached to the first or the second side or both. The center of the disk has an aperture. A shaft is provided with an elongated portion and a head that is complimentary to the aperture in the disk. Abstract: A spinning bristled roller assembly for the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner or other carpet cleaning apparatus. The roller assembly includes three bearings protected by a comprehensive thread guard system. The three bearing system, in combination with the structure of the tubular roller body and bearing housing provides an assembly having inherently improved balance characteristics that eliminate the prior need for dynamic balancing to ensure vibration-free operation.

Abstract: Wet and dry wipes comprising additives for removing allergens from surfaces are disclosed. The wipe substrate comprises an additive capable and binding the allergen onto the substrate such that the allergen can be removed from the surface. Various allergens including animal and pet dander can be removed from numerous surfaces utilizing the wipes of the present invention. In some embodiments of the invention, the allergenicity of the allergen is also reduced. Suitable additives for immobilization onto the wipe substrate include lectins, proteases, and enzyme inhibitors.

Abstract: An apparatus for applying a liquid to a surface in a pattern includes a rollable core with first and second sections adjacent to each other and each having a length and a circumference. A first liquid applicator includes a material for holding and applying a liquid to a surface and is attached to the first section of the core. A second liquid applicator includes a material for holding and applying a liquid to a surface and is attached to the second section of the core. The first liquid applicator material and/or the second liquid applicator material covers a portion of its respective section's circumference that is less than the entire circumference of the section, and the first and second liquid applicators are arranged on the core so as to produce a consecutively repeating non-random pattern when the first and second liquid applicators are placed in contact with and rolled along a surface.

Abstract: A method and a drywall tool for making flat and even joints for the construction industry are disclosed. This innovative hand tool for making flat even joints includes a central section that is a cut out notch allowing for an extruded amount of drywall compound that produces a sufficient width and height to be placed over the drywall tape within the drywall recessed or butt joints. Once this cures, a simple fill in step using a standard towel allows these process steps to be accomplished by an unskilled worker, while producing flat and even joints, requiring less time, and dust.

Abstract: A hand-held portable vacuum having a filter indicator that is coupled to an outlet housing and in fluid communication with a portion of the outlet housing between a fan inlet and an intake. The filter indicator includes a pressure differential indicator that is configured to indicate a pressure differential between air in the portion of the outlet housing and atmospheric air pressure. The filter indicator is employed to indicate to the user of the hand-held vacuum that replacement and/or cleaning of the filter is required. The vacuum may also be used in a blower mode with a set of inflator nozzles to permit a user to inflate an article.

The second end of the flexible hose is connected to handle portion, and the tubular wand is slidably mounted in the handle portion so as to be movable between a first position in which the tubular wand extends beyond the handle portion inside the flexible hose and a second position in which the tubular wand extends beyond the handle portion away from the flexible hose.

Abstract: A hinge for folding container comprises an inner hinge, an outer hinge and a locking device for locking the inner and outer hinge. Wherein, the inner hinge and the outer hinge are pivotally connected by a pivot pin, the outer hinge comprises at least two outer hinge plates provided in parallel, and the inner hinge comprises at least two inner hinge plates provided in parallel. Compared with the prior art, without changing the standard operating hole, the hinge for folding container disclosed by the present invention can widen the transverse width of the inner hinge, and so that the rigidity of the inner hinge is effectively enhanced. Therefore, the hinge according to the present invention can be applied to any types of folding container, especially the folding container mounted with an independent corner post.

To achieve guiding of the spectacle earpiece largely without play, it is suggested that the centering provided between the stop face (8, 9) of the one hinge part (5) and the front side of the hinge housing (1) comprise at least one centering groove (10) running around the circumference of the hinge axis (7) and a centering projection (11) engaging in this centering groove (10) at least in the stretched position of the hinge parts (4, 5).

Abstract: This is an improved hinge device with unique adjustable features. Particularly this hinge device is used to aid in the adjustment and fitting of existing doors in buildings and in the initial installation of doors into buildings and may be incorporated in combination with other types of door hinge devices where easy adjustment for fit is desired or required. The preferred embodiment is comprised of a simple adjustable top and bottom hinge assemblies with unique connection features and a special middle adjustable hinge 33 with unique adjustable features for vertical and rotational alignment.

Abstract: A hinge covering system designed to protect an operable door hinge from paint spray, paint splatters, or any other coating that may be applied to the surface of a door and/or frame. The hinge covering system comprises a plurality of preformed tape pieces. The tape pieces having been preformed to match areas of the door hinge so as to prevent excessive overlap covering the door or frame, yet adequately protect the door hinge. Each of the preformed tape pieces are designed to adhere to and thereby protect different areas of the door hinge. Specifically, the hinge covering system is comprised of tape pieces pre-measured to fit the exposed areas of the hinge straps, the hinge barrel, and the top and bottom of the hinge pin. At least one of the tape pieces is formed so as to protect the barrel portion of the door hinge without causing friction or adhesion to the barrel portion thus allowing for un-obscured operation of the door with the hinge covering system fully installed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a door handle for a refrigerator. In the present invention, a decoration 40 is installed in a seating channel 36 provided in a handle bar 30. The seating channel 36 with the decoration 40 installed therein is shielded by a transparent or translucent handle cover 42. Cover end coupling pieces 45 are provided at both ends of the handle cover 42 and coupled with coupling ribs of a handle bar body 31 of the handle bar 30 or a cover base 34. The cover end coupling pieces 45 protrude and extend from both ends of the handle cover 42 to be perpendicular to other portions. A luminous body or jewel may be used as the decoration 40. With the door handle of the present invention constructed as above, the aesthetic sense of the door handle is improved to meet various consumers' demands for design, and the handle bar 30 becomes more firm to enhance the reliability of the door handle.

In order to improve the production of the can-less fibre sliver package, the speed of the receiving support surface with the sliver package is alterable substantially on a reversal path such that a gradual braking to speed value zero to the speed of the back and forth movement are effected.

When the clipping portion is engaged with the receiving portion, the fixing plane presses against the panel for fixing the panel to the casing.

Abstract: High capacitance value capacitors are formed using bimetal foils of an aluminum layer attached to a copper layer. The copper side of a bimetallic copper/aluminum foil or a monometallic aluminum foil is temporarily protected using aluminum or other materials, to form a sandwich. The exposed aluminum is treated to increase the surface area of the aluminum by at least one order of magnitude, while not attacking any portion of the protected metal. When the sandwich is separated, the treated bimetal foil is formed into a capacitor, where the copper layer is one electrode of the capacitor and the treated aluminum layer is in intimate contact with a dielectric layer of the capacitor.

The piston/cylinder unit and the lock arms having complimentary tapered surfaces arranged to coact in urging the lock arms inwardly into their seated positions in response to the abutment of the piston/cylinder unit with the lock arms.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to surface roughening methods in which a cutting tool having a radial cutting blade with first and second cutting edges is fed along a longitudinal axis of an article while rotating the cutting tool about the axis. The first cutting edge forms a first machined pattern of peaks and valleys on a surface of the article, and the second cutting edge removes at least a portion of the peaks to form roughened fracture surfaces in a second machined pattern defining an arrangement of grooves, corresponding to the valleys, separated by lands, corresponding to the roughened fracture surfaces. The disclosure also provides cutting tools useful in practicing the surface roughening methods. The disclosure further describes cylindrical articles having interior or exterior surfaces roughened using the methods. The methods, cutting tools and articles have applications including fabrication of cylinder blocks for internal combustion engines.

The insertion instrument is removed from the stator core, and the stator core is installed into one of the aforementioned motors or generators.

The method comprises the steps of : providing a first tube like element, wherein said first tube like element has an inner diameter that corresponds to an outer diameter of said rotor, providing a second tube like element, wherein said second tube like element has an inner diameter that is larger than an outer diameter of said first tube like element, inserting said first tube like element into said second tube like element, in order to create a hollow space between them, inserting a number of magnet elements into said hollow space, and inserting said rotor into said first tube like element, whereupon said magnet elements are in a tight fit arrangement between said first tube like element and said second tube like element.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a magnetic write head for perpendicular magnetic recording. The method includes the formation of a write pole over a substrate. A non-magnetic side gap layer is deposited and an ion milling is used to remove a portion of the substrate to lower the floor of the substrate. A sacrificial fill layer can then be deposited. A chemical mechanical polishing process can be used to remove the mask structure remaining as a remnant of the formation of the write pole, and then the sacrificial fill layer can be removed. A non-magnetic, electrically conductive material can be deposited to form a trailing gap, and a magnetic material can then be deposited to form a wrap around trailing shield.
