Abstract: In CTEW process, U.S. Pat. No. 6,127,643, a process of reducing the residual stress during welding process is described. In this process a material is deposited at the Trailing Edge of Weld (TEW) that absorbs the heat from the solidifying weld metal. This causes the directional solidification effect in the solidifying metal and reduces the heat entering into base metals. In effect microstructure is normalized, and heat affected zone in base metals is reduced. Improvements in the process are made by determining the volume of the solidifying metal, its heat content, and heat transfer area to base metals of the weld. The ratio of heat absorbed at the TEW to heat input to weld is a constant in a specific weld, determining the improvements.

The duct is defined by two opposite side walls which are joined along a connecting portion and comprises an inlet arranged in one of the side walls. A part of the container that comprises the inlet is clamped between an abutment and a gas module which is axially movable towards the abutment. Clamping occurs in such a manner that one off the two side walls included in the duct is allowed, in response to a gas flow supplied from the gas module and entering the duct through said inlet, to bulge to form a free passage into the duct for filling the same with gas. After completion of the gas filling, the duct is sealed. The invention also relates to a container blank having a duct which is specially developed for the method and the device.

The roller is advanced downward in predetermined increments by a pawl drive mechanism located in the drive compartment and coupled to the roller by a mounting bracket extending through travel slots in the partition. The pawl drive mechanism is actuated by an operating lever pivotally mounted on the housing.

Abstract: Provided is a liquid dispensing package for a container adapted to contain a liquid that includes a hand operated pump coupled to an actuator, a liquid distribution subsystem in fluid communication with a discharge tube from the pump, wherein depression of the actuator causes liquid to travel through the discharge tube to the actuator top surface. Various liquid distribution pathways from the container to the actuator top surface are utilized. The dispensing package further includes a gravity-flow liquid drain-back subsystem that provides for liquid on the actuator top surface to flow to the container. Various liquid drain-back pathways from the actuator top surface to the container are utilized. The gravity-flow liquid drain-back pathway utilized is distinct from the liquid distribution pathway utilized in the dispensing package.

Abstract: A mobile beverage dispensing unit includes a replaceable syrup module, a replaceable liquid module, and a replaceable mixing module. The replaceable mixing module creates a beverage by mixing liquid that is dispensed from the replaceable liquid module and syrup that is contained in the replaceable syrup module to create a beverage. The mobile beverage dispensing unit may contain a replaceable dispensing module that dispenses the beverage that is formed in the replaceable mixing module. A plumbing module may connect the replaceable liquid module and the replaceable syrup module to the replaceable mixing module and may also connect the replaceable mixing module to the replaceable dispensing unit. A user may cause the beverage to be dispensed from the replaceable dispensing module by operating a dispensing mechanism that controls the flow of the beverage.

Abstract: A trigger operated fluid delivery system for dispensing two different fluids is disclosed. The fluid delivery system includes a first container having a first primary fluid, a fluid inlet conduit in fluid communication with the first container, and a pump for drawing the first fluid through the fluid inlet conduit and into a pump chamber. A fluid discharge conduit is located downstream of the pump chamber. The fluid discharge conduit is in fluid communication with the pump chamber and a discharge orifice. The pump discharges the first fluid from the pump chamber into the fluid discharge conduit. The fluid delivery system also includes a second container having a second fluid, and means for delivering the second fluid into the fluid discharge conduit. The second fluid mixes with the first fluid when the first fluid is discharged into the fluid discharge conduit such that a mixture of the first fluid and the second fluid is discharged through the discharge orifice.

Abstract: The dispensing device for single use includes a multicomponent cartridge (1), a mixer (8) having a mixer housing (9), as well as closure means for closing the outlets (4, 5) of the multicomponent cartridge. These closure means are connected to the mixer housing and comprise a respective closure stopper (13, 14) for each outlet that is insertable in an outlet (4, 5) of the multicomponent cartridge and is deformable such that upon rotation of the mixer housing relative to the cartridge, the closure stoppers (13, 14) are removed from the outlets (4, 5) of the multicomponent cartridge. Such an easily removable closure by means of deformable closure stoppers allows a very economical manufacture of dispensing devices that are intended to be used only once at it is required in medicine and in other fields.

Abstract: A beverage dispenser for use in combination with a container with a neck, having a dispenser body with a stabilizing base and a hub. The hub has an upwardly facing socket to accept the container's neck. A spigot assembly is mounted to the dispenser body and has a valve body and a spigot cap. A liquid passageway and an air relief passageway each separately connect the socket to the spigot assembly. A vent tube extends from the air relief passageway into the container, and an air valve is connected to the vent tube. Actuation of the spigot cap to an on position opens the liquid passageway as well as the air relief passageway to ambient air, permitting air within the container to equilibrate with ambient air via the interconnection of the vent tube, air relief passageway, and an air channel within the valve body, and permits beverage to exit the container and travel through the liquid passageway to be dispensed from the beverage dispenser at a dispensing port portion of the spigot assembly.
