Abstract: A foam panel concrete form is provided for using connectors which extend on each side of a joint in the foam panel concrete form and into complementary shaped openings in ties which hold two adjacent panels in a spaced and parallel relationship. The connector can pass into the openings in adjacent ties with little resistance in a first rotary position of the connector. After the connector is inserted a predetermined distance into the openings, then the connector is rotated to a second rotational position within the openings so that flanges of the connector are disposed on each side of respective ties and thereby hold adjacent ties and the adjacent foam panels in a substantially fixed relationship with respect to each other during a time when concrete is poured between the foam panels.

Abstract: A swing cylinder such as those used to offset an agricultural implement may experience larges forces as it reaches the ends of its travel. A cushioning system to mitigate these forces comprises a piston with wear rings engaged thereto. The wear rings block off a usual passageway for the hydraulic fluid to flow, and provide their own, much smaller passageway. The flow of hydraulic fluid is thereby restricted in the neighborhood of the extremes of piston travel. An additional aspect of the invention is that the wear rings are pushed out of their position blocking the passageway when hydraulic fluid pressure is applied to move the piston away from the extreme position, thereby completely removing the restriction to flow in that direction.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for reducing or eliminating airborne pollutants and generating a measure of usable energy from the same are provided. The Implo-Dynamics™ Treatment System includes several embodiments for mixing steam and emissions and injecting said mixture into a process fluid transmission network. The vacuum induced flow of the Working Fluid provides a means of propelling a Hydro Turbine unit for energy recovery purposes. The process includes reactant injection, gas transfer, filtration, remediation of pollutants, and delivers a novel means for carbon dioxide capture and sequestration. Furthermore, the detoxified process by-product solids represent a beneficial reutilization and/or recycling resource. The methods and systems of the present invention include a comprehensive arrangement of process configurations and components as well as a means of operation.

Abstract: An exhaust after-treatment system is disclosed. The system has a particulate trap disposed to remove particulate matter from an exhaust flow of an engine, an upstream temperature sensor disposed to measure a temperature of the exhaust flow upstream of the particulate trap, and a downstream temperature sensor disposed to measure a temperature of the exhaust flow downstream of the particulate trap. The system also has a controller in communication to receive from the upstream and downstream temperature sensors indications of the upstream and downstream temperatures. The controller is configured to compare the upstream and downstream temperatures, determine if the upstream and downstream temperature sensors are improperly swapped based on the comparison, and take a precaution if it is determined that the upstream and downstream temperature sensors are improperly swapped.

Abstract: A system for treating exhaust gas from an engine is disclosed. The system may include a housing with a first longitudinal axis, an inlet port, and an outlet port. The housing may define a first flow path. A fluid treatment element may be arranged in the flow path. The system may also include a conduit defining a second longitudinal axis and forming a second flow path. The conduit may have first and second tubular portions generally aligned with the second longitudinal axis. The first tubular portion may have a first cross-section, and the second tubular portion may have a second cross-section. An inner diameter of the second cross-section may be less than an inner diameter of the first cross-section. The centerpoint of the first inner diameter may be offset from the centerpoint of the second inner diameter in a direction generally parallel to the first longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A device (1) is disclosed for generating gaseous ammonia formed by the hydrolysis of an aqueous solution of urea at elevated temperature and pressure and for feeding the gaseous ammonia into the exhaust gas of an IC engine as it flows through the exhaust system of the engine. The device (1) is placed in the exhaust system and has an inlet (2) for the exhaust gas and an outlet (3) for the exhaust gas so that the exhaust gas will flow through the device (1) during use. The aqueous solution of urea is contained in a reaction vessel located between the inlet (2) and the outlet (3) such that, in use, the vessel and therefore the urea solution are heated by heat exchange with the exhaust gas as it flows from the inlet (2) to the outlet (3).

Abstract: A device for treating exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine includes a reducing agent solution evaporator, a hydrolysis catalytic converter connected thereto for hydrolysis of urea to form ammonia and an SCR catalytic converter for selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides. The evaporator includes an evaporator unit providing a gaseous substance mixture including at least one reducing agent precursor and/or reducing agent. The evaporator unit evaporates an aqueous solution including at least one reducing agent precursor. The SCR catalytic converter is in an exhaust line, and the evaporator and the hydrolysis catalytic converter are outside of and can be connected to the exhaust line. A sufficiently large quantity of reducing agent for selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides in the SCR catalytic converter can be provided, while permitting a smaller volume of the hydrolysis catalytic converter than in the prior art, since it is not traversed by exhaust gas.

Abstract: A SOx trap catalyst, an oxidation catalyst, a particulate filter, an aqueous urea supply valve, and a NOx selective reduction catalyst are arranged in order from upstream to downstream in an engine exhaust passage. It is determined whether a discharge concentration of hydrogen sulfide H2S will become equal to or greater than a preset maximum concentration when SOx is released from the SOx trap catalyst. If it is estimated that the discharge concentration of the hydrogen sulfide H2S will become equal to or greater than the maximum concentration when SOx is released, an adsorbed ammonia amount adsorbed on the NOx selective reduction catalyst is reduced before SOx is released so that the discharge concentration of the hydrogen sulfide H2S is less than the maximum concentration when SOx is released.
