  • Patent number: 7753308
Abstract: A roll paper is received in a receiving area so as to have a horizontal rolling axis. In the vicinity of a lowest part of the receiving area, an inclined surface faces the receiving area. At a position being lower than the inclined surface, a rotation making member is placed to face the receiving area. In such arrangement, the inclined surface makes the roll paper be slid towards the lowest part of the receiving area when the inclined surface receives the roll paper that is out of the receiving area. In response to movement of the roll paper towards the lowest part of the receiving area, the rotation making member rotates the roll paper around the horizontal rolling axis towards a winding direction of the roll paper.

  • Patent number: 7753312
Abstract: A fiber reinforced strip is adhesively bonded to an outwardly facing surface of a reinforcing frame and to an inwardly facing outer skin surface. Such a strip position reduces crack propagation in a lightweight structure particularly in the outer skin adhesively bonded to the reinforcing frame through the strip. For this purpose the fiber reinforced strip is interposed between the outer skin and the frame and adhesively bonded to the outer skin and to the frame. The strip has reinforcing fibers extending in parallel to each other or the reinforcing fibers are woven into a fabric embedded in a synthetic adhesive bonding material. The embedding of the parallel fibers or of the fiber fabric in the bonding material is performed either prior to the bonding or during the bonding of the strip to the outer skin and to the reinforcing frame.

  • Patent number: 7753337
Abstract: In a fluid injection valve, a valve needle and a moving core are installed in the valve housing to be slidable in an axial direction. The moving core has a through hole in which the valve needle is slidably inserted. A stopper provided on the valve needle moves the valve needle integrally with the moving core when the moving core travels toward the fixed core with respect to the needle valve. An elastic member biases the valve needle away from the fixed core, and a helical spring biases the moving core toward the fixed core. A spring seat supports one axial end of the helical spring in both of the axial direction and a radial direction of the helical spring.

Abstract: A luer activated device includes an inlet adapted to receive a male luer, an outlet associable with a fluid flow system, and a flow path defined therebetween. The inlet receives a resealable valve element having an aperture adapted to receive the male luer. The valve element is adapted such that a male luer inserted into the aperture will open fluid flow through the inlet without causing a substantial change in fluid displacement.

  • Patent number: 7753340
Abstract: The invention provides a valve (1) for sterile transfer of fluids. The valve (1) comprises a housing (5) having first and second open ends (2, 3) and a passageway (4) extending between the ends (2, 3). The first end (2) has a flange (54) for coupling the housing (5) about an opening (205) of an external conduit (201) and a seal blocking an open area of the first end (2). The seal is placed in register with the opening (205) of the external conduit (201). The valve (1) has a piston (9) movably disposed within the housing (5) so as to interrupt the seal and to permit fluid to pass along the passageway (4). A mating surface (215) of the flange (54) and the seal form a sterilizable surface. The seal is formed between a plastic plug (18) movable by the piston (9) and a sharp plastics rim (15) which encompasses the open area of a first end (16) of the housing (5).

  • Patent number: 7753343
Abstract: A retractable load support system for effectively lifting a load in a controlled manner. The retractable load support system includes a frame, a gerotor attached to a main shaft within said frame, a first spool attached to the gerotor, a biasing device connected to the first spool applying a biasing force to the first spool and an elongated member attached to the first spool. The main shaft is rotatably supported within the frame by a one way bearing allowing the main shaft to rotate when the elongated member is drawn downwardly to reduce the resistance of the gerotor. The main shaft is supported substantially stationary within the frame by the one way bearing preventing the main shaft from rotating when the elongated member is drawn upwardly onto the first spool thereby lifting the load in a controlled manner.

Abstract: A freestanding fence constructed of square tubing and a few connectors. The fence is supported on footed x-shaped posts that sit on top of the ground. A horizontal member extends between adjacent x-shaped posts and a footed vertical support member is provided on each horizontal member approximately midway between the adjacent x-shaped posts. Several fence wires extend horizontally and connect to adjacent x-shaped posts along the length of the fence via electrical insulators and non-conductive fasteners so that the fence can be electrified. The horizontal members attach to the posts by means of couplings that allow for both vertical and horizontal adjustment. The fence is constructed of easily transported and assembled pieces that can be disassembled, moved, and then reassembled as often as needed.

  • Patent number: 7753348
Abstract: A tray assembly is provided for improved gas/liquid contact when used in a large chemical process tower, resulting in better performance. Each tray assembly has two levels of tray decks and associated downcomers. Tray decks provide gas/liquid contact for mass transfer and the downcomers are required to clarify the liquid before entering the tray below. A novel downcomer configuration is provided for use in multipass trays. The shape of downcomer bottom chord is designed to allow for liquid to travel across any part of each tray deck at a similar distance between the inlet and the outlet weir. As a result, liquid on the tray deck travels in plug flow pattern. Benefits include a higher Murphree tray efficiency due to minimum liquid back-mixing, as well as minimum local entrainment due to uniform froth height.
