Abstract: A data disc protector and a method for using same to protect data discs stored in data disc storage cases is disclosed. Embodiments of the data disc protector comprise a protective sheet of material sized to fit between a data disc and a back cover of a data disc storage case and adapted to form a barrier between the back cover and the data disc when sandwiched between a data disc and the back cover. The data disc protector forms a physical barrier inhibiting the transfer of airborne hydrocarbons emitted by plastics in the storage case to the disc and preventing the data disc from contacting the back cover during storage. Embodiments of the data disc protector are made of a material that traps hydrocarbons. Embodiments of the data disc protector are provided with a central aperture adapted to allow installation on a hub in the storage case.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a cover-cooler combination for a golf bag which allows for maintaining perishable items such as beverage or food or both at temperatures above or below room temperature for a sufficient period of time to ensure enjoyment of the item held in the cover-cooler device while also continuing to provide traditional protection for the golf clubs in a golf bag. The cover-cooler combination may also include added features such as wireless device holders, pocket-like holders for keys, writing utensils, golf accessories including additional golf balls and tees, etc. to enhance a golfer's golfing experience by adding convenience.

Abstract: An element dispensing package suitable for dispensing adhesive strips or bandages. Each element is contained within an envelope formed by opposed upper and lower sheets. The lower sheet has a release liner secured thereto to protect the element while it is within the dispenser. The element is releasably secured to a first tab and is separated from the package when the envelope is opened. The first tab has one or more gripping means to facilitate dispensing of the element contained within the package. Additionally, the upper sheet and the lower sheet have optional gripping means (e.g., a second tab) to facilitate dispensing of the element contained within the package.

Abstract: A measuring cup being nestable within another measuring cup is provided. Each nestable measuring cups includes a cup portion and a handle extending from the cup portion. The handle of one measuring cup is receivable within a channel formed in the handle of the other measuring cup. The measuring cups can be sized to receive different volumes of material, and smaller measuring cups can be disposed within the larger measuring cups in a stacked, nestable manner.

Abstract: A light-weight capsule having internal components comprised of sample containers with living organisms in solid and liquid form, inner carrier, multiple seals is disclosed to protect the samples contained within and to withstand an impact of up to 4000 G in outer space or Earth applications being subject to extreme conditions of varying radiation, temperature, pressure, and shock. The present capsule provides a compact and durable design with features for reducing size, mass and weight while increasing strength, structural integrity, and sealing strength to protect the samples contained interiorly and to withstand extreme conditions for travel in deep space or inhospitable places on Earth.

Abstract: In order to produce a packaging for a sink which has particularly good absorption properties and a low rate of transportation damage there is proposed a packaging for a sink which comprises at least one supporting body that is formed at least partly from a foamed plastic material and comprises at least one seating element incorporating a seating channel for an edge section of the sink, and an outer packaging whose interior accommodates the sink and the at least one supporting body, wherein the at least one supporting body extends over substantially the entire internal height of the interior of the outer packaging.

The shape of the upper and lower impact-absorbing sections is rectangular parallelepiped shape.

Abstract: A continuous flotation process and apparatus for iron-containing sulphides in ores and concentrates of ores are disclosed. The process includes adjusting the pH of an aqueous pulp of the ores or concentrates of the ores to be in the range of 6.5-8.5 and thereafter adding a reducing agent to modify an iron hydroxide film on the surface of iron-containing sulphides in the ores or ore concentrates to enable adsorption of a collector onto iron-containing sulphides. The process also includes adding the collector to the pulp prior to, during, or after adding the reducing agent. The process also includes aerating the pulp to increase the pulp potential to a level sufficient to allow collector adsorption onto the iron-containing sulphides and thereafter bubbling gas through the pulp and subjecting the aqueous pulp to froth flotation to produce a froth containing said sulphide containing minerals.

Abstract: A liquid extraction unit for extracting liquid from an aqueous material is described. The unit includes a filter that is configured to allow passage of the liquid and prevent passage of the aqueous material. The unit also includes a first vacuum that is configured to extract air from the extraction unit. The unit further includes a second vacuum that is configured to pull the liquid through the filter. The first vacuum and the second vacuum are located after the filter.

Abstract: A weir assembly for use with a mixer-settler for liquid-liquid extraction includes in one embodiment an organic weir having an inlet opening below the free surface of the organic phase liquid and a vertically-adjustable front wall allowing adjustments in the position and/or height of the inlet opening. The organic weir can also feature an angled bottom coupled to a lip segment, an incline plate in the interior of the weir, and a front wall that is angled with respect to incoming fluid flow. In another embodiment the weir assembly can independently or additionally include an aqueous weir with a labyrinth section. The aqueous weir can optionally include an adjustable lip hingedly coupled to the top of the final partition in the labyrinth section.

A single large rectangular merchandise display shelving or two separate merchandise display shelving may be mounted to the front panel with S-shaped hooks mounted to open mounting slots formed at the top edge and at the horizontal fold line of the front panel. A plurality of separate merchandise display trays with upper L-shaped tabs may also be mounted to the front panel with a plurality of vertical mounting slots formed along its side edges. The display stand is self-erectable with the provision of an elastic cord mounted between a brace panel and the rear panel within the stand.

Then rotating the plug (13) allows the tabs (45) to pass over the ribs (36) and into opposed notches (35).

Abstract: An oral medicine dispenser for administering liquid medicine to a child includes: a cup having a cap and nozzle with a medicine compartment located therein. When a child sucks the nozzle, the medicine flows from the medicine container into the nozzle. The nozzle has two separate chambers. One chamber of the nozzle delivers the medicine from the medicine compartment to the back of the child's mouth. The other chamber delivers a fluid such as juice from the cup to the front of the child's mouth so as to taste more appealing to the child.

Abstract: A torsion spring includes a spring body wound by a helical wire, a first arm extending tangently from an end of the spring body, and a second arm extending from the other end of the spring body. The first arm includes sequentially a first portion extending from the spring body, a curved second portion bent toward a first direction from the first portion, and a curved third portion bent toward a different second direction from the second portion. A torsion spring assembly and a releasable casing using the torsion spring are also disclosed.

Abstract: A case body is provided with a cover which opens from and closes against the case body. The cover includes a hinge boss rotatably attached to the case body through a hinge pin. On the opposite side of the hinge pin is provided a hook mechanism with which the cover is engaged with the case body to form a closed state. A pressure member contacts and presses to the hinge boss to reduce the rotation speed of the hinge boss. A radius reduction portion is formed so that the outer dimension of the hinge boss is reduced gradually as the cover is getting closer to its full-opened position in order to weaken a frictional contact function with the pressure member.

Abstract: A counter is disclosed for use with a medication storing and dispensing cassette. The counter is comprised of a loader for receiving a cassette, a sensor for sensing whether a cassette is in the loader, means for moving the loader into an operative position, a vacuum unit for applying a vacuum to the cassette, a drive unit for driving a driven portion of the cassette and a counter for counting medication within a portion of the cassette. Methods of operating the counter are also disclosed.

Abstract: A beverage dispenser has a faucet with a spout, a fitting for connection to a beverage supply, and a lever operated valve. A servo motor, coupled to the lever, operates the faucet and proportionally controls the flow of the beverage. That proportional flow control manages the amount of beverage foaming. A flow sensor has a magnetic turbine within the faucet and a Hall effect element that magnetically senses turbine motion and produces a signal indicating an amount of beverage flow. A keypad enables service personnel to designate various portions of the beverage to automatically fill serving containers of different sizes. A control circuit responds to activation of the keypad and to the flow sensor by operating the servo motor to dispense the related quantity of the beverage.

The elevator mechanism changes a relative vertical displacement between the dispense outlet and the outlet port, such that the fluid is dispensed when the dispense outlet is lower than the outlet port, and not dispensed when the dispense outlet is higher than the outlet port.

The first closure member is in the form of a fluid discharge assembly which includes a selectively removable valve body mounted for movement between an open position to permit flow of liquid from the enclosure and a closed position to prevent flow of liquid through the fluid discharge assembly. In addition, the closure includes a cap member mountable to a container, and the cap member defines a product outlet passage. The valve body is disposed for movement within the outlet passage between an open position to permit flow of product through the passage from said container and a closed position to prevent flow of product through the passage. The valve body is selectively removable from the outlet passage.

Abstract: The invention generally relates to a foot activated dispenser and more particularly to a foot activated dispenser for dispensing a liquid product such as a skin care product (i.e. hand soap, hand sanitizer, surgical scrub, lotion, etc.). More specifically, the foot activated dispenser includes a bladder connected to tubing that is connected to a piston pump. The piston pump is located within a shroud that is removably attached to a wall bracket. The wall bracket includes a bottle retainer for holding a bottle having a pump.

Abstract: Apparatus for storing water, especially purified water, for use in a beverage dispenser is provided with a microbiological agent to kill or deter microbiological growth and maintain the quality of the water. The agent is provided in a physical form to promote contact with the water and may be renewable to maintain effectiveness of the agent over a period of time. In one arrangement, the agent is contained in a cartridge 92 arranged in a re-circulation loop 89 through which the water in a reservoir 80 is passed and returned to the reservoir 80. The cartridge 92 and/or a carrier for the agent within the cartridge 92 may be replaceable to renew the agent. The agent may also be provided within the reservoir 80 and various arrangements for this are also disclosed.

Abstract: A pressurized water container for use with a drinking water purification system includes a housing having a top opening and lower first and second valves; a sealing assembly releasably mounted on the opening of the housing; a flexible upper water chamber including a top opening in communication with the opening of the housing; a lower pressure chamber having a rigid top surface fixedly secured to an inner surface of the housing wherein pressurized air is adapted to feed into the pressure chamber through the second valve for storage; an air chamber between the water chamber and the pressure chamber; and a tube interconnecting the first valve and a bottom surface of the air chamber, the tube having a port in communication with the pressure chamber, and a hand wheel for either opening or closing the port. Replacement of the water chamber is made easy by detaching the sealing assembly.

The loop may be sized to receive a user's finger or attachment hardware such as a clip, hook or strap extending through the loop. The flip cap includes a plug seal that is configured to engage and seal with a top edge of the spout when the cap is moved to the closed position.

The hanger has at least four stationary article gripping members and four mobile article gripping members which are fastenable to respective ones of the stationary gripping members. Article-supporting fingers of the stationary gripping members extend horizontally away from the hanger body, two in one direction and two in another. The stationary gripping members are arranged in pairs, with one member in a pair extending in one direction, and the other member of the pair extending in an opposite direction. In one embodiment, a shared structural plate makes up a portion of the “C” channel for each gripping member in the pair.

A triggering element moves from a ready position to an actuation position causing an upper die to pick up a staple at an outlet of the staple magazine, to bend the staple feet inwards, and to fold, on an anvil engaging between the staple feet, the ends of a staple cross bar so as to form staple legs. A flat, spring-loaded tongue ejector element extends beneath the anvil. The ejector element is displaced against its direction of transport when the triggering element is moved from a readiness position into the actuation position, and is displaced in its direction of transport when the triggering element returns to the ready position so as to push the applied staple from the anvil.
