Abstract: Disclosed is a spinneret for preparing island-in-the-sea yarns, wherein island ingredient supply channels are partitioned into a plurality of groups in a discharge portion. The island-in-the-sea yarns prepared using the spinneret can prevent aggregation of island portions in the center thereof, although the number of island portions is 500 or more. Accordingly, island-in-the-sea yarns are considerably advantageous for the preparation of microfibers, since 500 or more island portions can be disposed in one island-in-the-sea yarn and fineness of island portions can thus be reduced. In addition, the island-in-the-sea yarns have an advantage of considerably reduced production costs, since 500 or more microfibers can be produced from one island-in-the-sea yarn. Furthermore, the island-in-the-sea yarns render a specific color according to the ratio of sea portions to island portions and diameter of fibers, without adding chromogenic compounds such as dyes, and are thus applicable to photochromic fibers.

Abstract: An exhaust gas recirculation device (50) of an internal combustion engine (1) includes an EGR passage (51) linking an exhaust passage (6) and an intake passage (3) of the internal combustion engine, an EGR valve (54) that blocks the EGR passage when closed, an EGR catalyst (52) that is provided between a connection portion with the exhaust passage (6) in the EGR passage and an installation position of the EGR valve and that purifies an exhaust gas flowing in the EGR passage. The exhaust gas recirculation device performs exhaust gas recirculation control by which the EGR valve is opened and the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust passage is recirculated to the intake passage via the EGR passage. The EGR catalyst is arranged in the vicinity of the connection portion (55) in the EGR passage.

Abstract: An internal combustion engine is provided that performs stoichiometric burn operation under control for providing a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio as basic control for an air-fuel ratio. A particulate filter (PM filter) is provided in an exhaust passage of the engine to trap particulate matter PM contained in exhaust gas. If it is judged that the PM filter will have excessively elevated temperature, fuel cut is prohibited during deceleration. Otherwise, before the prohibition of the fuel cut, the air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas is controlled so that the atmosphere of the PM filter is brought into an atmosphere slightly leaner than the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio.

Abstract: [Problems] Provided is a configuration in which a member is not interposed between exhaust gas and a partition wall of an engine coolant passage, and the exhaust gas is caused to directly collide with the partition wall of the engine coolant passage, thus raising the gas flow velocity in a heat exchange part, which enables further improving the exhaust heat recovery rate. [Means for Solving Problems] An engine exhaust gas heat recovery device (1) recovers heat from engine exhaust gas by performing heat exchange between the engine exhaust gas and engine coolant. A fan is driven by a solenoid controlled hydraulic motor which is supplied hydraulic fluid under pressure from a flow control valve to the motor in accordance with electrical signals that are supplied to the solenoid by a controller. The case drain circuit provides a pathway along which leakage fluid from the motor may be delivered to a fluid reservoir, preferably carried by the towing vehicle. During undesirable high pressure conditions in the case drain circuit, the pressure switch provides a corresponding high pressure signal to the controller that in turn cuts electrical current to the solenoid to cut the flow of hydraulic fluid to the motor.
