Abstract: The invention comprises a disposable beverage cup that comprises a ledge between the cup's rim and the grasping portion of the cup that is commonly held in the user's hand. The ledge, which comprises a curb, a horizontal plane, and one or more indentations, acts as a barrier between the user's hand and other objects, preventing a lid that has been press fit onto the cup's rim from being dislodged. In order to remove the lid, the user must insert a finger and/or thumb into the indentation(s) and press upward on the lid. The cup has a contour between the ledge and the grasping portion with ergonomic features to increase the user's comfort in handling the cup.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for temporarily fastening a food package to a support surface. A portable food package includes at least one compartment having a plurality of side walls, adapted to provide lateral support to contain food product within the food compartment, and a substantially planar bottom attached to the side walls. The bottom has an inner side disposed in the food compartment and an underside disposed outside of the food compartment. The portable food package also includes an adhesive strip affixed to the underside of the bottom, the adhesive strip adapted to temporarily adhere the bottom of the food package to a substantially horizontal support surface.

Abstract: A container having a body which defines a volume for storing a liquid. The body has a sidewall and the container also has a cover arranged to be mounted to the body. The sidewall and the cover are arranged such that, when the cover is mounted to the body, a space is defined between the cover and the sidewall in which an article may be stored. The container may be a bottle made from plastics material and the cover may be pivotally attached to the body so that it can be moved from a first position in which access to the space is permitted to a second position in which access to the space is restricted. The article may be a cleaning tool.

Abstract: A multiple draught beer dispensing system comprises one tap handle, one spigot, at least three fluid streams, and at least three pressurized tanks corresponding with the fluid streams. A plurality of individual electronic poppet control valves are used to control multiple fluid streams. When the tap handle selects a draft, the poppet valve is actuated by the tap dispenser handle to the beer stream selected so that beer can travel out of the spigot.

Abstract: A method of reducing spillage and residual liquid when pouring liquid includes temporarily deforming a liquid-carrying resilient container to press a buoyant member into a position sealing a fluid flow passage of the container, which is then inverted and the force is released to permit the member to float away from the passage such that liquid freely passes therethrough. When the fluid level is no longer sufficient to float the member away from the passage, an additional step prevents the ball from becoming or remaining seated in the sealing position so that residual liquid left in the container can be drained through the passage. Novel containers feature a ball-shaped member of larger size relative to the passage to ease unseating of the member therefrom for draining of residual liquid, and novel two-piece container constructions accommodate insertion of such larger balls prior to final assembly of the container.

Abstract: The invention provides methods and systems for selecting and blending conventional fuel components into fuel compositions using an input system and for supplying a selected fuel composition into a storage container. The methods and systems incorporate a mixer to mix at least one conventional petroleum-derived fuel component received from the conventional fuel component supply system with at least one second non-petroleum fuel component received from the second fuel component supply to form fuel compositions. The present invention provides for systems and methods of supplying selected blends of conventional petroleum fuel with a non-petroleum derived fuel to provide greater consumer accessibility for petroleum blended with alternative fuels.

Abstract: A product dispensing apparatus is described having a product meter and an distribution system. A sensor is provided along a product passage between the meter and the distribution system. The sensor has a plurality of receivers, each receiver only covering a small portion of the product passage whereby the resolution of the sensor is increased to be able to detect relatively small particles. For certain small particles or low rate application, the sensor counts individual particles to determine the application rate. For larger particles or high application rates, the sensor measures an output signal attenuation to determine the application rate. A controller then varies the meter drive to produce the desired application rate.

A mechanism for permitting and blocking the actuation of the spray actuator is also provided so that inadvertent operation of the actuator can be prevented.

Abstract: Trash receptacles are rarely cleaned. These containers can contain germs and disease in them in many situations. This liquid dispensing device will spray a liquid of choice with in the interior of the trash receptacle automatically every time it is emptied and replaced onto the support surface. These liquids may drastically reduce the amount of bacteria, germs, insects, and disease with in the container. This device will provide this sanitation service automatically. This liquid dispensing device may be attached to industrial dumpsters as well as to residential trash containers. This device does not require a power supply.

The dispensing pump head is comprised of an upper portion and a lower portion. The fragrance substance is within an internal area in the upper portion, the lower portion or both portions of the dispensing pump head. The lower portion has a structure for attaching the dispensing pump to the container. The upper portion of the dispensing pump head has a dispensing channel through the internal area that on one end extends into the lower portion of the pump head to the pump mechanism and at a second end is open to the exterior atmosphere. The internal area contains a fragrance substance. A peripheral wall of the upper portion and a peripheral wall of the lower portion have a space, and optionally at least one aperture that is in communication with the exterior of the dispensing pump. A population of the voids can be filled with a reaction product. The body is substantially free of a catalyst material. The construction comprises a first support member attached to the body by a first braze material. A second support member is attached to the body and the first support member by a second braze material. The construction may include a third support member attached to the body that is integral or separate from one of the other support members. The braze materials used to attached the support members can be the same or different, as can be the materials used to form the different support members.

Abstract: The present invention provides a joining method for metal members, including: preparing an Fe-based metal member of Fe-based material, and an Al-based metal member of Al-based material; providing a Zn-based brazing filler metal between the Fe-based metal member and the Al-based metal member; and joining the Fe-based metal member and the Al-based metal member, wherein the Zn-based brazing filler metal includes: 2.0 mass % or less of Al; and the balance of Zn and inevitable impurities, and in the joining, the Zn-based brazing filler metal is heated such that a liquid phase of the Zn-based brazing filler metal is generated, and in solidification of the Zn-based brazing filler metal in a condition of the liquid phase, Zn primary crystal or eutectic of Zn and Al is crystallized.
