Abstract: A mobile coiled tubing rig for the drilling and workover of wells is designed to have a control room for the coiled tubing rig positioned within a tank at the forward end of the rig during transport. The control room, stored in the empty tank during transit, is selectably elevated out of the tank to its working position during rig operation When the control room is elevated, the operator or operators of the coiled tubing rig can see the coiled tubing storage wheel and the coiled tubing injector.

Abstract: A new and distinct variety of rose with long lasting, novel soft pink flowers, and attractive foliage with good disease resistance. It exhibits uniform, upright to bushy growth with abundant flowers. The new variety propagates well from cuttings and by grafting. This new and distinct variety has shown to be uniform and stable in the resulting generations from asexual propagation.

Abstract: A new and distinct variety of rose plant is provided which forms in abundance on a substantially continuous basis attractive semi-double blossoms wherein the coloration is magenta red to light pink suffused with cream-white towards the center. The vegetation is vigorous and the growth habit is upright and climbing. Attractive ornamental medium green foliage having a semi-glossy aspect is formed. During observations to date the disease resistance has been excellent, particularly with respect to blackspot. The cold hardiness of the new variety also is excellent, particularly for a climbing rose. The new variety is particularly well suited for growing as distinctive ornamentation in parks, gardens, and residential settings. Instead of a climber, the plant can alternatively be trimmed and grown as a compact rose bush in the absence of support.

This radar detector includes a microprocessor; a circuit coupled to the microprocessor for detecting the incoming police radar signal; and a global positioning system receiver coupled to the microprocessor. Upon detection of an incoming radar signal, the radar detector can utilize the position, velocity, and/or heading data from the global positioning system receiver to determine whether to generate an alert.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an image processing technique, and in particular to a method for restoring a compressed image by using a hybrid motion compensation discrete cosine transform (hybrid MC/DCT) mechanism, including: a step of defining a smoothing functional having a smoothing degree of an image and reliability for an original image by pixels having an identical property in image block units; and a step of computing a restored image by performing a gradient operation on the smoothing functional in regard to the original image, thereby preventing the blocking artifacts and the ringing effects in regard to the pixels having an identical property in image blocks. In one embodiment, the method includes obtaining a pixel value in a current block and at least one adjacent pixel value according to a smoothing direction, and obtaining a smoothing value of the current image based on the obtained pixel value in the current block and the adjacent pixel value according to the smoothing direction.

Moreover, candidate pixels to be averaged with the pixel to be filtered is selected from the pixels of the selected mask to better maintain the details of the image, and a weight is applied to improve the calculation speed of the averaging operation. More particularly, the masks according to the present invention have longer tabs toward adjacent blocks at boundaries of the given block to remove the block and ring effect. In the method, a value of a pixel of an image is determined according to a filtering methodology.

The storage device enforces write recovery leading to a reassignment and re-write for the defective data block by the storage controller at a subsequent write opportunity with a usual write without verify command. The invention enables the storage device to identify, and re-discover the defect by automatically verifying the data written, and report an unrecovered write error to the storage controller on said write command, causing said write recovery to occur.

Abstract: The eye guard, while complying with ASTM F803-03, has been ergonometrically designed to comfortably fit on the user's face, and to provide openings for the eyes allowing clear vision while at the same time protecting the eyes from impacts from a lacrosse ball. The eye openings are completely open and have dimensions intended to preclude a lacrosse ball from passing therethrough. The upper edges of the eye openings are displaced rearwardly with respect to the lower edges a sufficient distance to preclude a lacrosse ball from striking the two edges simultaneously in a direction that could possibly cause an eye impact. That displacement is specifically devised to cause a lacrosse ball striking one or the other of the edges to be deflected away from the eyes of the player. The upper edge of the eye openings also defines the lower edge of a visor surface. That visor surface transitions from the openings to the rearward edge of the eye guard where it engages the face of the user above the eyes.

Abstract: A protective padding system is provided in which a padding member has one or more cavities formed therein. The padding member preferentially flexes at the cavities. An insert is adapted to selectively engage and fit into the cavity. The channels provide varying pressure on the body portion, a maximum pressure being set at a level sufficient for treating or preventing decubitus ulcer formation on the body portion. The channels are positioned based upon angiosome distribution in the portion of the body. The pressure relievers protect tissue on bony prominences from excess pressure.
