Abstract: To efficiently assemble or manufacture a belt by fastening a plurality of elements in a circular manner using a ring. A belt assembling device is adapted to assemble a belt by fastening a plurality of plate-like elements juxtaposed in a same orientation and in a circular manner using a ring. The belt assembling device includes a holding member. The holding member holds the ring to which the elements are attached sequentially, in a manner to keep a curvature radius of the ring partially larger than that of the remaining portion. Therefore, the portion of the ring at which the curvature radius is thus kept larger can be twisted and deformed easily so that the element can be attached to the ring at the portion.

Abstract: The purpose of the “Forearm Mount” is to allow the reciprocating saw, or sawzall, to be used with one hand. “The Forearm Mount” transfers the weight of the saw to the operators' whole arm so support and thus control of the saw becomes a function of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. The sawzall becomes an extension of the operators' whole arm. In many situations “The Forearm Mount” provides superior control of the saw, which allows for more accurate cutting and greater safety. Safely controlling the sawzall with one hand while freeing the other hand to hold on to a ladder or other support when working overhead or to steady a work piece like PVC pipe or other things that are not secure is the purpose of the invention. The one armed overhead cutting capability of “The Forearm Mount” allows the operator to move to one side and avoid getting the sawdust in the face.

Abstract: An articulated arm system can include an articulated measuring arm with a plurality of interconnected support arm segments. The arm segments can be moveable about a plurality of axes. A plurality of rotational angle sensors can mount on the arm and be configured to measure rotational position between the support arm segments. Additionally, a vibration detection device can attach to the arm near an end of the arm. The vibration detection device can be operatively connected to the sensors such that the sensors output a rotational position upon detection of a new vibration exceeding a threshold amplitude.

Abstract: This gauge for mounting a screw in a cage nut or in a nut (23), with the aim of assembling at least two parts (13, 15), comprises a shank (37) with a smooth section (39) having graduations (47) and with a threaded end (41), which are similar to those of said screw. A sleeve (49) is slidably mounted on said smooth section (39). The axial length of said sleeve (49) and the distribution of said graduations (47) are such that, when the shank (37) of said gauge is screwed as far as it will go into said cage nut or into said nut (23) and when said sleeve (49) is pressed against one (13) of said two parts (13, 15), the graduation indicated by said sleeve (49) on said smooth section (39) is representative of the distance separating the thread (43) of said cage nut or said nut (23) from the outer surface of the part (13) situated facing away from this cage nut or said nut (23).

Abstract: In one embodiment, a tape measure having a tape, housing, and an input, has an OLED strip overlaid on top of the tape. The housing contains a programmable controller and a rolled-up portion of the tape. A specified fraction of the length of the linear target is provided to the controller using the input. The tape may be extracted from the housing to generate an exposed portion of the tape corresponding to the total length of a linear target. The controller receives information indicative of the total length of the linear target. The controller controls the OLED strip to show, i.e., light up along the tape, a fractional portion corresponding to the specified fraction of the linear target.

Abstract: In a method for detaching a web threading tail from a moving surface in a fiber web machine, the web threading tail (12) is detached from a moving surface (23) by means of air that flows from a blow-off blow channel (19) included in a blade holder (14). A trailing blow (26) is directed to the web threading tail (12) using air that flows from a trailing blow channel (17) included in the blade holder (14). The blade holder (14) includes a flow surface (32), and the trailing blow (26) is blown to the same direction with or in a small angle relative to the flow surface (32). The invention also relates to a corresponding blade holder and a doctor apparatus for detaching a web threading tail from a moving surface in a fiber web machine.

Abstract: A substrate processing method dose not use or only use the least possible amount of an organic solvent, and can quickly and completely remove a liquid from a wet substrate surface without allowing the liquid to remain on the substrate surface. The substrate processing method for drying a substrate surface which is wet with a liquid, includes: removing the liquid from the substrate surface and sucking the liquid together with its surrounding gas into a gas/liquid suction nozzle, disposed opposite the substrate surface, while relatively moving the gas/liquid suction nozzle and the substrate parallel to each other; and blowing a dry gas from a dry gas supply nozzle, disposed opposite the substrate surface, toward that area of the substrate surface from which the liquid has been removed while relatively moving the dry gas supply nozzle and the substrate parallel to each other.

The perimeter element extends adjacent to a sidewall of the sole structure, and the central element is centrally-positioned. A gap may extend between the central element and the perimeter element. The gap may have an upper portion and a lower portion, with the upper portion being located closer to the sidewall than the lower portion. The perimeter element may also have a first compressibility and the central element may have a second compressibility, with the first compressibility being less than the second compressibility.
