Abstract: An article of protective clothing for use by a motorcyclist, or the like, wherein there is attached on the inside surface of the clothing, a knitted or woven material which is comprised of a material that is highly abrasion and/or tear and/or burst resistant and is secured to an inner-side of the clothing at one or more side seams of the garment. The abrasion resistant material is attached to an inner surface of the clothing by being sewn along at least one inside seam away from a waist portion of the clothing so as to limit the outward modification of an otherwise normal garment to a casual observer while still providing protection in the event the rider is caused to be sliding along the ground. By this means, the article of clothing is relatively indistinguishable from regular clothing.

Abstract: An ergonomically designed, inexpensive and portable napping chair/seat may allow the user to be comfortably supported throughout the body in a balanced reclining position close to the floor that may encourage sleep. The user's hands may be folded and may rest on the user's chest or stomach while using the nap seat. Unlike a bed, which is designed for several hours of sleep, the nap seat may have a slim armless design that can ensure quick naps. Users who fall into a deeper sleep and attempt to turn over may be awakened gently as their arms or legs fall off the nap seat. The device may be easily moved between locations due to its small size, foldability and light weight. The device may be made of “green” recycled material. The device may be covered with a removable cover that may be made of “green,” or recycled/sustainable material.

Abstract: A foot brace for use with a bed includes a rear wall configured to extend adjacent a footboard of the bed and a front wall configured to extend from generally adjacent one side of the bed to generally adjacent an opposed side of the bed. The foot brace includes at least two telescopic rods each extending from the front wall to the rear wall. The telescopic rods are each lockable at a first extension configuration that separates the front wall from the rear wall and a second extension configuration that separates the front wall from the rear wall such that the front and rear walls are separated by one distance when the telescopic rods are at the first extension configuration and another distance when the telescopic rods are at the second extension configuration. An adjustable fastener removably couples one of the rear wall and the front wall to the bed.

Abstract: A pressure dispersion system includes a pressure dispersion pad and a pressure dispersing mattress system for body support and sleep. The pressure dispersion pad and pressure dispersing mattress systems reduce pressure points from a supported body to less than approximately 32 mm Hg to reduce or eliminate capillary closing and a resultant reduction in pressure concentration and resultant discomfort and repositioning during sleep. Empirical design from human body pressure mapping is used to identify support zones for which components are selected and assembled in the pressure dispersion support systems for pressure dispersion and relief. In a pressure dispersion support system in the form of a mattress, multiple zones are defined by arrangement of different kinds of support materials, including foam tops such as memory foam or moderate to low density polyurethane, and secondary foam layers or foam base of relatively higher density polyurethane and latex.

Abstract: A healthy bed for actively supporting human spine curve mainly comprises a lower base, a mobilizing device inside the lower base, a height sensor, a control device, an inflating device, an upper mattress having an air cushion layer and a plurality of push rods wherein the control device is used for memorizing the spine curve of a person lying on the upper mattress. When a user lies on the upper mattress, the push rod is pressed to push the mobilizing device moving downward, the height sensor detects a moving distance of the mobilizing device for the control device to determine whether the user is the one whose spine curve is memorized, if so, then the inflating device is activated to inflate the air cushion layer to let the surface of the upper mattress meet the profile of the spine curve of the user.

Abstract: A washing machine that controls water supply modes of washing and rinsing operations and a control method thereof. For the washing operation, the wetting of the laundry is improved through the supply of water in unidirectional rotation in which the water is supplied while a washing tub and a pulsator are simultaneously rotated in one direction. For the rinsing operation, laundry is quickly separated from the washing tub, such that the laundry is sufficiently mixed with the water, through the supply of water in unidirectional rotation and the supply of water in alternating-direction rotation in which the water is supplied while only the pulsator is rotated in alternating directions, thereby achieving rinsing utilizing water supply time, and, in addition, turnover of the laundry is smoothly achieved such that washing residues present on the laundry are effectively removed from the laundry, thereby improving rinsing efficiency.
