Abstract: A method of forming and assembling at least two parts together that may be metal, ceramic, or a combination of metal and ceramic parts. Such parts may have different CTE. Individual parts that are formed and sintered from particles leave a network of interconnecting porosity in each sintered part. The separate parts are assembled together and then a fill material is infiltrated into the assembled using a method such as capillary action, gravity, and/or pressure. The assembly is then cured to yield a bonded and fully or near-fully dense part that has the desired physical and mechanical properties for the part's intended purpose. Structural strength may be added to the parts by the inclusion of fibrous materials.

Chips are simply fed to the top of the atmospheric vessel, and a chip level is established in the vessel. Treatment liquids are added to the vessel such that a total liquid volume (Z1+Z2) with a liquid level (LIQ LEV) is established under the chip level (CH LEV). Impregnation stage and subsequent cooking stages are implemented in the atmospheric vessel at successively increasing temperature and depths into the total liquid volume, thus preventing boiling in the stages and preferably reducing steam blow trough of the chip surface in the top of the vessel.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing serpentine fins for assembly between tubes in a heat exchanger core. The method includes providing a flat metal strip and forming in the strip, multiple rows of split louvers. Each row of split louvers has louvers formed in pairs of adjacent, spaced louver banks extending across the width of the strip. Each row includes ribs formed in the strip parallel to the louver openings and extending across the pair of louver banks. The metal strip has unformed portions extending across the strip width between rows of split louvers for forming folds across the width of the strip. After forming the rows of split louvers, pressure is applied to the strip to cause the flat strip to buckle along the unformed portions forming folds in the strip resulting in the serpentine fin. Preferably, the strip has ribs formed both in the center portion and along the edges.

Abstract: A fin tube type heat exchanger includes heat transfer fins spaced apart from each other along plate thickness directions and heat transfer tubes inserted into the heat transfer fins in directions substantially orthogonal to a gas current flow direction. Each heat transfer fin includes cut and raised parts lined up from upstream to downstream on both sides of each heat transfer tube. The cut and raised parts are inclined with respect to the gas current flow direction to guide gas current to a rear side of the heat transfer tubes. A height of each of the cut and raised parts increases gradually toward the downstream side. A value calculated by dividing an average height of each cut and raised part by a fin pitch is greater than 0.3 and less than 0.6. The fin pitch is a spacing between the heat transfer fins.

The thermally conductive body is fixed by being sandwiched between the fixing arm and the cooling plate. Thereby, the buckling device can be used in a thin electronic device to reduce its assembly and machining costs on a large scale.

The humidifier system includes an air path that is configured to accept air from a first HVAC duct and return air to a second HVAC duct. A damper is disposed in the air path to selectively substantially block the flow of air in the air path, or to substantially not block the flow of air in the air path. In some cases, the damper may be a motorized damper, and the humidifier system may include a controller that is configured to cause the motorized damper to not substantially block the flow of air in the air path during a call for humidifier operation, and to substantially block the flow of air in the air path after the call for humidifier operation ends.
