Abstract: A helmet attachment system is usable to attach a mandible or face or mouth guard. The helmet attachment system also comprises a pair of attachment bases, each arranged on a side of the helmet near to an ear covering of the helmet. The attachment bases each include a metal base plate covered by an attached body block. Each attachment base provides provisions for attaching opposite ends of a mandible to the bases. The metal base plate includes hooks for engaging an edge of the helmet. A pair of strap assemblies is provided, each strap assembly connected to one attachment base. The strap assemblies extend rearward and are connected to the back rail by a buckle member on the end of each strap assembly. The back rail includes a pair of buckle member-receiving slots. The straps assemblies and the hooks provided on the attachment bases secure the attachment bases to the helmet.

Abstract: Bulletproof vests, body armor, and other tactical vests with quick release buckle mechanisms are described along with methods of their use. The multi-point buckle mechanisms release upon rotating a shaft, allowing the vest panels and straps to fall cleanly to the ground without knocking the wearer off balance. Waist belt clips allow a wearer to put the vest on over his or her head without engaging the emergency release, or the multi-point buckle mechanism can release only the waist straps upon rotating the shaft in the opposite direction. A flap protects the rotatable quick release mechanism from inadvertent activation.

Abstract: A protective glove system featuring built-in adjustable straps to secure the digits of the wearer's hand in a manner similar to “buddy taping” of the fingers to restrain and support an injured finger and “thumb spica” taping to protect an injured thumb. Several variations of gloves featuring dual finger stalls with integral straps above and below the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joints of the wearer's fingers, and an integral thumb spica loop are disclosed which are appropriate for securing the digits of the wearer's hand to prevent re-injury and promote healing, or to prevent injury. Baseball fielding gloves having dual finger stalls compatible with the glove system are also disclosed, along with other features.

Abstract: A garment suitable for cold-weather use including an upper torso portion and a bottom-to-front wrap-around portion which is integral with the torso portion at a lower end thereof. The bottom-to-front wrap-around portion includes a right leg opening and a left leg opening. A first zipper half extends along the front length of the garment from an upper end to a lower end of the garment and is displaced from the centerline of the front of the garment. A second zipper half extends along a side edge of the bottom-to-front wrap-around portion. The bottom-to-front wrap-around portion is adapted to extend from between a user's legs up along the front of the garment and is zippered to the zipper half on the garment.

Abstract: A wearable garment is provided. The garment includes an outer shell, an inner lining, a pocket, a liquid-fillable bladder, a bladder opening and a tube. The outer shell has an interior surface. The inner lining is positioned adjacent at least a portion of the interior surface of the outer shell. The pocket is located between the outer shell and at least a portion of the inner lining. The liquid-fillable bladder is removably positioned in the pocket. The bladder opening is in the outer shell and permits the bladder to be removed from the pocket. The bladder opening also includes a closure to selectively seal the bladder opening. The tube extends from the bladder and through a tube opening such that a user can withdraw liquid from the bladder via the tube.

Abstract: A patient garment. The garment is configured to highlight the intercostal area of a patient during an echocardiographic examination. The garment comprises a front panel having a front top edge, a front bottom edge, a front left side and a front right side. The front panel has an access opening defined there through. The garment further comprise a back panel having a back top edge that is connected to the front top edge, a back bottom edge, a back left side and a back right side. The access opening is positioned on the front panel to expose an area of the patient's torso between a 3rd intercostal area and a 5th intercostal area of the patient's torso.

Abstract: A dress shirt collar support for a dress shirt is provided. The dress shirt collar support includes an open ring having two ends and two collar legs, one leg being adjacent to each end. Each collar leg is placed inside a pocket on the collar of a shirt and the position of the collar legs can be adjusted.

Abstract: A glove has a body, a side mirror pad and a side mirror. The body has a palm segment having a palm back surface and a wrist segment connected to the palm segment. The side mirror pad is connected to the palm back surface of the palm segment of the body and has a mirror face, a securing end and a connecting end. The securing end is connected to the palm back surface of the palm segment of the body. The connecting end is selectively connected detachably to the securing end and the palm back surface of the palm segment. The side mirror is mounted on the mirror face of the side mirror pad.

Abstract: The present invention is a hand covering such as a glove that is adapted to absorb and store an amount of liquid within an adsorbent layer incorporated into the glove. The liquid can be easily dispensed by certain movements of the hand such as squeezing or grasping. The glove design allows another, external layer purpose-engineered for particular applications to be either permanently or detachably attached on the exterior of the glove. The rubber used is a composite comprising 10-20% nitrile and the remaining 80-90% natural latex.

Abstract: A clip for holding articles and being mountable to headwear includes a first body member and second body member pivotally mounted thereto. The first and second body members include respective first and second mating elements. The second body member is movable between a closed position, wherein the first and second elements are mutually engaged and an open position wherein the first and second elements are disengaged thereby providing for the second body member to pivot away from the first body member. In the closed position, the first and second body members provide for holding articles therebetween. A bottom portion extends from the first body member is insertable within a slot formed in the headwear.

The helmet assembly includes a front rail that is substantially contiguous with side rails mounted to the helmet which extend rearward to be substantially contiguous with a back rail mounted on the helmet. Abstract: An efficient dual-use toilet that provides a simple, easy-to-use and reliable solution to the problem of wasted toilet flush water is disclosed. The improved toilet provides a two-compartment toilet bowl, wherein the main bowl is used for solid waste and a hydrophobic secondary bowl is used for liquid waste. When only the secondary bowl is used, the toilet does not require flushing. When the toilet is flushed for solid wastes, water simultaneously cleanses the secondary bowl. Importantly, the drain line for the secondary bowl is configured such that during the flush cycle air is prevented coming back through the sewer system and into the household. The system is fully automatic and provides a very easy-to-learn “flush and forget” solution for the user. The amount of water flushed to the sewer system is greatly reduced, and consequently so is the burden on fresh water supply systems as well as the energy cost in required to deliver water.

Abstract: A toilet has an electronic flush assembly operable in either a short or long flush sequence selectable by a user. The long flush sequence includes a pre-rinse cycle and a rinse cycle in which the a supply valve and a flush valve are both opened and closed twice, once each first during the pre-rinse cycle and again during a subsequent rinse cycle. The rim supply valve and the flush valve are opened during the pre-rinse and rinse cycles but are closed at the start and end of each cycle. An electronic control controls operation of the valves as well as water supply control components. Level sensors can also be included to provide feedback to the controller, for example, to prevent overflow conditions.

Abstract: Plumbing fixtures with a valve actuator for automatically controlling pivoting of a flush valve, and methods of calibrating movement of the flush valve, are disclosed. The motor of the valve actuator may be positioned between the bowl of the fixture and a leg of a trapway to provide compact assembly. A belt drive laterally extending along the trapway links the motor to the flush valve. The method of calibrating includes establishing stop points which are at positions of less resistance than hard stop positions.

A flexible cover element is supported by said cover element frame, wherein the flexible cover element is stretched proximate to said cover element frame. A collapsible upper vortex is formed within the cover element to prevent a quantity of precipitation from collecting on top of the cover element. A vertical movement control system is located partially within at least one of the support members and controls movement of the cover element frame.

Abstract: A cot is designed to be used positioned against the side of a parent bed. A folding leg arrangement enables the height of the cot sleeping base to be matched with the parent bed. The leg arrangement uses support struts and sliding connections to the cot support base to maintain its footprint at all heights. The end walls and side walls are all foldable relative to the sleeping base. The cot can be folded flat by folding the side walls onto the base and the end walls in on top of them. The leg arrangement can also fold flat. One side wall can be folded out to lie on the adjacent parent bed, bridging the gap. It can also be folded at half height to provide partial access when upright, or a shorter bridge when folded out.

Abstract: A crib bumper (1) having a bottom securing panel (14) that rests under a crib mattress (3) and fully separates the crib mattress from a crib (2), thereby securing the bottom of the crib bumper in place. A perimeter wall (19) of the crib bumper extends upward from the bottom securing panel between the mattress and the crib slats (10) and up the crib slats a predetermined distance, thereby preventing any spaces between the crib bumper and the mattress that a baby could become trapped in. The perimeter wall of the crib bumper is secured to the slats using securing straps (23, 24) and hook and loop fasteners. The strap are located on an outer surface of the perimeter wall, thereby making the securing straps inaccessible to a baby in the crib. Although the sidewall of the crib bumper may be made out of a padded cloth material, the sides are preferably made of a mesh material (28) that will allow airflow through the sides of the crib bumper into the crib.

Abstract: A bed bug resistant cover for a mattress includes a plurality of panels of fabric material connected by seams that are RF welded. The connected plurality of panels include a first opening for receiving the mattress and a second opening serving as a vent. A zipper assembly is cooperable with the panels of fabric material and RF welded to the opening to close the panels of fabric material over the mattress. A filter is RF welded to an inside surface of the panels of fabric material and covers the vent.

Abstract: A steerable ultra-low patient bed that incorporates a means for maintaining verticality of the caster stem at all height positions of the bed and a means for selectively locking the caster assemblies of the bed in a desired locking position. The means for selectively locking the caster assemblies may be actuated from either end of the bed using a central actuation mechanism. The bed according to the present invention has legs that are pivotally and translatably attached at their upper end to a frame of the bed and caster support members that are longitudinally aligned with the bed pivotally attached to the lower end of each leg. The caster support members each have a single caster assembly attached thereto. The means for maintaining verticality of the caster stem incorporates a constraint means that urges the caster support member in a direction of rotation opposite to that of the leg during adjustment of the height of the bed.

A pair of gloves and a soft case that holds the other components complete the embodiment. Other embodiments are presented that have different or additional accessories, or are customized to a specific vehicle model.

Abstract: A wire-stripping tool allowing the user to strip-off the outer insulation layer of a wire is disclosed. The wire-stripping tool comprises a first shaft and a second shaft. The first shaft comprises a first cone-shaped blade and a first handle. The second shaft is pivotally connected with the first shaft, and the second shaft comprises a second cone-shaped blade and a second handle. The second cone-shaped blade can be overlapped with the first cone-shaped blade to form a cutting blade; the first handle and the second handle allow the user to exert a force. The wire-stripping tool has an open-state and a closed-state: In an open-state, the wire can be inserted into the cutting blade; in a closed-state, the user can apply a force onto the first and the second handles, and then the cutting blade can cut off the outer insulation layer.

Abstract: The present invention is an attachment device that can be placed upon a tool, preferably a cable cutting tool, which replaces a hammer in an electrician's tool supply or eliminating the need for an electrician to carry a hammer around a job site. The attachable hammer head is made from a solid piece of metal in which there is flat hammer head with a set of flanges on the opposite side of the hammer head in which there is a channel between the flanges and one or more threaded holes within the flanges. The back blade of the wire cutters is placed within the channel and a set screw is in the one or more threaded holes. The set screws are tightened onto the blade affixing the solid mass of metal onto a wire cutter and allowing the user to efficiently use one tool for hammering wire cutting. The attachable hammer head is able to be removed as needed by the user.

Abstract: A multi-purpose tool, such as for use by truckers or other similar users, includes an elongated body having a first end and a second end, a striking member located at the first end, a prying member located at the second end, and a hook member located along an exterior surface of the body between the first and second ends. The striking member may be in the form of a hammer head having oppositely facing striking surfaces, and the prying member may be in the form of a crow bar contiguous with the body. The hook member may have a curvature opposite such that it faces in a direction away from the prying member. The tool may include a handle between the first and second ends, which may be grasped by the user when using the striking member.
