Abstract: An AR-15/M-16 rifle variant bolt cleaning and polishing tool comprising three pieces designed for scraping the carbon build up off of a dirty AR-15/M-16 rifle variant bolt, then polishing the residual carbon completely off the bolt tail. The scraping is accomplished by means of a scraping blade with a radius that matches the bolt tail and rotating the bolt tail against this blade while applying pressure. The polishing is accomplished by inserting a scouring pad between the polishing arm and the main body of the tool and then applying pressure to the polishing arm creating torque to polish off residual carbon.

Abstract: The disclosed Invention is that of a rifle rest, comprised of a rocking base formed by first and second generally arc shaped members, each having a generally convex bottom surface adapted for rocking motion, joined together in a generally parallel spaced relationship by cross-members or blocks at either end of the generally arc-shaped members, and including grips or supports attached to these cross-members or blocks, upon which grips or supports the rifle rests, in a generally horizontal position. The Invention is mechanically simple, lightweight and portable, easily attached to any rifle, is highly stable when shooting, and is easily re-aligned with any available target, in either the vertical plane by the rocking motion mentioned above, or by swinging the Invention laterally in the horizontal plane upon its curved base, in the manner of a gun turret.

  • Publication number: 20110113671
Abstract: A night sight includes a notched bottom portion, permitting the use of a large objective lens for maximized light gathering capability while also permitting the night sight to be mounted with its center line relatively close to the center line of the barrel of the weapon with which it is used. This configuration permits the night sight to be mounted so that its center line is the same as the center line of a daytime telescopic sight used in conjunction with the night sight. The night sight includes a focusing assembly having decreased sensitivity to tilt or decenter, and a collimator mounted within a spherical bearing so that the collimator may be precisely aligned during assembly of the night sight. The night sight thereby ensures that an image viewed through the night sight appears to originate from the same angle as that with which the image entered the objective lens, and further resists a need to compensate for parallax during aiming.

Openings are provided for doors and windows and are buck framed. Hat channels are inserted as necessary for strength and/or connection thereto.

Abstract: A number of pre-casted elements are stacked vertically to build the tower, while parts of the elements are forming the tower wall. Each element of the tower is fixed on its position and is connected with a tower foundation by a number of assigned post-tensioned cables. These cables are running inside the tower and they are pulled through the tower without embedding in dedicated channels. The post-tensioned-cables are fixed at certain points with the tower wall via damper-means to prevent their oscillation.

Abstract: Fire block devices for application to a wall component. The fire block device can be a strip that includes a fire-resistant material strip comprised of a material that expands in response to sufficient heat to create a fire-resistant barrier. An optional foam strip comprised of a foam material can be placed side-by-side with the fire-resistant material strip. A cover layer covers the fire-resistant material strip and the optional foam strip, if present. The cover layer includes opposing side portions positioned on opposing sides of the fire-resistant material strip and foam strip, if present. The cover layer is comprised of a tape having an adhesive on an underneath surface thereof such that adhesive on the side portions are capable of securing the fire block strip to a wall component. The fire block strip can be applied to a header track, footer track or wall stud, among other possible components.

Abstract: The invention disclosed herein is directed to a fire retardant head-of-wall assembly configured to seal a linear head-of-wall construction joint or gap when exposed to a heat source such as a building fire. The inventive fire retardant head-of-wall assembly comprises a header track having an elongated intumescent strip affixed lengthwise on at least one of the outer sidewall surfaces of the header track. When exposed to a heat source such as a building fire, the intumescent strip is able to expand so as to at least partially fill the head-of-wall construction joint or gap; and in so doing, retard or prevent the spread of smoke and fire. The inventive fire retardant head-of-wall assembly has been certified as complaint with respect to Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.'s standards set forth in its Tests for Fire Resistance of Building Joint Systems UL 2079.

Abstract: A fastener assembly comprises a first cylindrical member disposed within a second cylindrical member. One of the first and second cylindrical members is movable relative to the other in a first direction. The other one of the first and second cylindrical members is locked relative to the one in a second direction opposite to the first direction. A spring is operably attached to the first and second cylindrical members to urge one of the first and second cylindrical members in the first direction. A removable member is operably associated with the first and second cylindrical members to prevent one of the first and second cylindrical members from moving in the first direction prior to removing the removable member. The removable member is configured to be pulled out to allow one of the first and second cylindrical members to move in the first direction.

Abstract: This invention designed a vinyl panel and panel trim in such ways that hollow channels within the panel (and trims) are connected by thin vinyl walls and two flat surfaces on both side of a panel are formed through the extrusion process. The hollow channels reduce over 80% (depending on the thickness of the wall and surfaces) of vinyl needed for building such a panel in comparison to a solid vinyl panel of same size. The sides of the panel have tongue and groove formed in the extrusion process. The surface(s) of the panel can be further worked on with methods such as laminating patterned (such as wood-grains) PVC veneer, painting, pattern (such as wood-grains) printing, etc. Such panels and trims can be used as wainscot (or wall covering) as a more environmentally-friendly substitute for wood.

Abstract: A method of making a mechanically-held tile is disclosed by providing a tile having a durable surface, an underside and an anchoring region, locating the tile in a mould, and injecting a polymer into the mould to form a substrate with an integral coupling region. Alternatively, a substrate can be provided in addition to the tile; the injected material mechanically anchors the substrate to the tile. A surrounding grout gasket can also be formed during injection. Injections can be consecutive or concurrent to tailor the properties of the substrate, grout gasket and other layers or regions. Also disclosed is a multi-part tile made by such a process, and a tile with intrinsic manufacturing deviations compensated by a grout gasket. The tile can be interconnected via the coupling regions with other surface-covering materials.

The shear wall system is non-combustible, water durable, mold and rot resistant, termite resistant and is capable of resisting shear loads equal to or exceeding shear loads provided by plywood or oriented strand board panels. The panels employ one or more layers of a continuous phase resulting from the curing of an aqueous mixture of inorganic binder, for example, calcium sulfate alpha hemihydrate, hydraulic cement, an active pozzolan and lime. The continuous phase is reinforced with glass fibers and contains lightweight filler particles, for example, ceramic microspheres.
