One or more of barbs project from the first mounting member, each having a substantially rounded tip and a tapered or gradually decreasing diameter shaft, and are received within a complementary shaped aperture on the second mounting member. A retention pin disposed within a transverse channel in the second mounting member, and having corresponding area(s) of reduced diameter along the shaft thereof, is removably secured against the barb(s) at a right angle thereto when the barbs are received within the second mounting member, frictionally securing the two members together.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 14, 2011Publication date: August 11, 2011Applicant: SAMSON MANUFACTURING CORPORATIONInventors: Scott W. Publication number: 20110192069Abstract: Modular shooting rests and associated assemblies are disclosed herein. One embodiment of the disclosure, for example, is directed to a shooting rest assembly for supporting a firearm. The shooting rest assembly can include a first base portion and a second base portion. The first base portion has an exterior surface, an inner surface, and a bottom surface defining a bottom surface plane. The first base portion also includes an inner volume defined, at least in part, by the inner surface and the bottom surface plane. The second base portion is engaged with the first base portion in a configuration selected from (a) a first shooting rest arrangement, and (b) a second shooting rest arrangement. In the first shooting rest arrangement, the second base portion is received at least approximately completely within the inner volume of the first base portion in a nested configuration.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 12, 2010Publication date: August 11, 2011Applicant: Battenfeld Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Russell A. Publication number: 20110192071Abstract: A collapsible luring dredge device is disclosed comprising a hub assembly having a plurality of separate hub sections each adapted to hold an extended spreader bar and together joined into a stacked unit assembled along a central axis with a pair of spring-loaded detents disposed therein on opposite sides of the central axis. Inner surfaces of the hub sections at each end of the hub assembly are formed with a plurality of concave cavities arranged in a circular pattern intended to engage the detents as the hub sections are rotated about the central axis. The hub assembly may thus be selectively rotated and upon the spring-loaded engagement of the detents, moved through a set of registered positions between a deployed configuration wherein the spreader bars are maintained in a substantially radial pattern for trolling use and a folded configuration wherein the bars are substantially aligned for storage.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2011Publication date: August 11, 2011Inventor: Richard J. Publication number: 20110192072Abstract: This invention relates to a method and device to produce esterified, olefinated/esterified, or thermochemolytic reacted bio-oils as fuels. The olefinated/esterified product may be utilized as a biocrude for input to a refinery, either alone or in combination with petroleum crude oils. The bio-oil esterification reaction is catalyzed by addition of alcohol and acid catalyst. The olefination/esterification reaction is catalyzed by addition of resin acid or other heterogeneous catalyst to catalyze olefins added to previously etherified bio-oil; the olefins and alcohol may also be simultaneously combined and catalyzed by addition of resin acid or other heterogeneous catalyst to produce the olefinated/esterified product.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 1, 2010Publication date: August 11, 2011Applicant: MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITYInventors: Philip H. Publication number: 20110192073Abstract: Methods for selective extraction and fractionation of algal lipids and algal products are disclosed. A method of selective removal of products from an algal biomass provides for single and multistep extraction processes which enable efficient separation of algal components. Among these components are neutral lipids synthesized by algae, which are extracted by the methods disclosed herein for the production of renewable fuels.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 6, 2011Publication date: August 11, 2011Applicant: HELIAE DEVELOPMENT, LLCInventor: Aniket KALE

Publication number: 20110192074Abstract: In the processes for treating municipal sewage and storm water containing biosolids to discharge standards, biosolids, even after dewatering, contain typically about 80% water bound in the dead cells of the biosolids, which gives biosolids a negative heating value. It can be incinerated only at the expense of purchased fuel. Biosolids are heated to a temperature at which their cell structure is destroyed and, preferably, at which carbon dioxide is split off to lower the oxygen content of the biosolids. The resulting char is not hydrophilic, and it can be efficiently dewatered and/or dried and is a viable renewable fuel. This renewable fuel can be supplemented by also charging conventional biomass (yard and crop waste, etc.) in the same or in parallel facilities. Similarly, non-renewable hydrophilic fuels can be so processed in conjunction with the processing of biosolids to further augment the energy supply.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 11, 2011Publication date: August 11, 2011Applicant: ENERTECH ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.Inventors: Norman L. Publication number: 20110192075Abstract: A method for producing biofuels is provided. A method of making biofuels includes dewatering substantially intact algal cells to make an algal biomass, sequentially adding solvent sets to the algal biomass, and sequentially separating solid biomass fractions from liquid fractions to arrive at a liquid fraction comprising neutral lipids. The method also includes esterifying the neutral lipids, separating a water miscible fraction comprising glycerin from a water immiscible fraction comprising fuel esters, carotenoids, and omega-3 fatty acids. The method also includes obtaining a C16 or shorter fuel esters fraction, a C16 or longer fuel ester fraction, and a residue comprising carotenoids and omega-3 fatty acids. The method includes hydrogenating and deoxygenating at least one of (i) the C16 or shorter fuel esters to obtain a jet fuel blend stock and (ii) the C16 or longer fuel esters to obtain a diesel blend stock.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 6, 2011Publication date: August 11, 2011Applicant: HELIAE DEVELOPMENT, LLCInventor: Aniket KALE
