Abstract: A thinning scissors of the present invention includes a first blade unit, a second blade unit, an adjusting button, a nut and a screw. The first blade unit has a first pivoting bore, and the second blade unit has a second pivoting bore. The adjusting button has an axle rotatably inserted in the first pivoting bore. The axle has an offset bore whose axis is offset from that of the axle. The nut is rotatably disposed in the offset bore, and the screw is inserted in the second pivoting bore and threaded with the nut. Thereby, the rotational axis of the first blade unit and that of the second blade relatively move as the adjusting button rotates in the first pivoting bore.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for drying coal using activated alumina. The method and system dries the coal by combining coal with the activated alumina. While in combination, the mixture is agitated to maximize surface contact between the activated alumina and the coal. As the coal contact the activated alumina, the surfactant moisture on the coal is then absorbed by the activated alumina. The activated alumina allow for the water molecules to pass into the sieves, thus being removed from the coal. After a period of agitation, the method and system thereby separates the activated alumina and the coal.

Abstract: Provided is a photobioreactor for mass-culturing marine microalgae using a semi-permeable membrane. The photobioreactor installed in a floating type on a water level or soaked at a predetermined depth from the water level to mass-culture isolated marine microalgae includes a culturing bag formed of the semi-permeable membrane through which enables seawater to exist, but prevents the marine microalgae from being penetrated, the culturing bag being configured to provide a three-dimensionally culturing space for accommodating the marine microalgae; and a floating unit connected to the culturing bag to dispose the culturing bag near the sea level, thereby exposing the culturing bag to sunlight. Since the photobioreactor for mass-culturing the marine microalgae using the semi-permeable membrane is provided, the photobioreactor may be manufactured at a low cost and free from the spatial restrictions, thereby enabling the expansion of the photobioreactor in both the horizontal and vertical directions.

Abstract: This invention relates to control method and apparatus of wind machine for plant frost protection, and belongs to the domain of agro-meteorological disaster monitoring and control. Existing wind machines for plant frost protection only rely on critical damage temperature or wind speed as a condition to start. If there is no thermal inversion, operation of the wind machine will aggravate freezing injury to plants. If the strength of thermal inversion is weak, the effect will be minimal The feature of this invention is that when temperature at the plant canopy is lower than the critical damage temperature of a certain plant and temperature difference between the top and bottom of the thermal inversion layers exceeds set threshold, wind machine will start automatically. Otherwise it will remain off. The control apparatus mainly consists of sensor 5 at the top of thermal inversion layer, sensor 7 at bottom of thermal inversion layer, and controller 4.

Abstract: For the protection of domestic gardens against varmints, birds, and the like, this frame screen, or multiple outdoor screens thereof, guard against invasion and are readily portable for shipping. The screen is preferably formed by stamping of a platen wherein multiple cavities are defined end-to-end and side-by-side, exposing the covered garden rows of seedlings or plants to the atmosphere, which thus exclude voracious animals from feeding on the plants. Each screen unit may be closed at ends or extended in-line to accommodate the garden rows. Alternately, the units may serve as a frame to support a flexible cover against frost, excessive wind, rain, snow and the like. For transportation, multiple frame units are fitted upon one another into a compact, moveable bundle.
