Abstract: A method for diagnosing a failure of an EGR circuit of an engine including an EGR exchanger, an EGR valve, a bypass duct of the EGR exchanger, and a bypass flap arranged upstream from the EGR exchanger and the bypass duct to adjust a proportion of exhaust gases flowing therethrough. The EGR circuit can be activated according to a cooled mode, in which the flap is shut, or according to a bypass mode, in which the flat is open. The method carries out, during a diagnosis phase, two activations of the flap, and measures an average of variations of the EGR gas temperature at an outlet of the EGR exchanger during the diagnosis phase.

Abstract: Provided is a power steering sensor assembly which is capable of maintaining a stable coupling between a sensing device and a housing without using a separate auxiliary member, and is mounted in an electric power steering system. The power steering sensor assembly includes a sensing device including a plurality of coupling projections formed on an outer circumferential surface thereof; and a first housing having the sensing device housed therein and including a plurality of coupling grooves formed on an inner circumferential surface thereof, the coupling grooves each having an upper end which is opened. When the sensing device is housed in the first housing, the coupling projections of the sensing device are inserted into the coupling grooves of the first housing, respectively, such that the sensing device is coupled to the first housing without being moved in a radial direction and an axial direction.

The apparatus includes a measurement probe which can be introduced into the bore and at which at least one distance sensor is provided with which the instantaneous distance of a reference point of the measurement probe from a wall of the bore can be determined The measurement probe is rotatably supported at a holder which is fixed with respect to the measurement object and/or whose position relative to the measurement object is known. An evaluation device receives a number of sequentially determined distances in the course of a rotation of the measurement probe.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to flow sensors, and more particularly, to devices and methods for providing a pressure drop through a flow sensor at a given flow rate. In one illustrative embodiment, a sensor assembly includes a housing with a first flow port and a second flow port. The housing may define a fluid channel extending between the first flow port and the second flow port, with a sensor positioned in the housing and exposed to the fluid channel. The illustrative sensor may be configured to sense a measure related to the flow rate of a fluid flowing through the fluid channel. A flow restrictor may be situated in and integrally molded with at least one of the first flow port and the second flow port. The flow restrictor may be configured to accurately provide a pressure drop through the flow sensor at a given flow rate.

Abstract: A barometer which is rotatable and a method of using a barometer which is rotatable is presented comprising a barometer tube retaining barometric fluid that is shorter than that required by non-rotatable barometers. The provision of a rotatable barometer allows the use of a barometric fluid of a density lower than that of mercury to be used, thereby enabling the use of mercury to be avoided.
