Abstract: Handles allow hand tools, implements or other utensils to operate within their arc of natural use, motion and attack without requiring extension, flexion, radial deviation, or ulnar deviation of the wrist from the neutral plane of the forearm. The preferred embodiments further include a grip shaped to increase the effectiveness of the tool and minimize antagonism between muscles and tendons of the wrist, forearm and upper arm, while maximizing the effectiveness of the gripping force delivered to it by the user. Maintaining the wrist and forearm in a neutral position increases a tool user's potential strength by increasing the synergy between large muscles of the forearm and upper arm and shoulders. It also decreases compression of the tendons and nerves in the carpal tunnel and between the wrist and forearm.

Abstract: A texturing machine is described comprising a plurality of processing points for texturing a plurality of multifilament threads. The texturing machine comprises a plurality of delivery mechanisms per processing point and a texturing system for guiding, drawing and texturing one of the threads. A central heating device is associated with the processing points for thermal treatment of a plurality of threads, wherein the texturing systems within the processing points downstream of the heating device each delimit a texturing distance. In order to treat all threads qualitatively the same, according to the invention the texturing systems of the processing points associated with a thread outlet of the heating device are held in a symmetrical arrangement with respect to the heating device such that the threads within the processing points can be guided in texturing distances of the same length.

In the integrated coal gasification combined cycle plant using combustion exhaust gas from a gas turbine as the drying gas for a coal pulverizer and adjusting the temperature of the drying gas by mixing outlet gas from a denitration device installed inside an exhaust gas boiler and outlet gas from the exhaust gas boiler, an auxiliary burner is started when the concentration of oxygen in the drying gas is increased to a predetermined value or more and is installed so as to adjust the concentration of oxygen in the drying gas using the combustion exhaust gas generated thereby.

Abstract: A system and method of cooling a rocket motor component includes injecting a high pressure liquid coolant through an injector nozzle into a cooling chamber. The cooling chamber having a pressure lower than the high pressure liquid coolant. The liquid coolant flashes into a saturated liquid-vapor coolant mixture in the cooling chamber. The saturated liquid-vapor coolant mixture is at equilibrium at the lower pressure of the cooling chamber. Heat from the rocket motor component to be cooled is absorbed by the coolant. A portion of the liquid portion of the saturated liquid-vapor coolant mixture is converted into gas phase, the converted portion being less than 100% of the coolant. A portion of the coolant is released from the cooling chamber and the coolant in the cooling chamber is dynamically maintained at less than 100% gas phase of the coolant as the thrust and heat generated by the rocket motor varies.

Abstract: A method and device for adding special substances to the gaseous outflow of the jet engine in order to create a “virtual wall” of increased pressure zone behind the jet engine nozzle which can serve as a support for the jet engine gas outflow to push against, thus increasing the thrust power of the jet engine. This increase in acceleration power results in the accelerated movement of the jet engine equipped vehicle or higher fuel efficiency. A device that adds the special substances to the gaseous outflow is proposed. Characteristics of the special substances, which if added into the jet engine gaseous outflow may create a “virtual wall” of increased pressure zone behind the jet engine, are proposed.

Abstract: A dosing control system for a vehicle includes an adaption triggering module, a dosing management module, and an adaption ending module. The adaptation triggering module triggers performance of an adaptation event when a first amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) measured by a first NOx sensor located downstream of a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst is greater than a predicted value of the first amount of NOx. The dosing management module disables dosing agent injection during the adaptation event. The adaptation ending module selectively delays ending the adaptation event after a predetermined number of phases of the adaption event have been completed based on a comparison of the first amount of NOx with a second amount of NOx measured by a second NOx sensor located upstream of the SCR catalyst.

Abstract: A NOx storing and reducing catalyst is disposed in an engine exhaust gas passage in which the catalyst stores NOx contained in the inflow exhaust gas when an air-fuel ratio of inflow exhaust gas is lean and releases and reduces the stored NOx when the air-fuel ratio of the inflow exhaust gas is rich. A stored NOx amount of the NOx storing and reducing catalyst is calculated and an exhaust gas purification operation is controlled based on the stored NOx amount. When the air-fuel ratio of inflow exhaust gas is lean, a ratio of NOx components in the inflow exhaust gas is calculated. An increment of the stored NOx amount per unit time is calculated based on the ratio of NOx components.
