Abstract: A longitudinal-slide door controlling mechanism is provided to improve door controlling for large vehicles, such as buses. The door controlling mechanism is designed to longitudinal-slide to save space-occupied by the door and enhance safety. The mechanism includes a track, a slider group, a flexible transmission group, and a drive element. The flexible transmission group is used to drive the slider group to move along the track. And the track is attached to the bus body. Therefore the bus door is driven to longitudinal-slide along the bus body. The space-occupied caused by the conventional rotary door is saved. Also, the passerby struck by the door during opening would be eliminated.

Abstract: Methods and systems to manufacture lattice-based sandwich structures from monolithic material eliminate the bonding process which is conventionally used to join lattice-based truss cores to facesheets to form sandwich structures. The bonded interface is a key mode of failure for sandwich structures which are subjected to shear or bending loads because the nodes transfer forces from the facesheets to the core members while the topology for a given core relative density dictates the load carrying capacity (assuming adequate node-bond strength exists). In one aspect, a core and related structures provide very low density, good crush resistance and high in-plane shear resistance. Another aspect of the truss structures may include sandwich panel cores and lattice truss topology that may be designed to efficiently support panel bending loads while maintaining an open topology that facilitates multifunctional applications.

Abstract: A form-fill-seal machine has a forming structure, a vertical seal structure, and a clamp fixing mechanism. The forming structure has a support frame, a tube, a sailor collar-shaped unit, and an anvil. The tube is fixed to the support frame. The sailor collar-shaped unit is fixed to the support frame, and wraps a sheet-shaped film around the tube so that two ends thereof overlap. The anvil is fixed to the tube. The vertical seal structure has an oscillator. The oscillator generates ultrasonic waves in order to seal overlapping portions of two ends of the film, being conveyed through the intervening gap with the anvil, in a vertical direction. The clamp fixing mechanism fixes the forming structure and the vertical seal structure in fixed positions relative to one another.

Abstract: In a lateral sealing mechanism, a cylindrical film is sandwiched and ultrasonic sealing is performed along a direction that intersects a conveying direction while a first horn and a first anvil, and a second horn and a second anvil rotate. The first horn is mounted on a first rotating body in a state of being coupled to a plurality of vibrating elements. The second horn is mounted on the second rotating body in a state coupled to a plurality of vibrating elements. A securing member grips a horn unit, which includes the horns and the plurality of vibrating elements, on the forward and rearward sides in the direction of rotation of the horn assembly in the vicinity of the node of ultrasonic vibration and secures the horn unit to the first rotating body and the second rotating body, respectively.

Abstract: A filter device disposed in a moist fluid passage of the fuel cell system includes a fluid introducing path which introduces a fluid that flows in the moist fluid passage, a filter to permeate the fluid introduced from the fluid introducing path and remove foreign matter in the fluid, a fluid discharge path which discharges a fluid that passed the filter, and a rotating driving mechanism, connected with the filter, that rotates the filter so that substances that adheres to the filter are removed by the centrifugal force. In the filter device, water does not adhere to and does not remain in the filter. When leaving the system under the low temperature after the system stops, blockage by freezing the filter can surely be prevented. The complex control and the heat source such as a heater for defrost is unnecessary. Thus, a cheap and compact filter device can be provided.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method of folding multiple filaments and a bundle of filament produced by the same. More particularly, the method of folding multiple filaments includes release-winding the filaments under a uniform release-winding tension, folding the released filaments in non-twisted states and winding the folded filaments to produce a bundle of filament, so as to effectively prevent some of the filaments in the bundle of filament from hanging down or becoming loose due to different tensions when the bundle of filament is release-wound for post processing. The bundle of filaments includes a plurality of filaments combined together in a non-twisted manner and has highly uniform weight of the filaments per unit length of the bundle of filament, wherein the standard deviation of the weight of each filament ranges from 0.0001 to 0.01 from their average weight.
