Abstract: A roller conveyor is described that includes a frame with spaced, parallel side rails; a plurality of parallel driven rollers, each roller having shaft ends extending through the rails; a shaft pulley affixed to the one shaft end outside of a given rail; a rotary drive means including a rotatable drive pulley mounted outside the given rail; and connector means operably connecting the drive pulley to the shaft pulleys, whereby rotation of the drive means rotates the driven rollers. The drive means can be an electric motor mounted beneath the driven rollers or a motorized drive roller in a plane with the other rollers. One of the rollers can be deflectable downwardly by objects conveyed on the conveyor, with the state of a switch being changed when the roller is deflected.

Abstract: The eyes of a contact lens wearer are protected from the effects of a liquid disinfecting solution by providing a contact lens container having a catalyst therein and a container of the disinfecting solution of unusual design. The openings of the contact lens container and the solution container are configured so only the contact lens container is able to receive solution from the solution container. This prevents the user from directly removing disinfecting solution from the solution container and thereby prevents the user from directly applying the disinfecting solution to the eye.

Abstract: A new system of packaging and offering precious gems for sale are disclosed. A precious gem and an abbreviated certificate of authenticity about that gem are sealed within an at least partly see-through security case. The sealed security case is secured inside of an enclosed compartment in a security carton, and the gem and the abbreviated certificate of authenticity are visible through one or more windows in the security carton. Additional information about the gem is stored in a storage compartment in the security carton, which is separately accessible from the enclosed compartment. A retailer displays and offers the gem for sale directly to end consumers in the display package, and the consumer is assured by the display package that the gem has the characteristics disclosed on the abbreviated certificate of authenticity without requiring an intermediate local jeweler to verify the characteristics.

Abstract: A multi-functional bottle contains two separate compartments, a first compartment for water or liquid storage, and a second compartment or holding chamber, for storage of a powdered formula. The holding chamber is comprised of both flexible, and rigid food-grade polymers. The holding chamber has a closed bottom-end, forming the bottle's base, and an open, re-sealable top-end for addition of the powdered formula, and for release of the powdered formula for mixing when so desired. Re-sealable top-end forms an airtight seal with an agitator cap. The agitator cap can easily be released by firmly pressing (depressing) the bottom-end of the holding chamber (and bottle), allowing the user to now mix the powdered formula with the water with a single hand.

Abstract: A firearm cleaning kit includes a case, a fastener, a tool insert, an attachment element releasably securing the tool insert to the interior of the case, and a firearm cleaning tool. The case includes a first side and a second side joined along a fold line. The fastener joins the first and second sides of the case together. The tool insert is secured to an interior region of the case, and includes a plurality of tool cavities. The attachment element includes a fixed portion and a detachable portion; the fixed portion being permanently secured to the interior region of the case and the detachable portion engaging the fixed portion. The firearm cleaning kit further includes a firearm cleaning tool. The firearm cleaning tool is selected from the group consisting of a right angle pick, a scraper, a slotted tip, and a bore cleaning brush.

Abstract: An exemplary mobile module includes a device frame and/or a case, with the device frame positioned within, and (preferably immovably) affixed to, the case walls. An appendage extending from the top of the module may include a handle and/or an adjustable support mount (which preferably includes a flat portion and a valley) that allows the module to hang from a variety of surfaces (such as a cabinet roof/door). Optional (preferably adjustable) sidebars extending from the module sides provide stability when the module is hanging. Equipment such as display and input devices may be (preferably adjustably) affixed to the device frame, and communication ports (e.g., for serial connectivity) and power sources may be provided in the frame interior. Such equipment may be accessible through openings in the case walls that provide access to the case interior. A (preferably affixed) computer and a multi-function cable may enhance diagnosing and interfacing capabilities.

Abstract: A biopsy marker delivery device are described. The delivery device can include a relatively flexible hollow tube, a pushing member such as a push rod disposed for sliding with the tube, and at least one marker disposed in the tube. A marker blocking member is disposed distal of the distal most marker, and is disposed at least partially within the hollow tube to assist in preventing premature deployment of a marker from the hollow tube. A portion of the blocking member may disposed in the hollow tube, and another portion of the member may be operatively associated with a portion of the package such that when the marker delivery device is removed from the package, the member is removed from the marker delivery device.

Abstract: A tool positioning pad includes a pad having a plurality of position holes and at least one block unit detachably connected to the position holes. The tool bits are positioned via the position holes and the handles are positioned via the block unit so that the tool positioning pad can position not only the tool bits but also the handles. Therefore, when the users need multiple handles, the users do not need to take an added bag inconveniently for receiving the handles.

Abstract: A compressible package having pair of scored sidewalls, which facilitate compression of the package into a wedge shape for storage in narrow recesses. Optionally, the compressible package may include a scored bottom flap wherein the bottom portion of the sidewalls and the bottom flap are shaped such that when the carton is compressed by a user the resulting shape of the bottom flap complements the shape of the sidewalls, maintaining a substantially closed carton. Preferably the compressible package is a carton for storing and dispensing tissue and the carton assumes a wedge shape, which allows the carton to be fit into tight spaces, such as between the seat and the center console of the automobile while maintaining a substantially closed carton.

Abstract: An inflatable valve for an inflatable packaging cushion has first and second juxtaposed plys of thermoplastic material secured together by first and second spaced-apart heat sealed side seams to form a flattened tube having an interior sealing end positioned in an inflatable packaging cushion and an inflation probe insertion end positioned exteriorly of the inflatable packaging cushion. An adhesive strip is applied to the second ply and extends between the heat sealed side seams. Release paper covers the adhesive strip; wherein the release paper is removed and the first and second plys are pressed together, the adhesive strip seals the first and second plys together. Spot seals at the intersections of the heat sealed side seals and the adhesive strip sealingly join the side seals and the adhesive strip. The adhesive strip is provided by one side of a two-sided adhesive tape or as a layer of adhesive.

Abstract: A portable caddy, comprising: a base portion; a handle portion removably secured to an upper surface of the base portion, the handle portion having a pair of support members and an elongated member extending therebetween, the handle portion being configured to rotatably support a roll of paper towels above the upper surface of the base portion; a plurality of recessed areas disposed in the upper surface; and an opening in a side wall of the base portion, the opening providing access to a receiving area disposed between the upper surface and a bottom surface of the base portion, wherein the receiving area is configured to store a plurality of plates therein and wherein the opening allows removal of the plates from the receiving area and a rotatable base portion securable to a lower surface of the base portion, wherein the rotatable base portion allows the portable caddy to be rotated with respect to the rotatable base portion.

Abstract: A storage system for storing used surgical towels, sponges or other medical waste materials includes a rear panel having an upper portion and a lower portion formed from a flexible sheet material. The upper portion of the rear panel has a coupling mechanism for coupling the device to a sterile structure of a surgical room. In certain embodiments, the rear panel may have a weakened partition area for separating the lower portion from the upper portion. A compartment assembly is formed by two or more flexible compartments provided on the lower portion of the rear panel. Each compartment may be liquid impervious and have an upper opening for introducing materials into the compartment. Each compartment has a forward wall that is at least partially transparent so that the contents of the compartment are observable. All components of the storage device may be sterile for use in a sterile environment. In certain embodiments, a storage system may be provided by coupling at least two storage devices together.

Abstract: A banknote handling apparatus 10 comprises a casing 12, an inlet 20 configured for inserting banknotes into the casing 12 from the exterior thereof, a plurality of storages 40 provided in a lower portion of the casing 12, in a substantially horizontal direction and in parallel relative to one another, and respectively adapted for storing therein the banknotes, and an escrow storage 42 juxtaposed with the respective storages 40 in the casing and adapted for escrowing therein the banknotes inserted into the casing 12 from the exterior thereof through the inlet 20. The bracket assembly includes a bracket having multiple bracket holes, a base securely connected to the bracket, and a fastening member pivotally connected to the bracket. The base includes multiple connection members corresponding to the bracket holes. The fastening member includes a resilient leg and a fastening arm. The fastening arm has at least one fastening portion. One of the connection members is inserted into one of the holes of the rack. The fastening portion of the fastening arm is hooked to the rack so as to connect the bracket to the rack.

Abstract: A card holder has at least one slot into which cards and/or photos may be inserted. The card holder may include two curved slots that may provide vertical stability to a card inserted in one of the curved slots. The card holder may include a straight slot that may be used to accommodate thicker card stock paper. The slots in the card holder may have teeth to help grip the card/photo more securely to keep them in place. When not in use, the card holders may conveniently and securely stack on top of each other for storage.

Abstract: The present invention is a modular stacking system for continuous stack drying of millwork that is easily transported and takes up a minimal amount of floor space when assembled. The modular stacking system is comprised of modular stabilizing stackable blocks and lightweight cross members which allow the user to create multiple stacking layers. The design of the stackable blocks ensures that the stacking system remains stable even with a large number of layers.

Abstract: A collapsible storage rack includes multiple rack members and a linkage assembly. At least one of the rack members includes a laterally extending body and a storage element that projects in a forward direction from the body. The rack members are shiftable along an upright extension direction and are shiftable relative to each other into and out of a collapsed condition. The linkage assembly shiftably interconnects the rack members and permits shifting movement of the rack members into and out of the collapsed condition.

Abstract: A ceiling rack includes a pair of transverse beams parallel to each other, at least one mesh unit and at least four supporting units. Each transverse beam has a side wall and a U-shaped hook body, and an assembly groove having an opening on a top surface thereof is formed therebetween. The mesh unit has a U-shaped end body at two opposite end portions thereof, which is assembled in the assembly groove and engaged with the U-shaped hook body. The supporting units are assembled between the side walls of the two opposite end portions of the transverse beam and the ceiling. With the U-shaped end body, the U-shaped hook body and the assembly groove, the mesh unit can be assembled in the assembly groove and engaged with the U-shaped hook body without any locking element, thereby providing the convenience of assembly and disassembly.

Abstract: A rotatable display carousel may include a stationary central rod and a bottom plate rotatably mounted about the central rod. A plurality of shelf sections may be rotatably positioned above the bottom plate respectively. A rotating mechanism may be used to simultaneously rotate each shelf section respectively by rotating the bottom plate about the central rod. In this manner, each shelf section rotates in sync based upon a rotational speed of the bottom plate. The central rod remains stationary while the bottom plate and the shelf sections rotate respectively. The structural arrangement enables the plurality of shelf sections to be dynamically linked to the bottom plate in such a manner that the shelf sections synchronously rotate upon rotation of the bottom plate.

Abstract: A variable angle panel mounting system can include at least one variable-angle panel mounting member, which in turn includes an elongate support member and an angularly-adjustable mounting plate adapted to secure an end of the elongate support member to a plurality of mounting surface angles. In some embodiments, the variable angle panel mounting system may also include a pressure-fit mounting system. These components can provide the ability to angularly and vertically adjust the variable-angle panel mounting member between opposing support surfaces.

The base portion of the bottle assembly includes a weight distribution mechanism for counterbalancing the first liquid against the second liquid. The weight distribution mechanism is a flexible member positioned between a first base portion of the first chamber and a second base portion of the second chamber, the flexible member slidingly engaging an inner surface of the base portion of the bottle assembly. When the first liquid is reduced, the first base portion of the first chamber is displaced in a first direction and the second base portion of the second chamber is displaced in a second direction, the first direction being opposite the second direction.

Abstract: A drywall extension sleeve for an electrical box includes a rectangular sleeve with upper and lower flanges. The extension box preferably has an outer dimension that mates with a drywall ring or box. The sleeve is preferably attached to a pre-wired assembly, which includes an electric cable and electrical box, drywall ring and the electrical component wired to the cable. The extension sleeve is positioned between the drywall ring or box and the electrical component. The electrical assembly is installed and drywall is then attached to the framed-in wall. An opening is provided through the drywall for the electrical component. The electrical component is then loosened and the extension sleeve and electrical component moved outwardly. Retention clips are placed in upper and lower flanges of the extension sleeve and the electrical component is tightened, drawing the extension and the component flush against the outer surface of the drywall.

Abstract: A device and methods for opening a can with a pull tab are disclosed. The device has a forward portion having a top wall and a bottom wall forming a cavity between the walls. The cavity is configured to receive the pull tab. A rear portion extends from the forward portion. The rear portion has a proximal sidewall, a distal sidewall, and a curved groove adjacent the distal sidewall. The curved groove is configured to snap onto a lip of the can. A recessed portion extends from the rear portion distal sidewall. The recessed portion can be lifted to open the can.

Abstract: A can lid of a can provided with an easily openable opening means is disclosed wherein the can lid is equipped with a can lid which is fastened by winding tightly on the can main body and the top end opening of the can main body, a score section installed around the territory of the prearranged opening area and a tab for severing the score section. In the can lid, there is formed a protrusion protruding upward from the can lid in front of the can opening during manufacturing of the can lid, in which it is a collapsing protrusion where the protrusion elastically deforms into the can main body by depressing motion of the user and thereby enables forming of a concave section for easy insertion of the user's finger.

Abstract: A product storage container that includes a container body, a slide mechanism, and a frangible tear strip. The container body includes a base portion that is joined to a cover portion through a hinge section. The cover portion provides an upper flange extension that defines a first slot, the base portion provides a lower flange extension that defines a second slot, and the hinge section allows the cover portion to move between an open position and a closed position. The slide mechanism is positioned within the first and second slots and is configured to secure the cover portion in the closed position when arranged in a first position. The frangible tear strip maintains the slide mechanism in the first position, and upon severing, allows the slide mechanism to travel to a second position which enables the cover to be moved to the open position.

The gate valve assembly includes a gate which is slidable to selectively prevent and facilitate variation of rate of dispensation of material from the bulk bag and, more particularly, through an aperture defined by the shell of the bulk bag. The gate valve assembly has a configuration which, during movement of the gate to restrict dispensation of material through the aperture in the shell, renders the gate unlikely to snag with other portions of the bulk bag such as, for example, portions of the shell which define the aperture. Methods are also provided.

Abstract: A preservation and dispensing apparatus includes a pressurized gas supply assembly for pressurizing and dispensing fluid from a bottle in a manner that effectively creates a barrier protecting the fluid from harmful effects of oxygen. The pressurized gas supply assembly includes an inert gas output linked to the bottle via a dispensing nozzle secured within an opening of the bottle. The dispensing nozzle includes a connecting seal having a series of outwardly directed, flexible fins composed of a first material and an outwardly tapered seal member composed of a second material. The inert gas output includes a regulator assembly having a piercing pin that passes through an end cap of a gas capsule allowing gas from the gas capsule to pass through the regulator assembly. The regulator assembly reduces the gas pressure from approximately 2700 psi to approximately 5 psi in a single step.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present disclosure provides an integrated spray and wipe system and a method of using such a system. In one embodiment the system includes a fluid reservoir that extends through the center of a roll of cleaning material (e.g., paper towel roll). The tool houses cleaning fluid and cleaning wipes and, therefore, can be used to dispense liquid or cleaning wipes as needed.

Abstract: A container includes a housing, a container body mounted in the housing and having an inner portion provided with a receiving chamber and a pusher movably mounted in the receiving chamber and having a surface provided with an outlet hole connected to the receiving chamber. The receiving chamber has a bottom wall provided with a stop portion. The pusher has a bottom wall provided with a pressing portion that is movable to closely abut the stop portion. Thus, the pressing portion can be moved to closely abut the stop portion so as to completely squeeze the cosmetic filling outwardly from the outlet hole and to prevent part of the cosmetic filling from being left in the receiving chamber so that the user can use the cosmetic filling to the maximum extent.

Abstract: The invention relates to a valve for a container for dispensing pressurized fluid, the valve having a valve body which is mountable on a container lid, a closure member which is arranged in a passage provided in the valve body, a sealing arranged on the closure member and formed of at least one disc-shaped sealing lip and which, when the closure member is in a closing position relative to the valve body, abuts on a valve seat provided on the passage, and a holding device by which the closure member is displaceably arranged in the valve body and held in a closing position therein when it is in its normal position, at least one wear protection device being associated with the at least one sealing lip upstream with respect to the outflow direction of the fluid.

Abstract: A lever of an aerosol valve having a valve stem includes a lever member having first and second end portions, a first aperture disposed in the first end portion, and a second aperture disposed between the first and second end portions. The first aperture is configured to permit the lever member to be releasably received over a valve stem of an aerosol valve in a dispensing position, in which the second end portion extends outwardly from the valve stem to provide for pivotally displacing the valve stem to dispense product therethrough. The second aperture is configured so that the lever member fits in a stored position with the second aperture around a portion of the valve stem, and the first and second end portions extending alongside the valve stem, such that the lever member may be stored under a cover.

Abstract: A lid for use with containers having a peripherally disposed edge with a rolled inside edge positioned around the container opening. The lid has a flange with a first rim projecting downwardly therefrom. The first rim has an edge engaging section with a plurality of concentrically positioned snap rings that each have a concavely shaped contact surface facing outward from the first rim to engage a curved surface on the rolled inside edge. The first rim is tapered inwardly such that the lower snap rings have a smaller diameter than the upper snap rings to allow the container to select which snap ring provides the best fit for snap engagement with the curved surface. The snap rings are made out of a material that deforms to the shape of the curved surface. A second rim projecting downward from the flange outwardly of the first rim provides a dust shield.

Abstract: A sliding closure for a vessel containing molten metal, having a slider unit guided in a slider housing, the slider unit having a push rod that can be connected to a drive rod of a linear drive via a coupling, wherein a mounting element for the linear drive is provided on the slider housing and receives the push rod and the drive rod on a coupling side. The mounting element is equipped with an automatically operating locking device for the linear drive. The slide closure operates reliably, both during the casting process and during transport thereof between the various stations of the plant.
