Abstract: A device for selectively blocking unauthorized reverse viewing to the inside of a room through a door peephole comprising a main body, enclosure plate, actuating rod and rotating disc. The actuating rod and rotating disc include a first and a second locking means, respectively, which engage each other. When the actuating rod is moved in a first direction, the rotating disc rotates to align the opening of the rotating disc with the opening of the enclosure plate to allow visual access. When the actuating rod is moved in a second direction, the opening of the rotating disc will misalign the opening of the enclosure plate to block visual access. The device remains either in an open or in a closed position until a person inside the room moves the actuating rod. The device functions without an actuating rod if a user manually turns the rotating disc with his finger.

Abstract: A method and device are presented that creates a channel adjacent a nailing flange of a window in between the window and the rough opening that receives the window. The channel is created by establishing a barrier that prevents foam insulation inserted into the space between the window and the rough opening from reaching the nailing flange. The channel then ensures proper drainage of water that enters the window cavity down to the window sill. A gasket is presented that can be attached to the window or the rough opening to create the barrier. Alternatively, a disintegrating object or a wicking object can be used to impede the flow of insulation foam and to create the appropriate channel. The present invention is equally applicable to doors or other framed objects received into the exterior shell of a building.

Abstract: A method for the production and filling of packaging means is described and claimed, in which the following production steps are performed: flattened tubular film material is wound off a roll along the primary axis of symmetry of the hose, the tubular material is provided via a welding and separating process with a first lateral welding seam perpendicular in reference to the tubular axis and separated along a separation line, the hose sections open at one side are filled, the still open end of the hose section open at one side is provided with a second lateral welding seam. It is considered novel and inventive that two subsequent separation lines are inserted in the hose at a distance, which is smaller than the distance between the two edges of the hose. Additionally, a device is described and claimed comprising features allowing the implementation of the method.

Abstract: A regenerative heat exchanger for transferring heat from the exhaust gas to the intake working fluid of a prime mover and from the pressurized working fluid to the exhaust vapor of a heat pump. Application is especially useful in a system in which liquid air or nitrogen made by a heat pump provides compression cooling for a gas turbine prime mover. The heat exchanger employs circulating element heat transfer surface such as wire belts or ceramic balls, which circulate in turn through working fluid exhaust and intake channels while absorbing and rejecting heat between the two channels. Effectiveness exceeding 98% increases thermal efficiency of small low-pressure ratio gas turbines.
