Abstract: A method is provided for connecting a first component to a second component. The two components are placed against each other and pre-fixed, wherein the two components are attached and immovably connected to each other at at least one first connection point via a first detachable component connection and are attached and connected to each other so as to be movable relative to each other in a sliding direction at at least one second connection point via a second detachable component connection. The pre-fixed components are rigidly connected, in particular, by welding.

Abstract: In light-irradiation heating with a total irradiation time of one second or less, two-stage irradiation is performed, including a first stage of light irradiation of a semiconductor wafer, which irradiation produces an output waveform that reaches a peak at a given emission output; and a second stage of supplemental light irradiation of the semiconductor wafer, which irradiation is started after the peak, producing an emission output smaller than the above given emission output. The emission output in the second stage is two thirds or less than the above given emission output at the peak. The first-stage light-irradiation time is between 0.1 and 10 milliseconds, and the second-stage light-irradiation time is 5 milliseconds or more. This allows the temperature of the semiconductor wafer even at a somewhat greater depth below the surface to be raised to some extent while allowing the surface temperature to be maintained at a generally constant processing temperature.

The heating element has a first electrical terminal in contact with a first contact element disposed around the perimeter of the heating element and a second centrally located terminal in contact with a centrally disposed fastener. A bimetal element is in contact with the second terminal of the heating element and has two engaging clips. A movable contact moves with the knob and has a first position wherein it does not engage the clips and the heating element is unenergized and a second position wherein it engages the clips to energize the heating element.

The method includes the process of conforming the shape of the housing to the structure and applying a treatment thereafter to the structure.

Abstract: A device for removing condensate from a surface of a transparent material is disclosed. The device uses a power supply to conduct an electrical current through and thereby heat a transparent thermo-resistive element embedded within the transparent material. As the transparent thermo-resistive element is heated, heat transfers to a surface of the transparent material, thereby heating such surface to a temperature above the dew point of the condensing liquid which in turn prevents fogging on the surface of the transparent material. Embodiments of the present invention have utility in performance eyewear where fogging has the potential to reduce visibility.

Abstract: A heating device and a temperature control device are provided. The heating device includes a heating element, and a heat conducting film disposed on the surface of the heating element, wherein the heat conducting film has a surface area that is larger than the contact area between the heat conducting film and the heating element. The heat conducting film is used for uniformly conducting heat generated by the heating element. Therefore, the existing non-uniform heating and slow heat dissipation problems for the heating element having a large surface area can be solved. Furthermore, because the metallic heat conducting film has good heat conduction, the heat can be quickly spread over a larger area to prevent localized overheating and damage to the heating element itself or the electrical product.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for rapid thermal processing of a planar substrate including axially aligning the substrate with a substrate support or with an empirically determined position are described. The methods and apparatus include a sensor system that determines the relative orientations of the substrate and the substrate support.

Abstract: A honeycomb structure is provided with a pair of electrode sections disposed on the side face of the honeycomb structure section. The honeycomb structure section has an electric resistivity of 1 to 200 ?cm, and each of the pair of electrode sections is formed into a band-like shape extending in a cell extension direction of the honeycomb structure section. In a cross section perpendicular to the cell extension direction, one electrode section of the pair of electrode sections is disposed across the center O of the honeycomb structure section from the other electrode section of the pair of electrode sections. In a cross section perpendicular to the cell extension direction, 0.5 time the central angle of each of the electrode sections is 15 to 65°.

Abstract: A solids heat exchanger (10) is in the form of a shell and tube arrangement having a shell section (11) through which heated oil (12) passes and a tube section (13). A screw conveyor (14) extends along its length and has a drive motor (15). Drill cuttings or other hydrocarbon contaminated materials are fed in through an inlet (16) and then conveyed along the tube (13) where heat transfer takes place. On exiting the tube (13) oil and water vapour rises and escapes through a first outlet (17) while the now cleaned drill cuttings or other materials fall through a second outlet (18) forming a discharge zone. The apparatus aims to reduce the oil content of the solids to less than 0.5%. The solids can then simply be disposed of. The base oil can be reclaimed and reused.

In another embodiment, the container includes partial swing walls that support cassettes for dividing the container into smaller compartments. The base comprises six hinged pieces including two identical trapezoid pieces and four identical right triangle pieces. The shorter of the parallel sides of the two trapezoid pieces are hinged together and the right triangle pieces are hinged together at their right angles forming two isosceles triangle pieces. Further, the isosceles triangle pieces are hinged to the joined trapezoids fitting in the triangle formed therein and the four side pieces are hinged to the outer sides of the base as well as to each other where they meet.

The cradle has a first end with a height corresponding to the thickness of the cell phone, a second end with a height substantially greater than the thickness of the cell phone, and tapered sides forming an enclosure having an open top and a depth which increases from one end to the other. The cell phone is placed in the cradle with the speaker in the deeper end so that the cell phone is spaced away from the head when the open side of the enclosure is held against the head with the speaker opposite the ear.

The imaginary line divides the rectangular frame into a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion. A first distance is defined vertically from the imaginary line to the top of the rectangular frame and a second distance is defined vertically from the imaginary line to the bottom of the rectangular frame. The first distance is larger than the second distance. The rectangular frame is taken to connect to the box and the box cover for adjusting the height of the adjustable box such that the adjustable box can receive various accumulators with different sizes.

The container has a cover with a female member extending upwardly for frictionally engaging the male member when the container is closed. The guard lip renders the lower edge of the outer portion of the female member relatively inaccessible. The container has a hinge connecting the cover to the base having a removable portion that may be removed to facilitate opening the container.

The end closure comprises a central panel portion having a recessed fingerwell for facilitating access to and manipulation of a pull tab. The fingerwell may further comprise features such as rounded edges for reducing risks of laceration and increasing accessibility.

Abstract: I have search internet and have yet to find the product of which I am trying to get patent. I also have checked main brand market areas and haven't found the garbage can that is detailed as this one. The two components of the structure in which the garbage can is being used haven't yet been distributed to the public. This is the sole reason why I am coming forward to gain permission to have the sole rights of the idea.

The tensioning lever is able to be brought via the closing flap, during the rotary motion of the closing flap into an opened rotated position, with the closing flap disengaged from the tensioning lever after a further rotary motion into a fully opened end position. The tensioning lever may be fixed in open, and the closing flap positive-lockingly engages with the tensioning lever during closing and the tensioning lever is able be to moved into a closed tensioned position by the closing flap.

Abstract: A child's toy for collecting fish includes a clear bowl with a rope handle attached to it. Tethered to the rope handle is a lid with a water and air permeable mesh. The handle preferably includes a buoyant member such as a wooden cylinder hand grip which will keep the apparatus from sinking if let go. The apparatus is preferably made from a plastic fish bowl into which two diametrically opposed holes are created to receive ends of the rope handle which is held in place by tying. The fish bowl has an upper lip and a ring dimensioned to fit over the lip. A circular mesh screen is attached to the ring and the ring is attached by a tether to the bowl or to the rope handle. A kit and a method of assembly are also disclosed.

The second receptacle is adapted to receive a stick, such as those served with frozen ice confections and ice cream bars. The receptacles are further adapted to receive drippage from melting frozen food items and confections. The holder is invertible to conveniently use either the first or second receptacle for receiving frozen food items supported in a cone, or on a stick. The receptacle not in use may be used as a support member to place the holder on a table or similar flat surface.

The tips of the end extension sections of the strap are processed to form a closed terminal. The strap can be selectively retracted back into the receiving space inside the cap.

Abstract: A method and a dispenser dispense a sheet of paper through a bottom outlet gap from a stock. A sensor activates, upon detection of a person, an electric drive which delivers a portion of paper from the outlet gap so that the sheet of paper can be torn off by hand. When the delivered sheet of paper is torn off, a switch is actuated. Actuation of the switch puts the dispenser in an operational readiness for delivery of another portion of paper.

Abstract: A paper dispenser dispenses paper sheet by sheet. Paper projects from a dispenser housing in an operational position so that it can be pulled off from a supply roll by hand. The paper dispenser has a delivery roller driven by the web of paper that is being pulled. A stop which is moved from a rest position to a blocked position against the force of a return spring blocks the rotation of the delivery roller so that the sheet is torn off due to the pulling power, and is slowed down by a braking device when returning to the rest position. A post-delivery device is configured to further drive the delivery roller once the sheet has been torn off and completes the rotation in a time-delayed manner so that the paper projects from the dispenser housing and can be pulled again.

Abstract: A folded product and packaging arrangement utilizes quarter folded and interfolded sheets forming a more-or-less square or cube shaped stack/clip of interfolded sheets closely matching the inside profile of a substantially cube-shaped package, substantially completely filling the package, and allows the same number of sheets provided by former packaging arrangements, which used rectangular sheets folded into U-shaped clips, in a package with a substantially square footprint and having only half the height of the previous packages. Alternatively, the new folding arrangement allows twice as many sheets to be provided in the same size package used in prior approaches requiring U-shaped folded clips of rectangular sheets. Stacked packages inside of a cover may be repositioned when an upper package is expended to present tissue from a fresh box through the top of the cover.
