Abstract: The utensil comprises a flexible container (10), sized to contain at least one shell-less egg, and a lid (20) capable of closing said container (10), wherein the container (10) containing said shell-less egg and closed by said lid (20) can float in boiling water in order to boil the egg. The container (10) comprises a cup (11) having an upper region (11a) adjacent to a top opening (13) that is bulkier than a lower region (11b) adjacent to a bottom (12). The container (10) has a perimetric flap (14) extending outwards and downwards from a rim of the top opening (13), so that, when the utensil is floating, said perimetric flap (14) traps air, thereby contributing to the buoyancy and flotation stability of the utensil, with the cup (11) being substantially submerged and the lid (20) being substantially above water.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of manufacturing a compressed lump of metal scrap. A through hole is formed in the metal scrap during a process of manufacturing the compressed lump of metal scrap instead of drilling a finished compressed lump of metal scrap to form the through hole in the compressed lump of metal scrap. Friction and stress applied to the core are minimized while the through hole is formed in the compressed lump of metal scrap, which is compressed with high density, thereby minimizing damage to the core and thus minimizing a trouble occurrence rate.

The bacterial material is selected from the group consisting of a bacterium, a lyophilized bacterium and a bacterial spore of a bacterium. The present invention solves these problems, as (substantially leakage-proof) tablets containing the actual healing agent may neither interfere with either the workability of the liquid mixture (“cementious material”) nor negatively affect properties of either mixture or final material (hardened concrete), even when applied in large quantities. During crack formation in cementious based constructions, the particles also crack, and healing agent is released.

Abstract: An apparatus and method to precisely meter and dispense two or more crop inputs with a common metering disc is presented to achieve proper placement in the soil relative to one another. In one embodiment, dry granular or granulized fertilizer is metered from one side of the disc and seed is metered from the opposite side of the same metering disc. The fertilizer is placed in a concentrated “pulse” approximately equal distances between seeds within a common seed furrow and/or between seed furrows to improved nutrient use efficiency by minimizing soil to fertilizer contact and subsequent chemical reactions that make applied supplemental nutrients less available to plants. Pressurized air may be utilized to assist discharge of both the seed and fertilizer from the disc meter to assure precise spacing in the soil. A cover may be placed on the meter and metering disc to recirculate air and thus minimize potential atmospheric contamination from seed coatings and fertilizer materials.

Abstract: Computer controlled quality control methods for manufacturing high purity polycrystalline granules are introduced. Polycrystalline silicon granules are sampled and converted into single crystal specimen in computer controlled system, eliminating the need of human operator in controlling the processing parameters. Single crystal silicon test samples, then characterized by FTIR and other standard analysis, are therefore more representative of the starting granular silicon.

Abstract: An apparatus for growing a silicon crystal substrate comprising a heat source, an anisotropic thermal load leveling component, a crucible, and a cold plate component is disclosed. The anisotropic thermal load leveling component possesses a high thermal conductivity and may be positioned atop the heat source to be operative to even-out temperature and heat flux variations emanating from the heat source. The crucible may be operative to contain molten silicon in which the top surface of the molten silicon may be defined as a growth interface. The crucible may be substantially surrounded by the anisotropic thermal load leveling component. The cold plate component may be positioned above the crucible to be operative with the anisotropic thermal load leveling component and heat source to maintain a uniform heat flux at the growth surface of the molten silicon.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for manufacturing a particle source, comprising: placing a metal wire in vacuum, introducing active gas and catalyst gas, adjusting a temperature of the metal wire, and applying a positive high voltage V to the metal wire to dissociate the active gas at the surface of the metal wire, in order to generate at a peripheral surface of the head of the metal wire an etching zone in which field induced chemical etching (FICE) is performed; increasing by the FICE a surface electric field at the top of the metal wire head to be greater than the to evaporation field of the material for the metal wire, so that metal atoms at the wire apex are evaporated off; after the field evaporation is activated by the FICE, causing mutual adjustment between the FICE and the field evaporation, until the head of the metal wire has a shape of combination of a base and a tip on the base; and stopping the FICE and the field evaporation when the head of the metal wire takes a predetermine shape.
