Publication number: 20130111790Abstract: An energy-saving billboard module includes a solar energy module, a billboard, a light-emitting element, a storage cell, and a controller, which are accommodated in an outer frame. The billboard is adhered on the solar energy module and has transparent patterns. A light sensor is disposed on a top of the outer frame for sensing the luminance of sunlight to generate a sensing signal. The solar energy module receives sunlight and generates an electric power to charge the storage cell for outputting another electric power. The controller and the light sensor are supplied with the electric power outputted from the storage cell. The electric power of the storage cell is controlled by the controller based on the sensing signal so as to enable the light-emitting element to generate an emitting light for irradiating onto the billboard, so that the patterns of the billboard can be displayed.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 2, 2012Publication date: May 9, 2013Inventors: Sheng Tsai Tseng, Sheng Lan Tseng

Publication number: 20130111803Abstract: A barrier that deters slugs and snails from foliage considered a mollusk food source. The barrier is recycled plastic and manufacturable in multiple lengths and depths. The barrier top-edge length has an inverted “u” shaped chamber serving as the dry staging area (“Chamber”) for the slug and snail deterrent. The entire underside width and length of the Chamber is spanned by mesh (“Mesh”) The Chamber minimizes exposing the deterrent to watering and rainfall moisture. The Chamber can stage a variety of deterrents and baits. The inventor recommends rock salt be the deterrent; the Chamber substantially reduces sodium chloride leaching into the soil. Slugs and snails must navigate the Chamber and Mesh to enter the protected area becoming exposed to rock salt.; the sodium chloride causes water to leave the mollusk body owing to osmosis and leads to complete dehydration.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2011Publication date: May 9, 2013Inventor: Robert P. Structures used to mount a solar panel to a roof may include a base having a flange that extends partially or fully around a periphery of the mounting unit, a mounting surface connected with the base and configured to couple with the solar panel so that the solar panel is elevated above the roof's surface and/or oriented at an angle with respect thereto, and one or more walls or members that connect the mounting surface to the base. A flexible membrane or skirt may be coupled with the flange and may extend laterally therefrom. The flexible membrane or skirt may be coupled with the roof to secure the mounting unit and solar panel to the roof.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2011Publication date: May 9, 2013Inventors: Lester Mickel Aseere, Francis John Babineau, JR.

Publication number: 20130111834Abstract: The present technology provides a glazing anchorage system for interconnecting a glazing unit with a frame of a structure. The glazing anchorage system comprises a glass anchorage connector, a frame anchorage connector and an interconnector. The interconnector is configured to couple the glass and frame anchorage connectors. The glass anchorage connector is fixedly connected to the glazing unit and includes a first elongated connection member. The frame anchorage connector is fixedly connected to the frame of the structure and includes a second elongated connection member. The interconnector is configured to couple the first elongated connection member and the second elongated connection member thus interconnecting the glass anchorage connector and the frame anchorage connector and thereby anchoring the glazing unit with the frame of a structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2012Publication date: May 9, 2013Applicant: GLASTECH GLAZING CONTRACTORS LTD.Inventor: GLASTECH GLAZING CONTRACTORS LTD.

Publication number: 20130111835Abstract: A paneled partition assembly is disclosed that can be used to selectively separate a first space from a second space. The paneled partition assembly can cover an opening when in a closed and extended position and uncover the opening when in an opened and retracted position. The paneled partition assembly can include a first panel and a second panel configured such that rotation of a handle on the first panel causes linear movement of the second panel. The partition assembly can include a pair of mating assemblies that selectively move from open and retracted positions on opposite sides of an opening to closed and extended positions in which opposite leading edges abut one another.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 1, 2012Publication date: May 9, 2013Applicant: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventor: Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

Publication number: 20130111836Abstract: Modular plastic floor tiles have elongate drainage vents formed to extend from the general upper surfaces of the tiles to general lower surfaces thereof. In a two-shot injection molded embodiment, the vents are laterally spaced from locations of overmolded features, and may be disposed within channels defined by downwardly depending support ribs. In one embodiment, groups of elongate vents are disposed around respective fill points in radiant fashion, so as to minimize the impedance to polymer flow within the injection mold. The vents may be radiussed at the tile's upper surface to enhance their fluid collecting capability.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 26, 2012Publication date: May 9, 2013Applicant: MACNEIL IP LLCInventor: MACNEIL IP LLC
