    Abstract: An energy-saving billboard module includes a solar energy module, a billboard, a light-emitting element, a storage cell, and a controller, which are accommodated in an outer frame. The billboard is adhered on the solar energy module and has transparent patterns. A light sensor is disposed on a top of the outer frame for sensing the luminance of sunlight to generate a sensing signal. The solar energy module receives sunlight and generates an electric power to charge the storage cell for outputting another electric power. The controller and the light sensor are supplied with the electric power outputted from the storage cell.     Abstract: A multiple cartridge assembly is described which facilitates speed loading of a four barrel less than lethal gun. Four less than lethal cartridges are attached to the multiple cartridge assembly and arranged to correspond with the breech of a four barrel less than lethal gun. Each less than lethal cartridge is constructed with a projectile which when fired has a velocity which will not kill an individual struck by the projectile. The less than lethal cartridge has a rim which is deeper or thicker than a rim on a conventional lethal cartridge. The caliber of the cartridge is also selected so that regular lethal ammunition is not available in this caliber. The preferred caliber of the less than lethal cartridge is 0.490.     Abstract: A barrier that deters slugs and snails from foliage considered a mollusk food source. The barrier is recycled plastic and manufacturable in multiple lengths and depths. The barrier top-edge length has an inverted “u” shaped chamber serving as the dry staging area (“Chamber”) for the slug and snail deterrent. The entire underside width and length of the Chamber is spanned by mesh (“Mesh”) The Chamber minimizes exposing the deterrent to watering and rainfall moisture. The Chamber can stage a variety of deterrents and baits. The inventor recommends rock salt be the deterrent; the Chamber substantially reduces sodium chloride leaching into the soil. Slugs and snails must navigate the Chamber and Mesh to enter the protected area becoming exposed to rock salt.; the sodium chloride causes water to leave the mollusk body owing to osmosis and leads to complete dehydration.

    Abstract: Fine coal is cleaned of its mineral matter impurities and dewatered by mixing the aqueous slurry containing both with a hydrophobic liquid, subjecting the mixture to a phase separation. The resulting hydrophobic liquid phase contains coal particles free of surface moisture and droplets of water stabilized by coal particles, while the aqueous phase contains the mineral matter. By separating the entrained water droplets from the coal particles mechanically, a clean coal product of substantially reduced mineral matter and moisture contents is obtained. The spent hydrophobic liquid is separated from the clean coal product and recycled. The process can also be used to separate one type of hydrophilic particles from another by selectively hydrophobizing one.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a rain gutter system that permits the gutter to be inverted, comprising a section of rain gutter that is supported on either side by a rotating assembly that includes a means of rotating the gutter inline to a downward position. The rotating assembly includes a gearbox that is connected to the gutters, and utilizes a gear mechanism that enables automatic rotation of the gutters. When rotated, the gutters allow loose debris contained therein, such as pine needles and leaves, to fall to the ground without requiring a user to climb to the roof to manually clean an upright gutter. If debris is left behind in the gutter, a hose or power sprayer may be used to clear the gutter of any debris contained therein. Once cleaned, the user may return the gutter to its original position.
