Publication number: 20130186215Abstract: It is possible to reduce influence of backlash effectively and to carry out precise position control even if a drive mechanism uses rotary drive of gears. For this, in moving a subject to be moved by rotation of the gears, an original point for position control is positioned by use of a sensor flag, and afterward the position control is carried out. When positioning, a bias means generates a bias in a moving direction for movement to be moved that backlash of gear drive may be removed. This sets the backlash to substantial “zero” in positioning the original point, and stabilizes an original point reset position.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 24, 2011Publication date: July 25, 2013Applicant: NEC EMBEDDED PRODUCTS, LTD.Inventor: Manabu Tsuchiya

Publication number: 20130186229Abstract: A method for operating an accelerator pedal unit for motor vehicles, wherein a change in position of the pedal plate, which is brought about by a corresponding activation force, with respect to the starting position of said pedal plate counter to a restoring force of a pedal restoring spring brings about an increase in the driving force of the drive motor of the motor vehicle, and when the activation force diminishes the restoring force of the pedal restoring spring moves the pedal plate back in the direction of its starting position, wherein an electromechanical actuator which can be actuated externally is arranged in such a way that an additional restoring force acting on the pedal plate can be set.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2011Publication date: July 25, 2013Applicant: CONTI TEMIC MICROELECTRONIC GMBHInventors: Frank Drews, Peter Habel, Carmelo Leone

Publication number: 20130186233Abstract: A hybrid drive for a motor vehicle comprises an automated conventional gearbox, an internal combustion engine having a drive connection a first transmission input shaft, an electric drive having a drive connection to a second transmission input shaft, a layshaft, freely moving wheels and fixed wheels being arranged in a plurality of wheel set planes, a plurality of gear shift devices, and a transmission output shaft. The two transmission input shafts are arranged coaxially with respect to one another. In one of its shifted positions a gear shift device connects the two transmission input shafts to one another effectively in terms of drive, and in another shifted position shifts a gearspeed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 5, 2011Publication date: July 25, 2013Inventor: Johannes Kaltenbach

Publication number: 20130186234Abstract: A constant speed drive includes one or more speed summing differentials operably connected to a base shaft and a machine shaft. A primary variator is operably connected to the one or more speed summing differentials to produce a selected constant rotational speed at the machine shaft across a range of engine speeds at the base shaft. An operating range adjustment element is operably connected to the one or more speed summing differentials to adjust a range of engine speeds at which the constant speed drive can output the selected constant rotational speed at the machine shaft.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 20, 2012Publication date: July 25, 2013Applicant: HAMILTON SUNDSTRAND CORPORATIONInventor: Mark F. Publication number: 20130186235Abstract: A vehicle engine starting device includes a drive starter gear provided on an output shaft of a transmission and a driven starter gear provided on a crankshaft of an engine are meshed, not only is it possible to start the engine by cranking the crankshaft by means of the driving force transmitted from a driven wheel without requiring a starter motor, but it is also possible to prevent the dragging of the transmission since the driving force is not transmitted to the crankshaft via the transmission. Further, since the gear ratio of the drive starter gear and the driven starter gear is set so that the rotational speed of the crankshaft attains a rotational speed that can start the engine when the vehicle speed reaches a predetermined vehicle speed for starting the engine, it is possible to reliably start the engine by cranking the crankshaft at an optimum speed.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2011Publication date: July 25, 2013Applicant: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTDInventors: Yasuhiro Morimoto, Kohei Iizuka

Publication number: 20130186236Abstract: A process and an apparatus are disclosed for improved recovery of metal from hot and cold dross, wherein a dross-treating furnace is provided with a filling material with capacity to store heat. This filling material is preheated to a desired temperature by injection of an oxidizing gas to burn non-recoverable metal remaining in the filling material after tapping of the recoverable metal contained in the dross and discharging of the treatment residue. When dross is treated in such furnace, the heat emanating by conduction from the filling material is sufficient to melt and separate the recoverable metal contained in the dross, without addition of an external heat source, such as fuel or gas burners, plasma torches or electric arcs and without use of any salt fluxes. Furthermore, the recovered metal being in the molten state can be fed to the molten metal holding furnace without cooling the melt.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2012Publication date: July 25, 2013Applicant: PYROGENESIS CANADA INC.Inventor: Pyrogenesis Canada Inc.
