The combination unit of multiple membrane shells is formed by bundling multiple membrane shells in parallel, wherein the raw water port and the concentrated water port of each of the membrane shells are respectively connected and sealed with the raw water port and the concentrated water port of the adjacent membrane shells to form the shared raw water port and the shared concentrated water port which are respectively connected with the raw water pipeline and the concentrated water pipeline. Since each of the combination units of multiple membrane shells is provided with the shared raw water port and the shared concentrated water port, it is adequate to finish the assembly of the shared raw water port with the pipeline and the assembly of the shared concentrated water port with the pipeline in the engineering installation. The combination unit of multiple membrane shells can be placed horizontally or vertically.

Abstract: An aspect of the present invention is directed to an apparatus and method for treating and disposing of wastewater produced by a facility. This aspect of the present invention is particularly well suited to manage and dispose of wastewater produced by an agricultural processing facility. Treated wastewater is selectively blended with untreated wastewater of the facility and the blended mixture is provided to a disposal unit for disposal. Another aspect of the present invention is directed to a system for maximizing the efficiency of an impurity removal unit designed to remove at least one impurity from a liquid. More specifically, this system is preferably designed to blend influent entering the impurity removal unit with another source of liquid to ensure that the liquid treated by the impurity removal unit has an impurity concentration approximately equal to the maximum impurity concentration that the impurity removal unit can satisfactorily process.

Abstract: A screen intake apparatus for a water intake system uses a cleaning system to clean one or more screen intakes. To clean debris from a screen, pipes in the interior of the screen receive pumped liquid (e.g., water or incompressible liquid) from a pump. Outlets, such as apertures or nozzles, on the pipes then direct the pumped liquid into the interior of the screen. One or more valves can vary, agitate, or pulse the flow of pumped fluid and/or can selectively deliver the pumped liquid to the pipes to remove collected debris from the exterior of the screen. A heater of the system can also heat the pumped liquid for delivery to the pipes to remove or prevent ice formation on the screen.
