Abstract: A power supply device generates power having a prescribed frequency. A primary self-resonant coil transmits the power in a contactless manner to a secondary self-resonant coil by resonating with the secondary self-resonant coil through an electromagnetic field. A power sensor detects reflected power to the power supply device. A communication device receives a power receiving state of a vehicle. An ECU estimates a positional mismatch amount of the secondary self-resonant coil relative to the primary self-resonant coil based on the power receiving state of the vehicle and the reflected power, by using relation obtained in advance between the power receiving state and the reflected power, and the positional mismatch amount.

Abstract: A method improving acceleration efficiency of a gas generator of a gas turbine by reducing take-up of electric power, during transition phases, to conserve a sufficiently large surge margin for an operating line. The method increases acceleration/deceleration power of the gas generator by adjusting voltage of an electric network onboard the aircraft. After a phase of starting the gas turbine, voltage of the onboard network is adjusted by a voltage set value controlled by determining unballasting/ballasting status of a main electricity generation source of the onboard network. The status-determining is executed according to demand for taking power to be supplied for propulsion of the aircraft. The status-determining is followed by selecting a voltage set value from plural levels according to the determining the unballasting/ballasting status, and applying the selected set value to a control loop of the voltage supplied to the onboard network.

A turning joint for an electric excavator (or a hybrid excavator) uses the principle of a transformer to transmit electric energy from the upper portion of the excavator to a travelling body in the lower portion thereof. Thus, even while an upper rotator body of an electric excavator performs a rotating operation, electric power can be supplied to a travelling electric motor in the lower portion of the electric excavator, to thereby perform a travelling operation.

The stator (2) has a quasi-E-shaped cross-section in the axial direction at the radius part; a plurality of protrusions (212, 222, 232) serving as magnetic poles are formed on the respective 3 parallel sections (211, 221, 231) of the E in the same number in the circumferential direction; and of the magnetic poles (212, 222, 232) formed at the 3 parallel sections (211, 221, 231) of the E, the top and the bottom magnetic poles (212, 232) are respectively positioned so as to be shifted in the opposite directions in the circumferential direction with respect to the center line of the middle magnetic pole (222). Changes in the magnetic resistance between the stator (2) and the rotor (4), which are caused by the flow of a magnetic flux generated around the exciting coils (31, 32), are utilized as a driving force.
