Abstract: The present invention relates to a welding mask for protecting the eyes of a user from a strong welding light during welding. More particularly, the present invention relates to a welding mask which has a face protecting plate made of a transparent material to protect the face of a wearer from the heat and flame of welding and to enable the wearer to see a broad portion of the surrounding area of a welding point, and which has a light shielding part the light shielding rate of which is higher than that of said face protecting plate so as to block the strong welding light generated from the welding point.

Abstract: A novelty headgear apparatus made from a formed, three-dimensional paperboard box is presented. The inventive apparatus, and method for making same, comprises the use of guides applied to a formed, three-dimensional paperboard box in any headgear configuration selected by a producer. The user thereafter tears or cuts along the guides to reveal the selected headgear. Multiple pieces and indicia may also be applied or enabled in the device.

Abstract: A bib garment adapted to resist removal from a front torso of a wearer, and a method of manufacturing the garment is disclosed. The garment includes a front panel covering the front torso of an infant, and an optional “crumb catcher” protruding from the front panel to protect the infant's clothing from soiling by liquid and solid food falling from the infant's mouth. The garment is anchored to the infant by straps and anchor arrangements. Fastener arrangements inaccessible to the infant are provided for fastening the garment to the infant. Thus, the garment is configured to resist removal by the infant while being fed, even when the infant repeatedly pulls or tugs on the garment. An embodiment of the garment for adults, such as an adult suffering from dementia who may attempt to remove the garment, allows feeding without soiling the adult's clothing and resists removal by the adult.

Abstract: A bib apparatus for containing liquid is provided that is made of a light-weight material that can hold its shape. The bib apparatus connects around the user's neck and sits over the user's shoulders and under the chin or may connect around the user's chest. The bib apparatus contains a recess that drains into a drain hole. The drain hole extends into a reservoir member that can contain liquid or debris. The reservoir member can hang at an angle towards the user's chest so as to hold the shelf horizontally under the user's chin. The device described herein is applicable to seniors, physically and mentally-challenged patients and for use by dental and medical professionals in connection with related procedures.

Abstract: An article of apparel includes a base layer and an auxetic layer. The base layer includes a four way stretch material. The auxetic layer is coupled to the base layer and includes an auxetic structure defining a repeating pattern of voids. In accordance with one exemplary embodiment of the disclosure, each void has a reentrant shape and is at least partially filled with a foam or a hot melt material.

Abstract: A non-aerobic garment to be worn to promote weight-loss during a wearer's daily activities from a targeted area of the wearer's body includes: (a) a sleeve having a configuration adapted so that the wearer can place the sleeve around the targeted body area, (b) a top and bottom means for holding the sleeve's top and bottom ends in close proximity to the top and bottom portions, respectively, of the targeted body area so as to trap an enclosed air layer around the targeted body area, and (c) wherein the materials of construction of this sleeve is a non-breathable material that has high thermal insulation and low water vapor permeability properties.

When a contaminant such as blood obscures the visual indicators, the user swipes across the contaminant to clean it. The index finger portion may also have a cleaning portion disposed on it to further aid in cleaning. For surgical uses, the gloves are made of latex, nitrile or other suitable material. Other uses may require other materials such as plastic, rubber, leather or other suitable material.

The two rhombic bands are disposed corresponding to the wearer's gluteus medius muscles that work to extend and lift the legs during a long-distance running. The rhombic bands are adapted to enhance the extensibility and reduce fatigue of the gluteus medius muscles. The front and back bands alternatively impart a stretching force to the wearer when the wearer's legs are repeatedly kicking and lifting during running, enabling the wearer to run with less effort. Thus, the functional pants have a significant effect on reducing fatigue, and are suitable for long-distance runners.

By providing the first and the second receiving space on the pouch structure, the wearer's penis and scrotum can be isolated from each other. A separate inverted dome-like structure, or cone, which is the ballast, is included for insertion into the flapper valve top. The ring-like upper “vent band” structure rotates about the cone relative to an air outlet aperture defined in the cone to control air flow from the cone. The bottom cap-like “adjuster” structure also rotates about the bottom of the cone to control water flow into the cone, also via apertures in both structures. Used together, the upper and bottom structures can minimize water consumption by the toilet. Further, the adjuster structure includes means for discretely changing settings with indicia to indicate to the user what the current setting is and means for maintaining that setting as may be desired or required.

A step can be included along at least a portion of one wall on the inside of the dog pool to assist the dog in getting themselves out of the pool. A ramp can be included on the outside of the pool, adjacent to the pool wall, to assist a dog in entering, and exiting, the pool. Abstract: A beach blanket for use on the sand that resists being blown around by the wind. It comprises a main panel of fabric that the user can lay upon. On the bottom side of the main panel is a plurality of scoops that can be anchored by digging into the sand prior to use. Scoops are anchored at opposing points so that tension is applied to the main panel. If sand is blown onto the top of the main panel a point on the top of the main panel may be plucked thereby ejecting the sand off of the side of the main panel.

Abstract: The present invention is an adjustable height bed side guard device and method to reduce the risk of a child from falling out of bed while sleeping and to help wean or transition a child away from needing a bed side guard. The bed side guard height can be reduced or raised in set intervals, providing a simple, step-by-step process to help a child become accustomed to and confident about being in a bed without a bed rail. The device comprises at least one elongated bolster with two or more connected layers that are assembled on top of a conventional mattress and secured in operative position along one side of the mattress by a conventional mattress pad or fitted bed sheet covering the mattress and the bolster and tucked under the mattress. Multiple devices may be used to provide further security on all sides of a bed.

The patient support surface has at least one air bladder that is inflated and/or deflated to achieve a turn assist function and/or a therapy function of the patient support surface. A graphical user interface (GUI) is configured to receive user inputs from a caregiver to initiate the turn assist or therapy functions. The patient support apparatus has control circuitry coupled to the GUI. The GUI is controlled by the control circuitry to display information indicating that the patient is improperly positioned on the patient support surface for either the turn assist function or the therapy function.
