Publication number: 20140059781Abstract: A patient support, such as a mattress, includes a plurality of inflatable bladders. Depth sensors are included in the support that measure the degree of penetration of a patient into the mattress. An air pressure sensor is also included that measures the pressure inside at least one bladder. A suitable inflation level of the mattress is determined by monitoring the rate of change of the depth with respect to air pressure as the bladder is either inflated or deflated. By detecting an inflection point in the graphical relationship of the depth and pressure outputs, a suitable inflation point for the bladders is determined that reduced interface pressures experienced by the patient, yet does not overly sink the patient into the mattress to a degree or discomfort. Analyzing the outputs of the depth and pressure sensors can also be used to detect a patient's heart rate and respiration rate.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 15, 2013Publication date: March 6, 2014Inventor: Stryker Corporation

Publication number: 20140059822Abstract: An apparatus for assembling camera modules to flexible printed circuit boards (PCBs) includes a number of trays, a surface mounting device used in surface mount technology (SMT) for PCBs, and a hot pressing device. Workpieces, each of which includes a flexible PCB (FPCB) and a lens module positioned on the FPCB, are received in the trays. Each tray is sent to the surface mounting device. The surface mounting device loads and pastes a stiffener onto a FBCB, opposite to a lens module. The hot pressing device hot presses each stiffener to the respective workpiece, which is received in each tray sent from the surface mounting device, to fixedly secure the stiffener to the respective workpiece to form a camera module.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 26, 2012Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicants: HON HAI PRECISION INDUSTRY CO., LTD., HONG FU JIN PRECISION INDUSTRY (ShenZhen) CO., LTD.Inventors: WEN-CHANG CHEN, SHIN-WEN CHEN, YU-TSAN CHENG, YU-SHU LIN, CHIEN-LIANG CHOU, ZUO-QING YAO

Publication number: 20140059826Abstract: A load introduction element for a movable surface of an aircraft comprises a load introduction body that is connectable with the surface. A fitting connected with the load introduction body with a first section and a second section. The first section comprises a first bearing means, the second section comprises a second bearing means, and the first or second section comprises a third bearing means. The fitting is pivotally connected with the load introduction body by way of the first bearing means. An adjustment unit connects the second bearing means with the load introduction body in a variable position and is positioned on a side of the load introduction body that is opposite the fitting. In this manner adjustment of a reference position of a surface takes place without the need for an access flap. By loosening the adjustment unit the movable surface is pivotable without moving a flap drive.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 6, 2013Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicant: Airbus Operations GmbHInventors: Bernhard Schlipf, Tayson William Weiss

Publication number: 20140059827Abstract: A method for cutting to length a piece of tube having an inner tube and an outer tube sheathing, the piece of tube being detached with the aid of a cutting tool at a cutting site in a plane oriented transversely to the longitudinal extent of the tube. The tube sheathing is surrounded by a severable tube fixing element, which covers over the intended cutting site before the piece of tube is detached using the cutting tool at the cutting site, and the tube fixing element completely encloses the outer tube sheathing in the circumferential direction. The tube fixing element is fixed on the tube sheathing and/or the tube enclosed by the tube fixing element is severed with the cutting tool such that a relative displacement of the tube fixing element with respect to the tube sheathing or of the tube sheathing with respect to the inner tube is prevented.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 29, 2012Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicant: NEOPERL GMBHInventor: Roger Schlitter
