Publication number: 20140060386Abstract: A method is provided for producing an electrical insulation paper having a particle composite. The method involves mixing a dispersion of particles in platelet form, a carrier fluid and a functionalizing agent which is distributed in the carrier fluid and has a proportion by mass in the dispersion corresponding to a predetermined mass ratio based on the proportion by mass of the particles. The dispersion is sedimented, such that the particles in platelet form are arranged in essentially plane-parallel layers in the sediment. The carrier fluid is removed from the sediment. Energy is introduced into the sediment to overcome the activation energy of that chemical reaction of the functionalizing agent with the particles which forms the particle composite from the sediment with coupling of the particles via the functionalizing agent. The mass ratio is predetermined such that the particle composite has a porous structure. The insulation paper is thereby produced.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 11, 2012Publication date: March 6, 2014Inventors: Florian Eder, Peter Gröppel, Vicky Grübel, Steffen Lang

Publication number: 20140060388Abstract: Ultra-high-performance cementitious materials are made using suitably functionalized and relatively low-cost carbon nanofibers and graphite platelets. Polyelectrolytes and surfactants are physisorbed upon these graphite nanomaterials in water, and dispersion of nanomaterials in water is achieved by stirring. Stable and well-dispersed suspensions of nanomaterials in water are realized without using energy-intensive and costly methods, and also without the use of materials which could hinder the hydration and strength development of ultra-high-performance cementitious materials. The water incorporating dispersed nanomaterials is then mixed with the cementitious matrix and, optionally, microfibers, and cured following standard concrete mixing and curing practices. The resulting cementitious materials incorporating graphite nanomaterials and optionally microfibers offer a desired balance of strength, toughness, abrasion resistance, moisture barrier attributes, durability and fire resistance.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2012Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicant: METNA COInventors: Muhammad Maqbool Sadiq, Anagi Manjula Balachandra, Parviz Soroushian

Publication number: 20140060421Abstract: A silicon single crystal is produced by a method wherein a silicon plate is inductively heated; granular silicon is melted on the silicon plate; and the molten silicon thus produced flows through a flow conduit in the center of the plate to a phase boundary at which a silicon single crystal crystallizes, wherein a silicon ring having a lower resistivity than the plate, and lying on the plate, is inductively heated prior to inductively heating the plate, and melting the ring.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2013Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicant: Siltronic AGInventors: Josef Lobmeyer, Georg Brenninger, Waldemar Stein

Publication number: 20140060423Abstract: A substrate processing apparatus includes a chamber, a substrate holding part, a substrate rotating mechanism, a liquid receiving part, and an upper nozzle. The chamber includes a chamber body and a chamber cover, and the chamber cover is moved up and down. While the chamber cover is in contact with the chamber body, a small sealed space is formed and some processings involving pressure reduction or pressurization are performed. When the chamber cover is moved up, an annular opening is formed between the chamber cover and the chamber body. On an outer side relative to the annular opening, positioned are a first cup part and a second cup part. A processing liquid spattering from a substrate is received by the first cup part or the second cup part. In the substrate processing apparatus, it is possible to perform various processings in the small chamber.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2013Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicant: DAINIPPON SCREEN MFG. Publication number: 20140060424Abstract: A substrate is surrounded by an inner cup and an outer cup. A distance between an upper surface of an inner cup lower portion and a lower surface of an inner cup upper portion of the inner cup is gradually reduced outward from an outer periphery of the substrate. A clearance is formed between the upper surface of the inner cup lower portion and the lower surface of the inner cup upper portion at outer peripheries of the inner cup lower portion and the inner cup upper portion. A collection space is formed between the upper surface of the inner cup lower portion and the lower surface of the inner cup upper portion. A scatter capturing space that allows a processing liquid that has passed through the clearance to scatter and captures the scattering processing liquid is formed by an outer cup. An upper portion and an outer periphery of the scatter capturing space are covered by a lower surface and an inner side surface of the outer cup, respectively.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 18, 2013Publication date: March 6, 2014Inventor: Minoru SUGIYAMA

Publication number: 20140060425Abstract: With abluminal side of a stent masked, the luminal side of the stent is selectively coated with a substance, such as an anti-coagulant, a platelet inhibitor and/or a pro-healing substance. The stent can be masked by inserting it into a rigid mandrel chamber or by compressing a masking sleeve onto the outer side of the stent. A spray nozzle inserted into the masked stent spray coats the substance onto the luminal side. The sprayed coating can be cured onto the stent such as by inserting an electrical-resistance heater bar into the stent.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2013Publication date: March 6, 2014Applicant: Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, Inc.Inventors: Andrew J.
