Publication number: 20140094321Abstract: Providing a vehicle torque limiter device enabling acquisition of a hysteresis torque with a simple structure. Since a friction force F1 generated on friction surfaces between a pressure plate 80 and a first friction material 88 is smaller than a friction force F2 generated on friction surfaces between a lining plate 76 and the first friction material 88, when a torque T is input to a damper device 38, a slip first occurs between the pressure plate 80 and the first friction material 88, and the lining plate 76 and the first friction material 88 integrally rotate. In this case, a hysteresis torque T1 is generated based on the friction force between the pressure plate 80 and the first friction material 80. Since a torque limiter mechanism 68 also acts as a hysteresis mechanism in this way, the torque limiter mechanism 68 is realized that can generate the hysteresis torque with a simple structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2013Publication date: April 3, 2014Applicant: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Takeshi MIYAGAWA, Satoru Takahashi

Publication number: 20140094324Abstract: Three cylindrical concaves (reduced thickness portions) are formed in the intermediate portion between the centering so as to be spaced apart each other in the direction of the axis of the shaft inserting hole. The cylindrical concaves are formed to have an inner diameter of 11.3 mm that is larger than the inner diameter at the centering portions by removing the thickness of the hosel portion from its inner diameter of the centering portions towards outer side. The summed lengths of the bottom surfaces (peripheral surfaces) of the cylindrical concaves in the direction of the axis of the shaft inserting hole is 12 mm, thus reducing weight of the hosel portion by 3.03 g compared with conventional hosel portions. The reduced weight can be reallocated, to the sole portion. Publication number: 20140094330Abstract: A hunting arrow for tracking target animals is disclosed and described. The arrow can include a chamber. The arrow may also include a transmitter housing that is installable into the chamber. A pair of bores extending through the transmitter housing and chamber may be configured and adapted for receiving a pair of shear pins. The shear pins may secure the housing in the chamber. The transmitter housing may comprise an animal engagement member, such as a hook. The transmitter housing is ejected from the chamber when the arrow strikes a target animal and the hook stops the forward momentum of the transmitter housing with sufficient force to shear the shear pins, thereby ejecting and embedding the transmitter housing in the hide of the animal. The transmitter within the housing may broadcast the location of the animal to the hunter to enable easy tracking of the animal, if wounded.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2013Publication date: April 3, 2014Inventor: Michael D. Publication number: 20140094332Abstract: Pneumatic/hydraulic assisted mechanisms that can be used to move an object of considerable weight in quick and accurate steps. Said mechanisms comprise of an index wheel mechanism that is rotated by pre-tensioned springs (see FIG. 15). For a said index wheel mechanism that is powered by a pneumatic linear actuator, the shock loads that occur during the operation of said index wheel mechanism can be damped using a pneumatic Recovery System (see FIG. 27). For a said index wheel mechanism that is powered by a hydraulic linear actuator, the shock loads that occur during the operation of said index wheel mechanism can be damped using a hydraulic Recovery System (see FIG. 29).Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2013Publication date: April 3, 2014Inventor: Armin Sebastian Tay

Publication number: 20140094334Abstract: A gear-train for transferring torque from multiple power sources includes first, second, and third input members, and an output member. The first and second input members rotate about a first axis, the third input member rotates about a second axis, and the output member rotates about a third axis. The gear-train additionally includes a first gear-set connected to the first input member. The gear-train also includes a second gear-set connected to the second input member. The gear-train additionally includes an intermediate shaft that rotates about a fourth axis. Furthermore, the gear-train includes a third gear-set connected to the intermediate shaft. In the third gear-set, first member is connected to the intermediate shaft and to the third input member, second and third members are set coaxially relative to the intermediate shaft and configured for asynchronous rotation with each other, and the third member is also connected to the output member.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 26, 2013Publication date: April 3, 2014Applicant: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLCInventors: Goro Tamai, Shawn H. Publication number: 20140094336Abstract: A driveline for a vehicle is provided. The driveline includes a power source, a planetary gearset, a lockout clutch, a transmission, and a kinetic energy recovery system. The planetary gearset includes a sun gear, a carrier having a plurality of planet gears rotatably disposed thereon, and a ring gear. The power source is in driving engagement with a portion of the planetary gearset. The lockout clutch is capable of placing the planetary gearset in a locked out condition. The transmission is in driving engagement with another portion of the planetary gearset. The kinetic energy recovery system includes an accessory clutch and a flywheel. The accessory clutch facilitates driving engagement between the flywheel and another portion of the planetary gearset. The lockout clutch and the accessory clutch are selectively engaged to facilitate a transfer of energy to and from the transmission and the flywheel.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 2, 2013Publication date: April 3, 2014Inventors: Mark R.J.
