  • Patent number: 8763829
Abstract: A segmented collapsible container for containing a liquid and collapsing when no liquid is present. The container is segmented into a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. The three segmented portions form a uniform annular sidewall, with each separate portion of the sidewall having a different thickness or material than the other portions. The middle second portion includes a relatively thinner break point in the sidewall to facilitate collapsing. It is this variation in rigidity and integrity of the sidewalls that allows the segmented collapsible container to collapse. The segmented collapsible container includes an airtight seal formed in the first portion that restricts fluids, such as but not limited to, air from entering or leaving the segmented collapsible container. The segmented collapsible container may more easily return to its original shape after collapsing. This facilitates cleaning and reusability of the container.

  • Patent number: 8763858
Abstract: A tube extraction device for squeezing a substance out of a tube. The tube extraction device includes a base member and an upper plate hingedly secured to the base member. A lever including a handle portion and a cam portion is pivotally secured directly above the upper plate such that the cam portion rests thereon. An adjustment rod with an adjustably-secured constrictor is positioned below the base member. A knob at the end of the rod is used to advance the constrictor forward along the rod. As the constrictor advances, the upper plate constricts against the base member, thus dispensing the substance stored within any tube positioned between the upper plate and base member. If further pressure is needed, the lever may be pressed down to apply pressure from the cam portion directly onto the upper plate. A pressure knob may also be included for even more pressure capability.

  • Patent number: 8763861
Abstract: A device for dispensing individual components of a two-component adhesive includes first and second manifold members, each having a distribution chamber therein. A set of conveying tubes is supported within the dispensing device and collectively present a predetermined total cross-sectional flow area to the first distribution chamber. The second manifold member has an array of passages therethrough. Each tube extends substantially concentrically through a respective passage to define annular flow spaces that collectively present a predetermined total cross-sectional flow area to the second distribution chamber member. First and second components emanating from the tubes and the flow spaces are able to intermix with and diffuse into each other on the discharge area of the second manifold member. The cross-sectional flow areas presented to the first and second distribution chambers are equal.

  • Patent number: 8763862
Abstract: A dispensing assembly for dispensing a mixture of fluids is provided. In some embodiments, the dispensing assembly includes a first valve for selectively permitting fluid flow to a mixing chamber in which a second fluid is introduced, wherein the valve is actuated between open and closed positions responsive to fluid pressure downstream of the mixing chamber. In such embodiments, the fluid pressure downstream of the mixing chamber can change based upon whether fluid is dispensed from a spray gun, wand, nozzle, or other dispensing head of the dispensing assembly.

  • Patent number: 8763863
Abstract: Embodiments of foam dispensers including a housing, an air compressor connected to the housing and an actuator for actuating the air compressor are disclosed herein. The air compressor releasably mates with a refill unit. The dispenser has an “empty state” and a “refilled state.” The empty state occurs when there is not a refill unit positioned in the dispenser, and the refilled state occurs when the refill unit is positioned in the dispenser. The air compressor remains connected to the housing during the refilled state and remains connected to the housing during the empty state. One refill unit for a foam pump dispenser includes a container for containing a foamable liquid and liquid pump housing connected to the container.

  • Patent number: 8763865
Abstract: A novel metering device (1) for dispensing a dose of a pressurized fluid is described. A dispensing valve body (3) is mounted in a fluid-tight manner to the lid (4) of a pressurized container (5), which circumvents a valve element (9). A valve delivery tube (10) is connected to the valve element (9). A chamber (13) surrounds the valve body (3), in which a piston (17) is reciprocable between an upper and a lower position, which define the dispensing dose. A clearance is provided between the piston (17) and the inner wall (23) of the chamber (13), such that pressurized fluid can flow into the chamber based on a pressure difference between the container (5) and the chamber (13), and the piston (17) is adapted to seal the valve body (3) when being in the upper position.
