Abstract: A trimmer comprises two counter-rotating barrels side-by-side above one cutting reel. When viewed from the front, the left barrel rotates counter-clockwise while the right barrel rotates clockwise. Plant material in the barrels accumulates on the uphill side of each barrel, relative to its rotational direction, as the plant material traverses the rotating barrels. This configuration positions the uphill sides of both barrels proximate to the one reel. The barrel perforations are rifled to assist in moving the plant material through the barrels. Screw jacks are employed to tilt the trimmer; hardware facilitates use of two such trimmers in series.

Abstract: A low energy mechanical operating cartridge has an inner regulator core (13) supporting a projectile (21) slidably engaged in a primer casing (19). The regulator core acts to control the velocity at which the projectile is propelled from a firearm (61), and the primer casing carries the explosive propellant (25) necessary to generate the required energy to launch the projectile. To improve the operation of the cartridge and ejection of the cartridge from the firearm, the primer casing is configured to efficiently slide on the regulator core in a rearward recoil action, while robust gas seals are maintained between the casing and regulator core.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to propellant gas initiation of a non-pyrotechnic projectile tracer. In some embodiments, cartridge-propellant gasses act upon a piston to break a frangible chemiluminescent liquid chemical ampoule to initiate a luminous reaction independently of and prior to any projectile motion. The piston may be a distinct piston, a separate component functioning as a piston, or the overall tracer container acting in the manner of a piston. Embodiments of the disclosure are applicable to direct-fire ammunition ranging from small arms through large caliber main battle tank ammunition.
