Abstract: A pipe coupling has a lashing ring, a fastening screw and a gap shield. The lashing ring is mounted around a junction where two pipes are telescoped together. The fastening screw fastens two ends of the lashing ring. The gap shield is mounted on an inner surface of the lashing ring and covers a gap defined between the two ends of the lashing ring. With the gap shield covering the gap, when a fluid with high pressure flows through the pipes, the pipes do not deform at a part corresponding to the gap. Consequently, the fluid does not leak from the gap.

Abstract: A generating apparatus for generating electrical power from a horizontal water flow comprises a fixed hub on a support structure and a power wheel arranged for rotation about a vertical axis about the hub. The power wheel includes rotor vanes adapted to cause rotation of the power wheel when the power wheel is subject to a substantially horizontal water flow. One or more generators are provided on the hub to produce electrical power output from rotation of the power wheel relative to the hub. A shroud is rotationally mounted on the hub and arranged to cover at least some of the rotor vanes of the power wheel, so that the water flow is concentrated on the rotor vanes on one side only of the power wheel. A directional controller holds the shroud in a predetermined rotational position relative to the hub dependent on the direction of the water flow.

Number of new inventions are described. The most unique is delivery of central super cold air via a duct. This feature will be a pull through thread to enhance all the three sources of energy in a tornado. It is a low cost construction device using present day, available technology. When Placed near an user community it will have low cost of transmission. It will use waste heat for cheaper cost of production. It would be a demand controlled production, conserving resources when electricity not needed and be able to produce more when needed. Thus it will be a win for the investors for better returns on investment by avoiding wasteful unpaid production, and a win for the communities providing more electricity when needed.

The second visor (50), having pivotal device (56) on support rod (54), can be easily connected to the first visor (20) support rod (24) to provide pivotal movements between the windshield and side window. These visors, first and second, can be moved together or separately to stored positions, windshield and side window blocked positions, or combinations of both positions to provide window protection from glare quickly and easily for windshield, side window, or both. Also support rod of the visor can be made of flexible material, like gooseneck arm, to further provide flexible adjustments of visor to desired positions to block glare from different angles or positions of vehicle window. This adjustable visor system can be applied to a single sun visor system or multiple visors system.
