Abstract: A metal nanonetwork includes metal nanostructures that are joined by metallic bond. The joined part between the metal nanostructures includes a fillet part. In the joined part between the metal nanostructures, the distance between the central axis of one metal nanostructure and the central axis of another metal nanostructure is smaller than the sum of the radii of both metal nanostructures. Abstract: A sonic drill head comprising an outer housing, an isolation system, a sine generator and a spindle. The sine generator generates a linear sinusoidal vibration force through the rotation of a plurality of eccentric masses. The sine generator is configured to translate the linear sinusoidal force to the spindle in a direction corresponding to the spindle's axis of rotation. The sine generator supports the spindle within the housing such that the spindle is free to rotate about the spindle axis. The spindle is generally a hollow tube section thereby allowing the passage of drilling fluid, mud, cuttings, and/or tooling. The isolation system generally reduces the transfer of the vibration force generated by the sine generator to the outer housing, yet is able to transfer an applied thrust force from the outer housing to the sine generator.

Abstract: In a structure for mounting a battery pack on a vehicle, even if a battery case housing a plurality of batteries is disposed beneath a floor panel, due to an internal cable within the battery case being disposed above the batteries, it is possible to prevent the internal cable from becoming wet. Furthermore, if the internal cable disposed above the batteries were connected to an external cable via a high voltage connector without changing the height, the height of the floor panel would increase to thus constrain the vehicle compartment space, but since the high voltage connector is disposed at a position that is lower than the upper end of the battery, it is possible to decrease the height of the floor panel by disposing the external cable at a low position, thereby ensuring the vehicle compartment space.

Abstract: A system and method to disable a motorized vehicle includes a modified police radar/laser gun, a black box, which stops a vehicle by shutting down the electrical system or by other means known in the art when activated by the modified police radar/laser gun. The black box is attached to the motorized vehicle and is activated by the modified police radar/laser gun during a chase or other emergency situation. The black box is tamper proof so that any attempt to remove or otherwise tamper with it will disable the vehicle so that it will not start. A system according to the present invention works on automobiles, trucks, buses, eighteen wheelers, recreational vehicles, motorcycles and boats. Starting the vehicle readies the system.

Abstract: A power-train is provided for a driven, steerable axle of a motor vehicle. To reduce the size of the turning radius of the vehicle, the power train includes a left drive shaft that is fixedly connected in terms of drive to a left steerable wheel; a right drive shaft that is fixedly connected in terms of drive to a right steerable wheel; and a drive unit configured between the drive shafts for driving the drive shaft; the drive shafts being configured as articulated shafts, each having a wheel-proximal articulated joint and a wheel-distal articulated joint; and said articulated joints each having at least one axis of rotation with the same orientation for all articulated joints. The drive unit is designed for transmitting an electromotively generated torque to the drive shafts, and having a body suspension that allows the drive unit to rotate relative to the body about a swivel axis that extends in parallel to the axes of rotation having the same orientation.

An engine cooling module (33) serves for cooling the engine (32) and it is attached to the vehicle frame (31) at a rear end. In a top plan view, the cab (1) has a projection portion projecting outward from the vehicle frame (31). The cab (1) has a through hole (12a to 12c) opening into an outdoor space of the cab (1) and an opening (3b) communicating with the through hole (12a to 12c) and opening into an indoor space (10), and the through hole (12a to 12c) opens in a lower surface of the projection portion. Thus, a work vehicle capable of preventing dust, water, or the like from entering the cab and realizing an environment in the cab comfortable for an operator is obtained.
