Abstract: The inventive concept is directed to a device used for scrubbing or polishing items. The device is contained in a housing that contains a mechanism for creating an oscillating motion. A scrubbing or polishing pad is attached to a circular disc which is driven in an oscillating manner by said mechanism. The circular disc is mounted on a support plate which is attached at bottom of said housing in a laterally pointing position. Said support plate is mounted to said housing at an obtuse angle relative to said housing. This enables an operator of said device to obtain a clear view of the ongoing procedure.

Abstract: A motor vehicle washing system washing brush construction, having a plurality of washing brushes associated with a support tube, each said washing brush having a plate body die-cut so as to form thereon a plurality of cuts providing a corresponding plurality of contoured strips joined by a central band element, with the central band element being wound on the support tube to arrange the contoured strips on both sides of the central band element, with a pair of ring elements being threaded on the support tube, on both sides of washing brush, to clamp the central band element in order to move the support tube contoured strips away from one another and cause opposite strips to move toward another, by pairs, thereby arranging the opposite strips with a substantially 90° relationship to the support tube axis.

Abstract: A manual device for cleaning surfaces that can be operated with one hand has an integrated spraying unit, a reservoir for a cleaning fluid that can be sprayed using the spraying device, and a cleaning element that is suitable for wiping the surfaces to be cleaned. The manual device has a pen-like or flat rectangular shape, and the cleaning element is a hydrophilic microfibre cloth (4), comprising a flat cleaning surface, which is connected to the manual device and arranged longitudinally thereupon. The manual device is also advantageously multi-functional and has, in addition to its cleaning function, at least one additional function in the form of a pen tip (5) for operating temperature-sensitive display devices and/or a laser diode (6) for use as a laser pointer.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a wiper rubber (10) for a windshield wiper, comprising a wiper rubber substructure (1) with a wiper lip section (2) and a reinforcement section (4), the wiper rubber substructure (1) being uncoated and being formed from ethylene-propylene-diene rubber and/or ethylene-propylene rubber. In order to improve the wear resistance, wiping characteristics and wiping quality of the wiper rubber (10), the surface of the wiper rubber substructure (1) at least in a partial region (2c, 2c?) of the wiper lip section (2) has been treated with ultraviolet radiation. The present invention further relates to a process for producing a wiper rubber, to a correspondingly produced wiper rubber and to a windshield wiper equipped therewith.

Abstract: A wiper arm apparatus for preventing painted layer crack includes an arm head; a retainer coupled to one end of the arm head and provided rotatable relative to the arm head; and a rivet constituting a rotation axis by being disposed so as to penetrate through a coupling portion of the retainer and the arm head. The rivet includes a bearing unit slidingly contacting an inner circumferential surface of a through hole formed in the arm head, a head unit supported in contact with one side of the retainer, and a caulking unit fixed to the other side of the retainer with the bearing unit interposed where-between. The buckle bender tool positions a cut-off strap end within a buckle and deforms the buckle to secure the strap therein.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device and method for electromechanically roller burnishing a surface of a workpiece, in which precisely one current-guiding roller burnishing element for roller burnishing and one separate electrical contact element are used and, as the roller burnishing element is moved on the workpiece surface, said electrical contact element is guided thereafter such that a current path of a constant length is directed through the workpiece as roller burnishing takes place. The invention allows, in a cost-effective manner, a high surface quality to be achieved as well as a precisely-adjustable microstructural alteration to the upper layers of the workpiece.

Abstract: An installation tool for inserting a helical threaded insert into a tapped hole includes a driving mechanism, a series of mandrels and a series of head tubes. When a user wants to rebuild a broken tapped hole, the user can choose one mandrel and a related head tube with suitable size for rebuilding the broken tapped hole. Furthermore, a special threaded hole is defined in the head tube to reduce the size of the helical threaded insert for matching the broken tapped hole so that the user can rebuild the tapped hole easily.

Abstract: A scalpel blade remover comprises a housing, and a planar member mounted in the housing with a longitudinal slot therein. A slider is adapted to slide along the planar member, and has an opening for receiving a portion of a tang therein. The slider is movable along the planar member when pressed by the tang being inserted into the opening and moved along the slot, with the blade being located under the slider. Movement of the slider along the planar member causes the planar member to separate the rear end of the blade from the tang. A stop formation on the planar member engages the rear end of the blade after it has been separated from the tang and prevents the blade being withdrawn along the member. Upon withdrawal of the tang, the blade is stripped from the tang.

Abstract: A method of attaching a nut to a panel includes forming an aperture in a sheet metal panel by lancing a tab from the sheet metal panel. A root of the tab remains attached to the panel. The method further includes pressing a self-attaching nut into the aperture to attach the self-attaching nut to the sheet metal panel. The tab is bent to substantially prevent material from entering a bore of the nut from a blind side of the panel.

Abstract: The invention uses a strap to provide a way to associate a first item with a second item. The first item may be, for example, a high chair and the second a toy. The strap is provided with two sets of openings one near each end of the strap, and a tab, post, “T” or other shape near each end of the strap. The shape is inserted through one of the openings and is secured there by its shape, the shape of the opening, and the material with which that portion of the strap is made. The strap is made of nontoxic material and at least in part of material that is flexible and resilient, having a durometer reading of between about 40 and 60 Shore A. Abstract: Resin-based lighting fixtures provide both light and a desirable aesthetic. The resin-based lighting fixtures include a plurality of propellers having curved resin strips that at least partially conceal a light source. The resin strips can form any number of aesthetically pleasing configurations, such as, for example, a blossom. The resin strips can be transparent or translucent. When lit, the light source can illuminate the resin strips.

Abstract: A die button for installation of a nut to a panel includes a button body with a panel end, and a cavity defined therein. An aperture is defined in the panel end at a mouth of the cavity. A shearing edge is at a perimeter of the aperture to shear a tab from the panel when a shearing force is applied to the panel by the nut driven by a punch of a press. A relief is in a portion of the perimeter of the aperture to bend a root portion of the panel connecting the tab to the panel without severing the root when the nut applies the shearing force. A reaction member is slidably disposed within the cavity. A resilient member is disposed within the cavity to urge the reaction member toward the panel end, thereby bending the tab to contact the nut and seal a bore.

Abstract: An apparatus for assembling a positive seal coupling and a pipe, including a frame, a stationary block assembly attached to the frame and having coupling gripping doors, and a traveling block assembly slidably attached to the frame and having pipe gripping doors. Two hydraulic ram cylinders are attached to the frame that have ram cylinder rods attached to the traveling block assembly so that the hydraulic ram cylinders can move the traveling block assembly toward the stationary block assembly. The coupling gripping doors are axially aligned with the pipe gripping doors so that when the hydraulic ram cylinders move the traveling block assembly toward the stationary block assembly, a pipe held by the pipe gripping doors is inserted into a coupling held by the coupling gripping doors.

Abstract: In one embodiment the present invention includes a solar panel clamp system for mounting solar panels on ground-level and raised purlins. Such systems include left-handed and right-hand clamps that can be attached to opposite sides of solar panel assemblies that include mounting frames. Left-handed clamps can attach to the mounting frame of a solar panel and include surfaces that can rest on the top surfaces of purlins and include a lip or shelf surface onto which the right-handed clamps of a mounting frame of a neighboring solar panel can rest to increase the speed and safety of installing solar panels on raised purlins. Through holes in the left-handed and right-handed clamps can then be used as guide holes for drilling into the purlins. The majority of, if not all of, the solar panel installation using the clamps of the present invention can be completed from underneath the raised purlins.

Abstract: A hemming tool for forming a hem securing an outer panel to an inner panel. The hemming tool includes a hemming die that has a first portion of a forming surface with a first coefficient of friction and a second portion that has a second coefficient of friction that is greater than the first portion. A flange on the outer panel is initially engaged by the first surface to begin forming the hem flange toward the inner panel. The flange is engaged by the second hemming surface to continue forming the flange toward the inner panel. A method of hemming a sheet metal assembly including an inner and an outer panel is also disclosed that utilizes the hemming die that has a forming surface with a second coefficient of friction that is greater than the first portion to reduce flange creep and roll-in during a hemming operation.

A C-shaped mandrel extends around the pin and substrate end enabling the pin/mandrel to be used during the manufacturing process as an arbor to facilitate winding layers of a spiral jellyroll electrode assembly. The pin additionally extends from the battery case and in the final product constitutes one of the battery terminals with the battery case comprising the other terminal. Active material is removed from both sides of the outer end of the negative electrode in the jellyroll to allow room for adhesive tape to secure the jellyroll. The electrolyte is injected through the open end of the case after the endcap is welded to the negative electrode but before sealing the endcap to the case. The electrolyte is preferably injected through the C-shaped mandrel to facilitate and speed filling.

Abstract: A terminal crimping device includes crimp tooling defining a crimp zone configured to receive a wire and a terminal. The terminal is configured to be crimped to the wire by the tooling during a crimp stroke of the crimp tooling to from a crimped terminal. The crimp tooling includes an ultrasound module ultrasonically coupled to the crimp tooling and the wire and the crimped terminal when present. The ultrasound module transmits acoustic signals through the crimped terminal and the wire. The ultrasound module also receives echo acoustic signals being reflected back to the ultrasound module. The ultrasound module generates echo signals based on the echo acoustic signals. The terminal crimping device also includes a crimp quality module that receives the echo signals from the ultrasound module and determines a crimp height of the crimped terminal based on the reflected echo acoustic signals received by the ultrasound module.

Abstract: A plant including: an assembly line along which a plurality of pallets are circulated in a closed loop, divided into a first section, where the pallets are loaded in a plurality of first stations with mechanical parts to be assembled, and into a second section, where the pallets advance along a plurality of second stations; a conveyor arranged at least partially parallel to and above the second section, along which a plurality of balance supports provided with bodies run; a coupling station, arranged immediately upstream of the second section, where the pallets are integrally coupled to the balance supports; and a decoupling station, where the pallets are separated from the balance supports; each pallet having selectively engageable and releasable fastening means for a balance support and elastic means able to receive the balance support resting thereon.
