Publication number: 20150096844Abstract: An elevator positioning system includes an optical tape, optical tape clips, and a sensor. The optical tape clips are mountable to various structures within the hoistway. A crossbar of the optical tape clips is located between a sensor and optical tape such that the sensor detects an interruption in the optical tape and signals the detection to an elevator controller. The elevator car can then be controlled to align evenly with the landings associated with the hoistway. Another elevator positioning system includes a sensor and a reflector clip assembly. The reflector clip assemblies are mountable to various structures within the hoistway. A reflector target of the reflector clip assemblies faces the sensor such that the sensor detects the reflector target and signals the detection to an elevator controller. Publication number: 20150096886Abstract: A system for hydrogen gas enhancement of hydrocarbon fuel combustion employs a closed electrolyzer vessel into which water is circulated, and an electrode plate assembly immersed in the vessel to dissociate water into hydrogen and oxygen gases. Only water is used as the electrolyte fluid without any additives. An air injector in the water return line injects air bubbling for enhanced dissociation of water in the electrode plate assembly. The electrode plate assembly is formed by one or more unit stacks of 7-plates each, including two outer cathode plates, a middle anode plate, and two spaced inner plates between each cathode plate and the anode plate. The generated hydrogen and oxygen gases are maintained in a stable condition in the output gas flow by an electromagnetic coil assembly that separates the hydrogen gas from oxygen gas. The system can obtain 180% reduction in hydrocarbon fuel usage in a vehicle engine, and 20 times reduction in carbon emission from vehicle exhaust.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 6, 2014Publication date: April 9, 2015Inventor: Tasos Aggelopoulos

Publication number: 20150096888Abstract: A blood glucose test device with viewing lens seal includes a meter body rigid portion of a first polymeric material and an opening. A resilient portion of a second polymeric material more compressible than the first polymeric material integrally connected to the rigid portion defines a rigid portion outer covering. A resilient portion edge extends beyond the rigid portion and partially into the opening about a perimeter of the opening. A transparent polymeric material lens has an outer perimeter surface in contact with the resilient portion edge. Multiple flexible arms extending from the lens each have a hook member. Each hook member engages a receiving member positioned in a meter body and is retained by multiple backup ribs. Hook member engagement at a locking position pulls the lens toward the edge partially compressing the second polymeric material and creating a fluid seal between the perimeter surface and edge.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2013Publication date: April 9, 2015Applicant: Roche Diagnostics Operations, Inc.Inventors: Christopher L. Publication number: 20150096892Abstract: In described embodiment a method and an apparatus are provided for blood characterization. A closed loop electrical circuit employs as part of the circuit, a time varying resistive path that is made out of blood constituents and other chemicals. As the blood characteristics are changing, the resistance of the electrical path is also changing. The resistance change over a predefined time window is used to determine the blood thickness information. The resistance value change over another predefined time window is used to determine the blood density information. Presence as well as absence of blood constituents is determined from the resistance change over a pre-defined time window.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 3, 2013Publication date: April 9, 2015Inventors: Fahim U.
