Abstract: A cardiopulmonary protective garment for providing limited protection from lightning is fabricated of a waterproof/breathable fabric, such as a Gore-Tex® laminate or equivalent. The garment keeps a wearer's body dry and supports a lightning flashover event when moist or wet on the outside, protecting the cardiopulmonary system. Strips of an electrically conductive fabric, such as Shieldex® or equivalent, can be attached in various arrangements on a posterior outer surface of the garment for igniting a rapid flashover. The conductive strips also provide attractive design details. In some embodiments, an inner heat shielding and flame resistant layer, made of a fabric such as NOMEX® or equivalent, can increase protection against burning caused by lightning and a flashover.

The garment may include one or more padding strip members on the anterior, dorsal, and/or top surfaces and positioned over those areas of a wearer's body contacted by a weight bar or barbell when performing certain lifts. A padding strip member may comprise a hollow member into which is placed a cushioning member configured to absorb or dissipate an impact. The outer surface of a padding strip member may be configured to prevent slippage while the bar or barbell is held in contact with the outer surface. The garment may be manufactured from one or more stretchable materials such that the garment fits snuggly against a wearer's body, and the one or more padding strip members are configured to allow for unimpeded movement while performing weightlifting or other exercise activities.

The extension member allows movement of the body joint while protecting the joint from direct impact.

In another embodiment, the hand wear retention system has two anchors releasably mounted within the sleeves, each having a separate cord attached thereto, wherein the end of the cord has a cord lock which projects from the sleeve, wherein the cord lock has a fastener for engaging hand wear.

Abstract: A protective material that prevents cut and puncture injuries using two layers of metal mesh woven from 0.2 mm or less diameter wire, with apertures of 0.45 mm or less. The mesh layers are sandwiched between two, outer layers of fabric that are attached to each other, but not to the mesh. The two mesh layers are free-floating, held in place by being sandwiched between the outer layers, and can slide past each other, mitigating buckling when the material is bent. Protective gloves can be constructed using the material to cover over 60% of the glove's palm region, or cut to match a silhouette of a human hand. In another embodiment, the glove has fastenings at the extremity that loosely attaches the mesh layers to the outer fabric layers. The metal meshes can be spot glued at one or more locations to facilitate easier handling during assembly.

Abstract: A hair piece assembly has a two part construction that covers bald or thinning areas of a person's scalp. Natural hair of the person wearing the hair piece is utilized and interwoven with synthetic hair and natural hair portions of the hair piece so that the hair piece assembly is well blended, unnoticeable and not readily detected by others. A first portion of the hair piece assembly has a first attachment means integrated therein. The first portion is adapted to be placed on a head and attached thereto by way of the first attachment means. After being attached, the first portion is covered with natural hair on the head. A second portion of the hair piece comprises an entangled member having random entangled construction with a distal end and a proximal end. The distal end terminates at an edge and the proximal end gradually terminates the entangled construction to yield free unbraided hairs, which extend therefrom to thereby forming a flowing hair member.

The disclosure thus allows the user to have the tool attached to their shoe at all times so as to avoid carrying additional equipment while wearing the shoe.

The method comprises determining the extent of the hydrophobic field that extends beyond the physical edge of a particular treated intersecting member interwoven to form the material to determine the allowable size of an aperture, such that the extended hydrophobic field present on the intersecting members surrounding an aperture will be sufficient to prevent surface wetting and water permeability by fully overlapping the aperture or by presenting a reduced area effective aperture that precludes passage of water. In certain embodiments, the apertured material is provided with a liquid impermeable backing layer.
