Abstract: A method for producing an embossed pattern on a fabric sheet or a surface panel of a garment, and the final pattern piece made by this method. A fabric sheet is embossed with a pattern using an embossing die pair. A mesh interfacing sheet has resin elements fused to it in the same pattern by a similar embossing die pair. When the resin elements are in a pattern of singular, scattered motifs, the mesh interfacing sheet is cut in such a manner that all of the resin elements within the mesh interfacing piece are whole, and no resin elements touch or are close to the edges of the cut sheet. In the case of a continuous pattern, the closest distance between an edge of the mesh interfacing sheet and the final fabric pattern piece will be at least 0.5 inch. The cut mesh interfacing piece is aligned and fused with the embossed fabric piece, and the composite fabric piece is cut to make a final pattern piece.

Abstract: The invention comprises a method for improving efficiency of uhle boxes in the process of paper manufacturing. The essence of the invention is the use of a homogeneous mixture of superheated humid air in the press section of a paper machine. A very intense mixing of air and steam takes place in venturi injector which creates a uniform mixture, with appropriate composition and temperature, directed to a blowing nozzle. The mixture is then used in the forced flow through felt to a suction slot installed under the felt. The correct mixture composition ensures its minimum density, maximum speed and minimum time of flow through felt. It is important because the flow takes place when felt is running fast. The time ratio of the flow of homogeneous mixture of superheated humid air versus longitudinal movement of felt equals the actual working surface area of the suction slot. Extended working area directly influences the quality of felts conditioning and paper dewatering in the press section.

Dried cellulosic pulp is produced as an intermediate product of the method, having an average fibre length of at least 0.4 mm, while less than 50% of the primary wall material of natural untreated fibres is left in the intermediate product. Instead of transporting large amounts of dilute MFC dispersion the invention enables transport of the dry intermediate product to the MFC end user, who would complete the process by turning the intermediate product to final MFC by use of standard disintegrating devices.

At least one post and cylinder assembly are used to couple the lower extender frame to an upper extender frame at a pin that allows rotation of the lower extender frame relative to the upper extender frame. A vertical adjuster uses a drive rod with a pivoting attachment at the lower extender frame. An axis of rotation of the pin and an axis of rotation of the pivoting attachment are co-linear. Abstract: Methods and systems for a sink insert are described. The sink insert is comprised of an outer wall, a bottom portion and a cleaning surface. The outer wall is positioned to engage a sink at its drain. The bottom portion is fixed to the outer wall and extends radially inwardly from the outer wall toward a centerline of the drain, wherein the bottom portion defines an aperture through which fluids and, if present, solids flow from a sink basin to the sink drain. A cleaning surface is affixed to a top surface of the bottom portion such that the cleaning surface faces upwardly toward the sink basin.

Abstract: A toilet plunger device facilitates sealed engagement of a plunger around a trap opening in a toilet bowl. The device includes a shaft having a top end and a bottom end. A cup is coupled to the bottom end of the shaft. A bottom edge of the cup has an arcuate portion and a tip positioned opposite the arcuate portion wherein the bottom edge is teardrop shaped and configured for abutting a toilet bowl surrounding a trap opening in the toilet bowl forming a seal between the cup and the toilet bowl. Thus, movement of the cup relative to the toilet bowl produces pressure through the trap opening.

Abstract: The invention provides a flush free drain trap system. The trap of the invention may be used in any trap system intended to block a back flow of odors from the waste line. A sealant liquid floats on top of the waste liquid in the trap to block odors. The trap uses one passageway to pass liquids to the sewer line, similarly to a conventional drain system, for preventing overflow and allowing cleaning. A second passageway allows the trap to dispose of small amounts of the waste liquid through an opening and a valve operated by the buoyancy caused by the accumulation of waste liquid in the trap. In normal use, waste liquid is passed to the sewer line without loss of sealant liquid. Furthermore, the performance of the trap is not affected by the evaporation of the waste liquid when the trap is unused.

Abstract: A multi-seasonal lanai includes a rigid, metal support structure, or frame, that is installed against a building over a designated area in need of screened enclosure, such as a patio or pool. A plurality of retractable screen assemblies is slidably coupled to and selectively encloses the frame. A plurality of guide mechanisms serves to facilitate displacement of the screen assemblies between an extended position, in which the frame is substantially enclosed, and a retracted position, in which the frame is rendered open. A plurality of fixedly mounted, substantially enclosed, housing units retains the screen assemblies in a relatively compact configuration when retracted and thereby protects certain sensitive components, such as wire mesh screens, from potentially damaging elements that are prevalent in cold weather environments, such as snow and ice.
