Abstract: A heatable hair roller includes a roller shell and a removable heatable rod. The unheated roller shell is secured in the hair without risk of heating or burning the skin. The heatable rod is then inserted into the roller shell, and the heatable rod heats the hair by heating the roller shell. An optional roller strap secures the roller shell to the hair. An optional expansion sleeve increases the effective diameter of the heatable rod. An optional heating unit heats the heatable rod.

Abstract: The present invention features a cleaning swab for cleaning, disinfecting, and sealing underneath fingernails. The swab features an elongated shaft having a first end and a second end. A first swab is disposed on the first end of the elongated shaft. The first swab is impregnated with a solution with at least six of the following: keratin, equisetum arvense, carrageenan, aucoumea klaineana extract, ginseng root extract, vitamin C, and tea tree oil. The first swab has an oval cone profile with a hard sharp pointed tip and indentation grooves disposed on the lateral surface of the swab.

Abstract: A cosmetic applicator and method of manufacturing same, wherein the cosmetic applicator is formed of a substrate and an application element comprising one or more application areas that are cohesively maintained on the substrate in a gapless, side-by-side formation in the presence of wet and/or dry binders. The substrate is subjected to a wetting agent that provides a better bind for the cosmetic slurries as they are printed onto their respective application area. The cosmetic compositions of each cosmetic application area may be different. Various cosmetic effects may be provided to end-users in a portable application.

Abstract: The instant application provides methods and systems for applying color to eyebrows and skin at locations where an eyebrow should be. A crème-to-powder formulation is used to apply the color. The crème-to-powder formulation includes a crème-to-powder base and pigmentation to provide a final color suitable for application as eyebrow makeup. A liquid sealant may be used to seal in the color once applied. Various kits are disclosed that include a crème-to-powder formulation and applicators.

Abstract: A cosmetics unit, in particular a mascara unit, that includes a storage container for storing the cosmetic to be applied, an applicator which in its stowed position preferably dips into the cosmetic, and a wiper device which wipes off a portion of the cosmetic picked up by the applicator during dipping. The wiper device consists of several wipers that produce a different wiping action and through which the applicator can be passed alternatively.

Abstract: A backpack may include a main body that defines a main compartment that may be accessed by a sealing mechanism. The backpack may also include a shoulder strap that is coupled to a first portion of the main body and coupled to a second portion of the main body, with the second portion of the main body distal the first portion. Abstract: An anatomically segmented backpack has an upper back region, a lower back region, and a hip belt region. The upper back region includes a shoulder strap joined to a pack load carrying portion and a thorax harness. The thorax harness extends in two opposite directions under each shoulder blade of the user. The lower back region is coupled to the upper back region and a hip region. A slide mechanism is located in the pack load carrying portion of the upper and lower back region. A load-bearing element is disposed within the lower back region, for transferring a load from the upper back region to the user's hips. The hip region is joined to a front section of the pack by a load bearing hip belt that extends around the user.

Abstract: Drink containers include a liquid container and a cap assembly removably coupled to the liquid container. Cap assemblies include a body that defines a drink outlet for dispensing drink liquid, and an operational assembly that is operatively coupled to the body and that has at least an open configuration permitting drink liquid to be dispensed and a closed configuration restricting drink liquid from being dispensed. In some embodiments, the operational assembly also has a cleaning configuration in which portions of the operational assembly are spaced away from the body of the cap assembly for cleaning. In some embodiments, the operational assembly is positioned predominantly on the exterior of the body of the cap assembly.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to wearable hydration apparatuses. In particular, embodiments of the apparatus are configured to be worn on a forearm of a user and provide hydration to the user via a mouthpiece connected to a bladder in the apparatus that is configured to hold liquid such that the liquid is displaced over the entire shape of the user's forearm. In preferred embodiments, the mouthpiece of the apparatus may be engaged through a biting or other action applied to the mouthpiece via the user's mouth.

The set of pivot arms is adapted to move the upper platform substantially in parallel with the lower platform between a fully raised position and a fully lowered position. A locking mechanism includes a plurality of perforations located in the primary pivot arm or the secondary pivot arm, a locking set fixed with respect to the upper platform or lower platform, the locking set including at least one anchor adapted to selectively engage at least one of the plurality of perforations, and a handle connected to the anchor by a linkage.

The support means (40) are defined adjacent the projections (32) and between the recesses moulded. Abstract: An adjustable shelving assembly includes at least two support rails, at least one geared rack provided in each of the at least two support rails, and an actuating mechanism placed adjacent to the at least one geared rack. The actuating mechanism is configured to support at least one shelf and facilitates movement of the at least one shelf along the at least two support rails. The actuating mechanism includes a pinion mating with the at least one geared rack, a plurality of permanent magnets mounted coaxially inside the pinion, ferromagnetic disks provided on either ends of the pinion, and a shaft placed axially in the pinion, connecting the permanent magnets. The permanent magnets magnetize or demagnetize the ferromagnetic disks when the shaft is rotated for locking or unlocking the at least one shelf.

Abstract: A stackable recycling system for trash segregation comprises a garbage bin for non-recyclable trash, a stackable recycling subsystem. The stackable recycling subsystem has a base recycling bin, a stackable recycling bin and a top recycling bin. All three recycling bins have the same base specifications such that they can be stacked and secured via a plural of joining clips connecting grooves disposed on the side surfaces of those recycling bins. The base recycling bin and stackable recycling bin have a front door which can be pivotably opened for the convenience of trash receiving. Both the stackable recycling subsystem and garbage bins have rollers such that they can function independently or joined together as a single unit.

Abstract: A convertible chair includes a base frame, a seat connected to the base frame through first, second, and third legs, a back support connected to the seat via first and second support arms, and at least one hinge assembly interconnecting the chair components. A user can pivot the back support between an upright chair position and a lowered table position wherein an upper surface of the seat and a back side surface of the back support form an essentially planar table surface. At least one locking mechanism can be utilized to selectively lock the back support in the upright position. Additionally, the chair can be folded into an essentially flat storage position. A table leaf is also provided to fit between two adjacent convertible chairs in the table position, to produce an extended table configuration.

Abstract: A supporting device is provided, which includes: a supporting arm having a gas spring and used for a display to be disposed thereon; a base for the supporting arm to be pivotally connected thereto; and an adjusting unit. The adjusting unit includes a worm disposed to the base and rotatable around its own axis; a shaft disposed to the base and separated from the worm; a worm wheel disposed around the shaft; and a connecting board having a fixing end fixed to the worm wheel and a pivot end pivotally connected to the gas spring. The pivot end and the shaft define a central line. Therefore, the worm is rotated to cause the worm wheel to rotate so as to cause the connecting board to pivot around the shaft, thereby adjusting the angle between the central line and the gas spring and hence the tilting angle of the gas spring.

Abstract: The invention is a tripod easel in which the first, second and third legs are elastically deformable in the forward and rearward directions between a first position and a second position. In the second position, the first and third legs define arcs in the forward direction and the second leg defines an arc in the rearward direction. In the second position, the three legs define a free-standing tripod. The first and third legs define rows of supporting holes that can support an artwork support apparatus, a cantilevered shelf, a palette holder, a paper towel holder or other accessories.

Abstract: An easy to install countertop edging system comprising a profiled edge strip is described. The rear mating surface of the edge strip includes an adhesion promoting material for attachment to the substrate. An optional channel on the bottom of the edge strip allows for incorporation of lighting elements and decorative materials, mechanical securing of the edge and application of tools and additional features. The countertop edge system may also include a stanchion rail. The profiled edge strip is attached to an edge of a countertop or other substrate by the stanchion rail and/or structural adhesive. Related methods using the edge strip and rail are also described.

Abstract: In order to provide an adjustment mechanism for the arm support of an armrest, which is particularly simple structurally and which also enables a particularly flat style of construction, a locking device is proposed for releasably locking the base platform and the carrier platform in different positions with respect to each other, said locking device comprising a transfer element, which is arranged between carrier platform and arm support and is connected to the base platform and which has first blocking elements for blocking the longitudinal adjustment of the arm support and second blocking elements for blocking the transverse adjustment of the arm support, and an actuating element, which is arranged between carrier platform and arm support and is provided with a control button for manual actuation and which has elements for simultaneously blocking or releasing the first and second blocking elements of the transfer element.

Abstract: A method of converting a recliner from manual actuation to powered actuation that includes providing a recliner having a frame, a recliner mechanism with a base coupled to the frame and a hinged linkage movably coupled to the base, and a manual actuator that releases the hinged linkage to move under an occupant-applied force. The method also includes disconnecting and removing the manual actuator from the recliner and, without disassembly of the recliner mechanism from the frame, removing a spring assist device extending between the hinged linkage and the base, installing a drive unit to the recliner mechanism, installing a power actuator on the frame with electrical communication to the drive unit, and establishing electrical communication between the drive unit and a source of electrical power, so that activation of the power actuator causes the drive unit to move the hinged linkage under powered actuation.

A seat includes a rear end pivotably connected to the connecting frame. An operative frame includes a rear end pivotably connected to the connecting frame. A sliding sleeve is mounted on a front end of the operative frame and is mounted around the guiding rod. At least one supporting plate includes a first end pivotably connected to the front end of the operative frame and a second end pivotably connected to a front end of the seat. When the backrest is moved backward, the connecting frame is actuated to move the operative frame and the seat forward, and the at least one supporting plate is moved to an extended position to move the front end of the seat upward.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for the movement of resting components of a sofa, an armchair or the likes, such as a headrest movable between a lowered position and a raised position, a back movable between a substantially erected configuration and a downwardly inclined configuration, a seat movable between a backward position and a forward position, and a footrest movable between a lowered, substantially vertical position and a raised position. Such a device comprises a telescopic member equipped with a movable portion controlled by a motor and able, jointly with further connection members, to place in reciprocal relation and to move said headrest, back, seat and footrest.

Abstract: A seating system adapted for use in stadium, auditorium, and/or theater-type settings. The system utilizes seat back pins, support beams, and anchors for installing seat backs in series and without requiring custom components to account for variability in dimensions. A method for installing seat backs provides the installer with multiple degrees of freedom when adjusting the position of a seat back being installed, including lateral positioning and rotational orientation.

Abstract: A height-adjustable backrest assembly includes a connecting member an upper end mounted between a positioning board having vertically spaced positioning grooves and a backrest movable relative to the positioning board in a vertical direction. A lower end of the connecting member is coupled to a seat or a base. A positioning button is pivotably mounted to the connecting member and has a positioning section biased by a spring to releasably engage one of the positioning grooves. A transfer groove below the bottommost positioning groove receives the positioning button when the positioning section of the positioning button disengages from the positioning grooves. The positioning button abuts against an abutment member on the connecting member to limit the positioning section in a position not aligned with the positioning grooves. The abutment section disengages from the abutment member when an abutment protrusion of the positioning board presses against the positioning section.

Abstract: A seating attachment for a vehicle trailer hitch features two metal bars, the main shaft and the cross member, each with a square cross section and capable of fitting into a standard vehicle trailer hitch mount. The main shaft and cross member are welded together in a “T” configuration. At the ends of the cross member, two seats mounted; the seats may optionally be positioned to face directly backward or be angled inward to face one another. Swivel-mounted seats are also contemplated. Additional mounting points are provided for a table top, an umbrella, beverage coolers, or other equipment. The height of the seats may be raised or lowered relative to the trailer hitch height by an angle piece in order to reach a comfortable sitting level.

Abstract: A reconfigurable support pillow comprising an elongate center section with a short, curved arm on each end. Between each of the arms and the center section is a substantially flat connecting section with inwardly curved side edges. This shape allows the pillow to be placed into several configurations. In a first configuration, the center section is bent and the connecting sections overlap each other without creating a thickened area at the point where the connecting sections cross. Additionally, the curved ends of the pillow arms can be overlapped providing an oval configuration with a double thickness at one side. Still further, the pillow can be used with the center section straight and curved arms turned inward towards each other. Each configuration provides different advantages and use. The pillow may comprise a washable cover with removable inserts.

Abstract: A feeding pillow is constructed of a pillow body that is generally defined by a medial region and two opposing arms. The medial region is configured to be placed near or adjacent a user's stomach, with the arms generally near or adjacent the user's sides. The pillow body has a top surface that is adapted to hold a baby and a bottom surface that is adapted to be placed on the user's lap. The pillow body further includes a fabric cover and a fill material disposed within the fabric cover. Also, a support member that is encased in a moisture protective covering is removably positioned at or above one of surfaces. Methods for using the pillow are also included.

Abstract: A protecting cover for an infant seat is disclosed. The seat cover overlays an infant seat and downwardly extends along the sides of the infant seat. The seat cover comprises an elasticized or drawstring bottom hem in order to be secured in place. The cover comprises an opening acting as a chimney allowing air circulation. The opening is generally located on the top portion of the seat cover, substantially over the position of the infant head. The infant seat cover comprises a pair of recloseable body flaps located between the periphery of the opening and the bottom of the infant seat. The cover fits over the upper perimeter of the infant seat and substantially covers the infant. The cover is designed with a multilayer semi rigid insulating material able to maintain its shape and not interfere with the infant's movements.

Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a restraint system for an infant support such as a highchair. The restraint system includes a restraining member adapted to pass through an aperture formed into the infant support. The restraining member includes a stop member selectively operable to pass through the aperture. Specifically, the stop member is configured to pass through the aperture when in a first orientation relative to the slot, but cannot pass through aperture when positioned in a second (e.g., opposite) orientation relative to the slot. With this configuration, the unintended separation of the restraint system from the infant support may be prevented. Additionally, with this configuration, the accidental tightening of the shoulder straps on a restrained child by a sibling pulling on the straps from behind the seat is also prevented.

Abstract: A baby harness is designed to concentrate the infant's weight on the waist and hips rather than on the neck and shoulder area, which is typical of conventional baby harnesses. This design enables the parent to remain active in terms of being hands-free and allowing bending from the waist. The harness secures the baby to the parent's lower back/waist/buttocks area by two cooperating tapered belt components which are extensions of the harness itself. The seat component of the harness comprises a concave enclosure providing bottom, back and head support. The seat component has bilateral extensions containing four openings through which the infant's arms and legs project, thereby securing both the upper and lower body of the child while also allowing free movement of the baby's limbs.

Abstract: An improved bassinet frame for an infant playard comprising a plurality of structural members configured to nest within a playard top frame top and rest upon supports on corner members of the playard frame. The bassinet frame includes a pair of spaced-apart, parallel side members connected by a pair of perpendicularly aligned uplift preventing end members. The bassinet frame end members extend beneath playard frame end members when the bassinet frame is deployed for use such that the playard end frame members inhibit uplift of the bassinet frame. The side members each further include a joint positioned approximately midway along the respective lengths allowing the bassinet frame to be folded along an axis parallel to its width. Folding the bassinet frame retracts the end members from beneath the playard end frame members and allows the bassinet frame to be removed from the playard.

Abstract: A system for creating decorative arches and columns of balloons or fabric without the need of helium balloons. The system comprises a baseplate to provide a foundation, a mounting pin upon which a starter pole can be mounted, and a plurality of extension poles to attach to the starter pole to create a column or arch of a desired length. Regular balloons without the need for helium can be tied to the poles as decorations creating an arch or column of balloons.

Abstract: An adjustable multifunctional clamping unit which allows a user to secure various apparatus such as cutting boards and work boards to provide additional workspace surfaces, also allows a user to secure various organizational and storage apparatuses such as containers to various surfaces and fixtures to provide space saving organization and storage solutions. The clamping unit may be configured to be secured to a work surface such as a cutting board such that the apparatus allows for attachment of a convenient and secure container for brushing items off of the cutting board and into a container. Another embodiment may include an adjustable clamping unit configured to secure a working board surface in an elevated position above a flat work or storage surface. A further embodiment may include an adjustable clamping unit configured to secure a working board or cutting board above a void created by an open drawer.

Abstract: A bag rack, method and system for reducing the time needed to open a bag and have it ready for use at a checkout terminal or other station where the time required to opening a bag is critical. The rack allows a bag to be opened with one hand using a single upward and forward motion.

Abstract: A method of loading stacked strainers in a dispenser while minimizing strainer contamination is disclosed. The method includes providing a stack of strainers that is enclosed in a protective material to form a pod, placing the pod within a dispenser, and removing the protective material from the pod of strainers while the strainers are in the dispenser. The strainers dispensed from the thus loaded dispenser avoid being contamination during loading. The protective material may be perforated to facilitate removal from the stack, and include an extended portion to be grasped during removal from the dispenser.

Abstract: One embodiment provides a method and apparatus for suspending air conditioning duct works from a support structure comprising unistrut type support beams which apparatus includes a plurality of support brackets arranged and configured for being slidably interlockable with the interior of the unistrut beam members. The support brackets can be slid inside the interior of the support beam until adjacent a support beam which support beam can be connected to the support bracket. In like manner additional support brackets can be inserted into the interior of the support beam members to be adjustably located next to their respective support rod. In such manner multiple support rods can be used to support a frame member even where the support rods are not symmetrically located along the length of the support beam as the support bracket can be slid/moved inside the support beam until lining up with its respective support rod.

Abstract: A stirrer dispenser for beverage dispensing machines includes a first channel for containing a stack of stirrers. The first channel includes a first opening from which single stirrers are extracted and ejected by an ejector provided with an alternating movement. The ejector includes an engagement member where single stirrers are engaged and ejected from the first opening at each stroke of the ejector. The dispenser further includes a second channel with a second opening. The second channel is located next to the first channel. The first and second openings are side by side along the movement direction of the ejector. In addition, the dispenser includes a stroke delimiter that limits the stroke of the ejector when at least one stirrer is present in the first channel, so that the ejector picks up the stirrers from the second channel only when the first channel is empty.

The pillow comprises a left, right and center compartment with a generally concave anterior face comprising a first curvature and a second curvature and a web there between configured such that the height of the first curvature is greater than the height of the web but lower than the height of the second curvature. The pillow comprises a generally flat posterior face. The center compartment may be further configured such that the height of each of the first curvature, the web and the second curvature of the center compartment are less than the corresponding heights of the analogous portions of the left and right compartments. The compartments may be covered in a material that is comprised of cotton. The pillow may be filled with a blend of different sizes of shredded latex.

The force applied by users to push the protrusive latch portion to open the cover sheet and expose the drinking orifice also is reduced.

Each of a plurality of outer cups extends into the upper surface and through the panel for holding additional beverage containers.

Abstract: A space saving hanger comprises a frame for supporting a garment, the frame including a first arm portion and a second arm portion, the first and second arm portions extending outwardly and downwardly from a central portion of the frame; and a hook attached to the central portion, the hook including an extended position and a folded position, the hook extending upwardly from the central portion when in the extended position, and the hook extending downwardly from the central position when in the folded position.

The second device may be biased in a closed state wherein the first section of the second device, the first device, and the third device are aligned with each other. While in the closed state, the closed loop cannot be removed from the apparatus without breaking the apparatus. The second device can be placed in an open state by applying a force, which does not break the apparatus; and in the open state, the closed loop can be removed from the first section.

Abstract: A system device for use in assisting in the donning of hosiery by elderly or handicapped persons. The device comprises at least two releasably grasping elements configured to separately releasable grasp the sides of an article of hosiery adjacent an open end thereof. The grasping elements are solidly affixed to respective elongated pulling elements of a length to enable a donner of the article of hosiery to position the article of hosiery over a foot with minimal reaching, bending or stretching of arms, legs or body and wherein the pulling elements are configured to enable the donner to pull the article of hosiery onto the foot into a donning position.

Abstract: A magnetic window valance is disclosed. The magnetic window valance can include a sheet of ferromagnetic material, and a decorative layer disposed about the sheet of ferromagnetic material. The magnetic window valance can also include a curtain rod coupling portion extending in a first direction from the decorative layer, and a tab extending in a second direction from the decorative layer and supporting a magnet configured to couple with a proximal magnetic window valance.
