A leg support is pivotally attached to a cross bar, and a slotted bracket is attached to another cross bar. A bolt with a conical washer is attached to a first end of a diagonal strut, and the second end is pivotally attached to the leg support. The diagonal strut is attached to the slotted bracket by inserting the bolt into a rounded slot and by pressing the conical washer down into a round opening of the rounded slot using a wing nut. The round opening is disposed at the end of a channel whose width is slightly larger than the diameter of the bolt. The diameter of the round opening is larger than the width of the channel and smaller than the largest diameter of a coned portion of the conical washer.

Abstract: The present invention provides a neutral spine support system that includes a lower body bolster, an upper body supporter and an optional coverall. The lower body bolster includes a raised leg supporter, a leg spacer and a pelvic supporter, while the upper body supporter includes a back support, a neck rest, a head cradle, a right head support and a left head support. The raised leg supporter supports the legs in a raised-knee position, and includes cutouts to reduce direct knee pressure. The pelvic supporter supports the user's pelvic region and rotates the sacrum base upwards while avoiding direct sacrum pressure. The back support keeps the user's upper and middle spine in an open and neutral position.

Abstract: A method and system is provided for calibrating a mattress having a fluid filled cell to in part provide support for the mattress. A database has data about support characteristics of the mattress depending upon an amount of fluid in the fluid filled cell. The fluid may be air or water. A server is configured for communication with the database and a client computer via a network. The server includes a memory in which an application is stored. The application comprises a user sleep characteristic processing module and a mattress calibration calculation module. The server may receive user sleep characteristic data, and based thereon, access the database to retrieve mattress calibration data and communicate the mattress calibration data to the client computer.

Abstract: A furniture element is characterized in that it comprises a first flexible inner envelope (30) defining therein a first volume (22) adapted to receive a material comprising a fluid with a first density and a second flexible outer envelope (10), the inner envelope and the outer envelope defining together a second volume (21) surrounding the first volume (22) and adapted to receive a second material comprising a fluid and flexible particles with a second density higher than the first density, a first closable port (40) for entry or exit of fluid into/from said first volume, opening to the outside, and a second closable port (50) for the entry or exit of fluid into/from said second volume, opening to the outside. The invention can be used in particular for improving the comfort and facilitating the transportation of large volume seat-type or cushion type elements (typically from 0.2 to 1 m2) for outdoor use (terraces, swimming pools, etc.).

Abstract: A cooler cabinet comprises: a storage compartment (130) for food or beverage products (130); a dispensing mechanism (143) for dispensing the food or beverage products (144) from the storage compartment without opening the storage compartment to ambient air; a water-retaining material (120) outside the storage compartment but in contact with it; an air channel (111) in contact with the water-retaining material; and means (114) for moving air through the air channel such that the air increases the rate of evaporation of water from the water-retaining material. It thereby withdraws heat from the water-retaining material and causes cooling of the interior of the cabinet, including the food or beverage products.
