Abstract: A compact having a protrusible and retractable puff includes a lower case having a spring seated therein, an upper case having a seating section and a guide section which extend downward through a central portion, a puff assembly fitted into the seating section, the puff assembly having a puff member fixed to a lower portion, a lift fitted into the guide section, and an inner dish positioned on top of the lift. The puff assembly has a switch and a battery. The puff member is coupled to a separate elastic moving body coupled to the puff assembly. A vibrator is accommodated inside the elastic moving body. The puff assembly is coupled to and separated from the upper case, protrudes upward from the upper case under repulsive force of the spring, such that the puff member vibrates when the vibrator is operated by the switch.

A bi-directional body structure has a central hub and first and second inner body members projecting in opposite directions. A first elevator member can be extended and retracted by a relative rotation between the first spiral member and the first inner body member, and a second elevator member can be extended and retracted by a relative rotation between the second spiral member and the second inner body member. The elevator members can be elevator cups for retaining cosmetic pomades and can have opposed lugs that project through longitudinal tracks in the inner body members.

The lock is operably engageable with the upper groove of the can to removably secure the holder and can to one another. The clip is operably engageable with a belt or article of clothing. The holder preferably further includes a magnet located on the lock for magnetic engagement with a ferrous bristle binding of a paint brush to suspend the brush within about an interior of the can. In another embodiment, the paint can holder is adjustable to accommodate the holding of various sizes of the paint.

Abstract: Exercise devices, and related components and methods are provided. In one embodiment, an exercise device is provided having a frame, treadmill deck and a desk. The treadmill deck is movably coupled with the frame and selectively positionable between a first position wherein a user may run or walk on the treadmill deck, and a second position wherein the deck is placed in a stored position. The deck defines a running path when in the first position. The desk may move between multiple positions, including a first position wherein the desk is placed toward a front portion of the running path, and may even be positioned over a portion of the running path (or at least over a portion of the deck), and a second position where the desk is moved out of the running path. The desk may be adjusted as to height and inclination also.

Abstract: An adjustable shelving assembly includes at least two support rails, at least one geared rack provided in each of the at least two support rails, and an actuating mechanism placed adjacent to the at least one geared rack. The actuating mechanism is configured to support at least one shelf and facilitates movement of the at least one shelf along the at least two support rails. The actuating mechanism includes a pinion mating with the at least one geared rack, a plurality of permanent magnets mounted coaxially inside the pinion, ferromagnetic disks provided on either ends of the pinion, and a shaft placed axially in the pinion, connecting the permanent magnets. The permanent magnets magnetize or demagnetize the ferromagnetic disks when the shaft is rotated for locking or unlocking the at least one shelf.

Abstract: Described is a pillow holding device for use in holding a number of pillows in a stacked orientation. The device includes a flat, rigid base on which pillows can be stacked. The base can have any of a variety of shapes including a square or circular shape. The base includes a number of posts thereon that are arranged about the periphery of the base. The posts help to maintain the pillows in a stacked configuration on the base, and prevent the pillows from falling off of the base. The base is supported above the ground by a number of legs. A second base may be disposed above or below the first base so as to serve as a shelf. The device may include a basket removably secured to the posts, and may include decorative toppers for each post.

Abstract: A bed frame assembly has diagonal struts that lock leg supports into place using novel locking mechanisms. A leg support is pivotally attached to a cross bar, and a slotted bracket is attached to another cross bar. A bolt with a conical washer is attached to a first end of a diagonal strut, and the second end is pivotally attached to the leg support. The diagonal strut is attached to the slotted bracket by inserting the bolt into a rounded slot and by pressing the conical washer down into a round opening of the rounded slot using a wing nut. The round opening is disposed at the end of a channel whose width is slightly larger than the diameter of the bolt. The diameter of the round opening is larger than the width of the channel and smaller than the largest diameter of a coned portion of the conical washer.

The back support keeps the user's upper and middle spine in an open and neutral position.

Abstract: A method and system is provided for calibrating a mattress having a fluid filled cell to in part provide support for the mattress. A database has data about support characteristics of the mattress depending upon an amount of fluid in the fluid filled cell. The fluid may be air or water. A server is configured for communication with the database and a client computer via a network. The server includes a memory in which an application is stored. The application comprises a user sleep characteristic processing module and a mattress calibration calculation module. The server may receive user sleep characteristic data, and based thereon, access the database to retrieve mattress calibration data and communicate the mattress calibration data to the client computer.
