  • Patent number: 9297629
Abstract: The invention is a contour standard, which consists of a body having a rotationally symmetrical calibration region. The rotationally symmetrical calibration region encompasses a plurality of non-cylindrical axial sections, which can be concave, convex, by forming a predefined angle as radial projection or as radial depression. The calibration region has at least one measuring section, which runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the body and which provides for axial calibration variables, as well as radial calibration variables. These calibration variables are compared with the sensed values to the calibration of a measuring instrument and the measuring instrument is adjusted based on the basis of the determined deviation. Due to the rotationally symmetrical calibration region, the contour standard is suitable both for the calibration of touch contour measuring instruments and also for the calibration of contour measuring instruments, which measure optically.

  • Patent number: 9297642
Abstract: This alignment device is furnished with an alignment light source for emitting alignment light, and is housed with a camera for example. The alignment light source emits alignment light, doing so, for example, coaxially with respect to the optical axis of light detected by the camera. The alignment light illuminates a substrate and mask, and reflected light is detected by the camera. A microlens array for exposure use is present between a mask alignment mark and a substrate alignment mark, whereby an erect unmagnified image reflected from the substrate alignment mark is formed on the mask. A control device then uses the mask alignment mark and the substrate alignment mark detected by the camera to perform alignment of the substrate and the mask. Abstract: An apparatus for detecting a 3D structure of an object. The apparatus has first and second laser emitters which generate laser radiation having first and second wavelengths, respectively, the first wavelength being different from the second wavelength. Optical devices are disclosed, including a beam splitter, which splits the laser radiation of the laser emitters in each case into a reference radiation and an illuminating radiation. A detector receives the interference patterns. The laser emitters are located such that the illuminating radiation of the first and second laser emitters impinge upon the object at different angles of incidence. Also discussed is a measuring device which measures the two wavelengths of the laser radiation of the laser emitters and influences the recording of the interference patterns.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include a sensor arrangement for inclination determination with respect to at least one axis. The sensor arrangement may include a code element having a code pattern and a line sensor, which is sensitive at least with respect to one wavelength range, having a reception direction orthogonal to its extension direction. In some embodiments the code element and the line sensor are arranged such that the extension direction of the line sensor and an extension direction of the code element are oriented in the same direction. The code element and the line sensor may be rigidly connected at a spacing of at least 1 mm and at most 10 mm such that a location, which is angle-dependent with respect to the reception direction, of a projection of the code pattern onto the line sensor can be determined by means of the line sensor.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is the use of Wi-Fi based location estimates of a mobile device to provide global offset corrections (including automated initialization) and enhanced navigation accuracy through delivery of heading corrections. In an embodiment, dead reckoning tracking data may be received for a tracked subject. The tracking data includes a plurality of tracking points forming a tracking path of the tracked subject. A Wi-Fi position system location estimate is also obtained. The Wi-Fi position system location estimate is one of a plurality of Wi-Fi position system location estimates correlated to the dead reckoning tracking data. And a tracking related parameter is determined based on the correlation of the dead reckoning tracking data to the Wi-Fi position system location estimate.

Abstract: A system determines parameters representing the orientation of a solid in movement within a first vector field and a second vector field. A first triaxial sensor and a second triaxial sensor are connected to the solid and measure the components of the respective vector fields along the axes of the sensors, obtaining corresponding first and second vectors. A processor determines the rotation matrix of the solid, using a correction module for delivering a first corrected vector, and calculating a third vector which is not coplanar to the plane formed by the first corrected vector and the second vector, such that the angles of the axis system formed by the third vector and the first corrected vector and the second vector remain constant.

Abstract: Adaptive navigation techniques are disclosed that allow navigation systems to learn from a user's personal driving history. As a user drives, models are developed and maintained to learn or otherwise capture the driver's personal driving habits and preferences. Example models include road speed, hazard, favored route, and disfavored route models. Other attributes can be used as well, whether based on the user's personal driving data or driving data aggregated from a number of users. The models can be learned under explicit conditions (e.g., time of day/week, driver ID) and/or under implicit conditions (e.g., weather, drivers urgency, as inferred from sensor data). Thus, models for a plurality of attributes can be learned, as well as one or more models for each attribute under a plurality of conditions. Attributes can be weighted according to user preference. The attribute weights and/or models can be used in selecting a best route for user.

Abstract: A method, system, and/or computer program product automatically generates route directions based on signpost data. A calculated route from an origin to a destination includes multiple decision points where a user has more than one option to take. Geo-stamped images of signposts located at each decision point from the multiple decision points are received, and one or more series of signposts is compiled, where each series has a common signpost content. Conflicts in any overlapping series are resolved by using a measure of relative density of signpost content, and one or more decision points of the calculated route are replaced with instructions referring to the common signpost content of the series of signposts. Geo-stamped images of signposts of the series of signposts having the common signpost content are then displayed in a motor vehicle.

Abstract: When a search condition is supplied, a road name drawing process acquires a target road name corresponding to a search target spot. The road name drawing process searches a plurality of display map datasets for character data corresponding to a plurality of scales and acquires a scale for a display map dataset whose character data contains the corresponding target road name. The road name drawing process performs a map drawing process using that scale. Namely, the process draws a map containing the search target spot so as to display the target road name corresponding to the search target spot. For this purpose, the process previously searches a plurality of display map datasets for character data and uses the display map dataset whose scale allows the character data to contain the target road name.
