Abstract: A mask has a mask body and a pair of ear straps. The mask body includes an outer layer sheet and an intermediate layer sheet. The outer layer sheet is formed of hydrophobic fibers. The intermediate layer sheet is laid on the outer layer sheet so as to be located on a wearer's side of the outer layer sheet when the mask is worn. The intermediate layer sheet includes a first fiber layer which is formed of polyolefin fibers containing an inorganic antimicrobial agent and a second fiber layer which is formed of polyolefin fibers and has a larger fiber diameter than the first fiber layer. The fiber diameter of the first fiber layer is within a range of 0.5 to 2.8 ?m and the ratio of a particle diameter of the inorganic antimicrobial agent with respect to the fiber diameter is within the range of 0.1 to 6.0.

Abstract: An invertible glove includes a hand portion having at least two digit portions configured to cover at least two digits of a hand of a wearer of the glove and a palm portion configured to cover a palm of the hand of the wearer of the glove. The hand portion includes an exterior surface for handling an object and an interior surface for abutting the hand of the wearer of the glove. The hand portion further includes a grasping element that extends from the interior surface of at least one of the digit portions and is configured to be grasped by a digit of the hand of the wearer of the glove for facilitating inversion of the glove when the hand is removed from the glove. A glove is inverted by pulling on the grasping element as the hand is removed from the glove.

Abstract: A glove is provided which may be adapted for use by a workman performing a variety of tasks such as sanding, buffing, polishing, waxing, scrubbing, cleaning, and drying, among others. In particular, it includes the typical features of a glove, such as palm, finger, and thumb compartments. It is additionally fitted with means for releasably securing a plurality of textured pads to the palmer surface of each compartment, and the texture of the pads may be chosen according to the workman's task at hand. The textured pads may also be placed in a particular manner on the surface of the glove so that a workman's dexterity and fine motor capabilities are not impeded during work. Moreover, prescribed arrangements may ensure that a workman is capable of optionally removing and replacing the textured pads on the surface of the glove without having to remove his hand from the glove itself.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a flame resistant thermal liner comprising a nonwoven sheet comprising nanofibers of a synthetic polymer having an limiting oxygen index of at least 21, a mean flow pore of 10 micrometers or less, a thickness air permeability of 25 to 6000 cubic feet per min?micrometers (12 to 2880 cubic meters per square meter per min?micrometers), and an average thickness T1; and a thermally stable flame resistant fabric attached to an outer surface of the nonwoven sheet, the fabric having an average thickness T2; a surface of the thermally stable fabric being in contact with a surface of the nonwoven sheet; wherein T1 and T2 are selected such that the ratio of T1 to T2 is less than 0.75. The invention also relates to a flame resistant composite fabric comprising the flame resistant thermal liner and a garment comprising this flame resistant composite fabric.

Abstract: A reversible locking garment closure includes male and female members each attached to an end of a garment. The male member has a pin at an acute angle and the female member receives the pin in a corresponding angled channel. The acute angle provides resistance to decoupling the male and female members, and allows the closure to function under high tensile stress. The male and female members are coupled via motion in a plane parallel to the front and rear faces of the closure, allowing the closure to be operable when worn in a reverse orientation. In an embodiment, the closure includes a locking mechanism which resiliently resists decoupling of the male and female members.

Abstract: A half head wig has an upper wig base, a lower wig base and a plurality of attachment means. The upper and lower bases are connected to each other, each holding hair pieces. The upper wig base extends to a vicinity of a frontal margin of the wig wearer's head, but it does not extend to a vicinity of bases of the wig wearer's ears such that wig wearer's temporal hair is exposed when the wig wearer wears the half head wig. The lower wig base sits on a nape of the wig user's head. A front attachment means is attached to a front peripheral edge of the upper wig base and a side attachment means is attached to side strips of the lower wig base. In addition, a bottom attachment means is attached to a rear portion of the lower wig base.

Abstract: A sharps protector is formed of a hard, pierce-resistant shell filled with a receptor material. One or two ends of the shell provide entry, and a center or end wall is a pierce-resistant barrier limiting pin push-through. The receptor material is set back at each entry end, thereby establishing a pre-entry pocket that prealigns the pin for accurate entry. Exterior surfaces of the protector are coded to indicate entry positions and barrier positions, using visual or tactile coding. Glow-in-the-dark or reflective material on the surface of the shell aids recovery of dropped protectors.

Abstract: A cloth drape for shading a wearer's neck and ears includes left and right semi-rigid support members, such as 3-5 mm plastic tubes containing a copper wire, supporting the top edge of the drape. Ends of the support members extend out of the front of the drape and are attached to left and right visor clips. The visor clips are clipped over the side edges of the visor and retain the support members at an angle approximately parallel to the visor edge around the outside of the cap. There is a gap between the support members at the back of the drape to allow tightening of the drape using a cord attached to the support members. To support the drape at the back of the cap, the drape has one or two Velcro strips attached to it that extend around the size-adjustment band in the back of a standard cap.

Abstract: The invention relates to personal protective means and specifically to helmets equipped with a built-in recording system, and can be used to prevent head injuries to motorcyclists and to people who engage in extreme activities. The helmet contains a rigid housing and, installed within the housing, a recording system. The housing is equipped with binding elements, cushioning elements and bullet-proof glass. The recording system is equipped with a camera. The camera lens is provided in the central portion of the helmet above the face area and does not protrude past the surface of the housing. The recording system includes a power source, which is built into the helmet housing, a control system, a recording device having built-in memory, a device for connecting an external memory card, and an electrical connector for connecting to external devices and/or to a power grid. Abstract: A protective helmet having a protective shell, a low friction layer, and a comfort liner is disclosed. The protective shell includes an energy absorbing material and an inner surface. The low friction layer is coupled to the inner surface of the protective shell. The low friction layer may be plastic having a thickness of less than approximately 3 mm. The comfort liner is removably coupled to the low friction layer opposite the protective shell, and includes a low friction material, such as brushed nylon, adjacent the low friction liner. The comfort liner may be removeably coupled protective shell with either clips that removably couple to receivers embedded in the brow of the helmet, with elastically deformable couplings that extend from the comfort liner to the protective shell, or both.

Abstract: A helmet including an insert provides the ability of including a highly energy absorbing feature within the insert. The insert includes a structure such as a Bingham plastic which, upon impact, absorbs the energy of the impact by converting from a solid to a liquid. Other energy absorbing features are contemplated. The energy absorption process occurs in one aspect in a nonreversible manner such that once a high enough level impact occurs on the insert, it must be replaced within the helmet. The insert has a fastener which enables it to b replaceable. In this manner, a highly absorbing feature of a helmet can be provided to reduce concussions while not requiring the complete replacement of a helmet.

Each of the slits is configured to expand and contract a corresponding shoe panel therethrough. An expansion button is disposed in the sole. A retraction button is disposed in a side of the sole, and a charging port is disposed in the sole.

Abstract: Waterproof, breathable socks, booties, shoe inserts, and footwear assemblies containing the shoe inserts are provided. The booties and shoe inserts include a laminate of a seamless ePTFE membrane and at least one textile. The bootie is conformable over a range of sizes and shoe shapes, and may be shaped to fit numerous sizes and shapes of asymmetrical shoe lasts. The bootie may shrink to fit, or, alternatively, be stretched to fit, an asymmetrical last having a desired size to form a shoe insert. Such a conformable bootie eliminates the need to have multiple sizes of shoe inserts correlating to particular shoe sizes. In embodiments where the ePTFE is seamless and continuous, the shoe insert eliminates the need for a waterproof seam tape, which is conventionally used to make shoe inserts waterproof. Methods of forming the socks, booties, and shoe inserts are also provided. Unique lasts and sock constructions are also provided.

Abstract: A method of forming a sole and a sole structure with shoe nails coupled thereto and the sole structure with the shoe nails are provided. The method includes pre-forming shoe nails, putting the shoe nails in an injection molding mold, injecting a thermally molten sole material into a mold in a manner that the sole material covers inner and outer surfaces of the shoe nails, and performing a cooling process whereby the sole material solidifies and turns into a sole which is then coupled to the shoe nails. The method enables a sole with shoe nails to be quickly manufactured so easily that it increases production efficiency and economic benefits.

According to the invention, the safety device includes a spacer being received between the cover flaps, the ends of the spacer abutting against the cover flaps so as to prevent lateral movement of the cover causing the clasp to unlock when pressure is simultaneously exerted both on a push-piece and on a flap of the cover opposite the push-piece.

A two-part cylindrical container is provided, with a thin membrane between the two compartments. The kit also provides a mascara wand and one or more pads pre-soaked with cleansing solution. The user twists the upper segment of the container, which ruptures the membrane to release the liquid into the lower compartment. The upper segment is removed, and the mascara wand is used to thoroughly mix the liquid with the paste. The resulting mixture is applied on clean eyelashes and eyebrows for 20 minutes, then removed using the pads.

Abstract: The invention discloses a paint brush comprising a hollow body having a first end opposing a second end and an inside and an outside. The invention also includes a handle having an inside and an outside, wherein the first end of the body is connected to the handle, and wherein the outside of the second end of the body is adapted for receiving a plurality of bristles. A plurality of bristles is attached to the outside of the second end of the body and a cavity is defined by the inside of the body and handle. The cavity is connected to the outside of the second end of the body by at least one channel. The invention also includes a removable cap covering an opening at a terminating end of the handle.
