Abstract: A hair care appliance including a body, and a handle having a first end in fluid communication with the body and a second end comprising a primary fluid inlet into the appliance wherein the primary fluid inlet includes a first aperture extending at least partially around the handle and a second aperture extending through the second end of the handle. The handle can include an end wall that is substantially orthogonal to the handle at the second end with the second aperture extending through the end wall. The first aperture may be adjacent the second end. The handle may include a fan unit for drawing fluid into the primary fluid inlet upstream of the primary fluid inlet. The first aperture may include a plurality of apertures extending at least partially around and along the handle. The second aperture may include a plurality of apertures extending through the handle end.

Abstract: The present invention relates to mechanical hair removal. In order to provide a handheld hair removal apparatus with improved detection of fine hair, a handheld hair removal apparatus (10) is provided that comprises a hair removal arrangement (12), a support structure (14) for supporting the hair removal arrangement, and a light source (16) attached to the support structure. During operation, a main movement direction (20) of the apparatus is provided. The hair removal arrangement comprises a skin contact portion (22) extending at least along a primary axis (24) extending perpendicularly to the main movement direction for contacting a user's skin during operation. Further, the light source can be arranged in an operational position (PO) at a side of the hair removal arrangement in front of the skin contact portion with respect to the main movement direction.

A lid is rotatably and directly mounted to the base, the lid being rotatable, relative to the base, between a closed position and an opened position. An intermediate tray is located between the base and the lid for accommodating the cosmetic article and covering the whole base, the intermediate tray being slidably mounted to the base so as to be movable relative to the base between a retracted position, in which the intermediate tray substantially covers the inner surface of the base, and an extended position, in which the intermediate tray exposes the inner surface of the base. The intermediate tray being further rotatably or slidably mounted to the lid so as to be movable relative to the lid. Rotation of the lid from the closed position to the open position causes the tray to slide from the retracted position to the extended position.

Abstract: A makeup palette and mixing surface device is described which includes a palette base comprising a hole and a mixing surface; at least one container attached to the palette base; and at least one lid removably connected to the at least one container. The device may allow an artist, such as makeup artist, to move freely around their subject while still keeping their material easily accessible. A kit or package is further described having the makeup palette and mixing surface device.

Abstract: A nail polish container is disclosed. The nail polish container includes a housing with a recessed portion and a nail-like component. The nail-like component is shaped and sized to substantially resemble a human nail, and the nail-like component is configured to moveably attached to the housing, such that the nail-like component is moveable between a retracted state in which the nail-like component is substantially accommodated within the recessed portion and an extended state in which at least a portion of the nail-like component protrudes away from the recessed portion. The nail polish container can allow user to apply the nail treatment to the nail-like component and positions the treated nail-like component in close proximity to the user's actual nail to simulate the visual appearance of the user's own nail if it had been treated.

Abstract: Provided is a nail pen for nail varnish application along a distal perimeter portion of a nail. The claimed invention obviates certain problems associated with the process of applying nail varnish onto the distal-only perimeter of a nail by presenting an apparatus and/or means for applying nail varnish in a controlled, uniform manner along the distal perimeter of a nail. The claimed invention provides a controlled means of disseminating a uniform strip of nail varnish along the distal perimeter of a nail. This desirable outcome is effectuated even for different varnish residue thicknesses and/or varnish colors. Also provided is a nail varnish applicator with a channel made from an impermeable material.

Abstract: The invention proposes a process for filling a unit container with a cosmetic product from a capsule containing a dose of said cosmetic product, where said capsule comprises a tube filled with said dose of cosmetic product, where said tube extends between a first end closed by a piston slidably mounted in a cylinder and a second end forming an initially closed outlet nozzle, and where said process comprises at least a preparatory step during which the outlet nozzle of the capsule is opened and at least one step of casting in which said cosmetic product is cast into the cosmetic product container.

According to an embodiment, a removable cap may be included to expose and cover the attached applicator. The upper end of the panel includes a loop through which a user's belt can be threaded in order to secure the cane holding device onto the user. Alternatively, the upper end may include mating fasteners adapted to form a loop for removable securement to the user's belt or other similar area of the user's body or garments.

Abstract: A method for controlling performance of an MCM capable support surface having a flowpath for guiding a stream of air along at least a portion of the surface, comprises specifying a desired evaporative rate greater than an evaporative rate achievable with unconditioned ambient air, chilling the unconditioned ambient air to a temperature at least as low as that required to achieve 100% relative humidity, thereby demoisturizing the air, and supplying the chilled, demoisturized air to the flowpath. The method may also include the step of heating the chilled, demoisturized air prior to step of supplying it to the flowpath. A system for carrying out the method includes a microclimate management (MCM) capable support surface 22, a chiller 60 for cooling air to be delivered to the MCM capable surface, a user interface 42 for receiving instructions concerning desired microclimate management performance, and a controller 50, responsive to the instructions, for operating the chiller.
